Fry really stole the show with the things he came out with, "that's impossible because my time is worthless" was one of the best. However the episode wasn't one of the greats by a long way.

I'm glad to know that other people cried because of this episode. All the weaknesses of the plot are more than made up for by the very touching portrayal of a parents' love.

Shows like that are hard to juge. it donsent have to be funny, to show someones back ground. i liked that show. Their's alot of ideas about her parents that are still open.

So Leela finally learns the truth about her origin. That's good for her, except that she's still an outcast, even though she's a mutant and not an alien.

not a bad old episode , and the whole mutant thing is something most people didnt expect...BUT!!! if you watch the first "sewer "epsiode in season 2
{I second that emotion] ....in one of the "crowd" scenes ...at the corner of the screen ...theres Leelas parents!!..2 seasons early!!..(only spotted this when they mention it on the season 2 dvd commentary)

This is my favorite episode of all time. The story was great, it was very touching. I think that making Leela a mutant wasn't as bad as a lot of people say. I like the character development and I 've liked Leela ever since the parasites lost episode so this episode just makes me feel warm and cozy inside.
