Animation, continuity, and other goofs...
  • "Indiana Jones effect": The red frontier slows down considerably while going through the ship. {MW}
  • Looks like Fry didn't get neutered in "Fry and the Slurm Factory", but only his (reproducible) sperm got exterminated. {h}
  • When Enos and Fry sits in the dinner there are normal city-buildings across the street. When Leela and Farnsworth orders a meal from Mildred there you can see Roswell Airbase. {MN}
  • The Statue Of Liberty carries her trademark torch instead of a tube (Space Pilot 3000) or a raygun (opening credits). {S*}
  • While Fry remarks 'Everything will be OK, Dad' when talking to Enos'... erm... scrotum, which makes Enos his paternal grandfather, one of the most imminent common characteristics are style and colour of hair, both of which he seemed to have inherited from his mother in 'Luck of the Fryrish'. Now I hope he's not inbred, though that would explain some things... {S*}

Comments and other Observations...
  • Big "wows" goes out to Fry being his own grandfather, Bender's head being buried in the desert for 1,000 years... and to great quotes from Farnsworth: "Screw history!" and "Take that causality!" {D*}
  • This episode gets the season off to a great start. It was a little predictable in parts, like when Fry killed Enos and ended up becoming his own grandfather, but it was still funny. There were some nice quotes, and I liked Leela and Professor's outfits. {e*}
  • This episode was nominated for the Emmy award 2002 in the category "Outstanding Animated Program (For Programming Less Than One Hour)" along with "As Told By Ginger - Lunatic Lake", "King Of The Hill - Bobby Goes Nuts", "The Simpsons - She Of Little Faith" and "South Park - Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants". {MW}
  • It won that Emmy. {MW}
  • This episode was titled "All's well in Roswell" at first. {MW}
  • If he iss his own grandfather, he really is inbred. He has only three grandparents, and himself. {AH*}
  • It's kinda cute that they talk about making a fake moon landing, when it's still ten years till the USSR sends the first rocket into space! {MF}
