CGEF exclusive: Contest
CONTEST OVER: Tallies tomorrow.
Contest idea
last month when I attended the 13th annual William
S. Paley festival that the Futurama staff was at, I figured I'd take something
with me to get signed for CGEF to be used as a contest to help save Futurama.
So I took one of my extra LA Weekly magazine covers to the event and had everyone
I could get to sign it. So when I got back I had this cool magazine covered
with drawings and signatures, for your enjoyment of winning!
How to play
Simply enter your full name (please no usernames), enter your
valid email address (no fakes because then we can't contact you), and fill in
why you think FOX should renew Futurama for many seasons to come. Please don't
swear or describe depictions as to 'why fox should renew futurama' in any brutal
sense because we want to make this a peaceful fight.
Help the cause
You aren't just entering this contest to win a nifty prize either, no! You're
helping Futurama stay on the air because after this contest is over, we will
make copies of all the submissions and send them to fox! I know it's not going
to do much, but every little bit helps :)
Grand prize
 One
lucky person will win an LA Weekly hand signed in person by Matt Groening (with
a nice drawing of bender), Bill Morrison (Bongo comics), Lew Morton, Rich Moore
(with a drawing of Leela), David X. Cohen (co-creater), Maurice LaMarche (kif),
Phil LaMarr (Hermes), Bill West (Fry), Lauren Tom (Amy), John DiMaggio (Bender),
Eric Kaplan, and one more signature that I can't make out.
Second prize
Five runners up can choose from either a @doop.org or
@gotfuturama.com email forwarding address.
All entries must be submitted before or on April 29th at 12:00 AM Pacific
