Opening theme promotion: LOVE IT OR SHOVE IT

At the annual shareholders meeting, Fry meets a 1980s Wall Street power player and ultimately nominates him to replace Professor Farnsworth as the CEO of Planet Express. The new CEO appoints Fry as Vice Chairman and differences are quickly discovered when the strategy is to sell off the Planet Express Company. A mutinous Fry realizes the bona-fide value of the enterprise and attempts to restore the original regime.

Animation, continuity, and other goofs...
  • Usually, when Bender sleeps, he closes his eye-shutter. Here he naps without that. {MW}
  • How comes that there are a few hundred people sitting in the final takeover meeting when all stock is owned by Mom or her three sons? Why are the people there if they have no stock and thus no interest whether the company gets acquired or not? {m}
  • When voting, Zoidberg votes in the takeover part, even though he sold his stock for a sandwich {r}
  • In one second at the ape fight Fry is sitting next to Morbo, but in the next scene he suddenly has disappeared. {CF}
  • How can the price on PlanEx fluctuate if all shares of Planet Express is owned by Leela, Amy, Bender, Scruffy, Farnsworth, Hermes, Fry and That Guy? Shareprices only change when a transaction are made. {MN}
  • In "How Hermes Requested His Groove Back" Hermes' locker was on the left side of Leela's, in this episode it's on the right side. {MN}

Comments and other Observations...
  • When the PE-ship stops at the traffic lights, the "MomCorp"-delivery building is far away. But at the window where Mom is standing she can hear Fry's "woooooo...." and actually see his ass. {CF}
  • Planet Express is now a public company, traded on the stock market. In "Space Pilot 3000" it was a private company owned entirely by Farnsworth. {MN}
