Awww......the ending was soooooooo sad!! i nearly cried =*(
this episode was as good as "The Luck of the Fryish" ... another sad ending there....=( but this was a really good episode, it's cool that we get to learn about the character's past...
**but there was one part that was really disgusting!! the part when it's in the past, and it showed Seymour in the pizza parlor...and Mr Panucci was making a pizza and he put it over Seymour's head...and then he sneezed in to it!!! *ewww* that was gross!! but other than that.....

the song that they played at the end was soo sad too...but it totally matched what was happening on the screen....

>>BEST SEASON 5 EPISODE EVER<< ..well, best of the two that have been aired so far....=

This was one of the best Futuramas so far. I think this deserves to be with the top 10 or at least the top 20. They just know where to hit us soft "sniff sniff"

Although the story was a little more touching as usual (similar to "Luck of the fryish" and "Leelas Homeworld") there were also many very funny parts in the plot. E.g. seymour swimming in the tomato sauce or the funny comments of the professor when everyone wants to jump into the lavapit.

definitelly a very funny though to some extinct also tragic episode(although i'm no dog owner)

Man what a stinky episode. No wonder they pulled it off the air earlier, this one was obviously made under either a lot of pressure or with a collective lack of inspiration. It's even worse than 'Leela's Homeworld', a similarily unbalanced, unfunny, tearjerker trying to win popularity in the mainstream crowd. I'll try to put it in comprehensible sentences: Shallow drama stinky! Cute doggy not nice! Good fun requires thought! Soap no good for brain!

In total, I've seen about 5 episodes of Futurama. The show never really entertained me. I ran into this episode while waiting for the Simpsons. Now, I'll be watching every episode of Futurama from here on out, and damn Fox to hell for cancelling the show.

After the show, I immediately ran to my dog and gave him a big hug. It's the Wednesday after the Sunday the episode aired and I STILL feel the emotional impact.

I'm 22 years old, for crying out loud (literally)! I didn't cry while watching Private Ryan or Schindlers List (came close for both)! For the love of God and all that is holy, how did an episode of Futurama do it?!

Dumb dogs! Dumb, sweet, lovable, loyal dogs! Where's my dog? I need to give him a hug... *sniff*

This was a very moving and sad episode, it was so annoying but so great.

Leela almost went in and was gonna show.. luckily the professor stopped her. That took away some of the sadness but it still was a very good Futurama ep.

Tears still well up in my eyes when I think of this episode. Let's hope the humans of the future are less self-centered than those of Fry's time. Fry truly is our 'Everyman'.

I work on the weekends so I missed the original airing of this episode...thank God (or Gore?) for the www and bless the folks who rip these episodes so that us schedule-challenged folks may enjoy them!
I'm a cynic...I would have agreed with Fry about Seymore "forgetting" about him after so much time. The ending really brought me down (in a good way) God I love this show....please let it never end!
Also, I liked the scene w/ Bender's robot dog...as annoying and contemptable as Seymore was adorable and loveable ("Commencing 2 hour yipping session"....love that line). Wouldn't mind seeing more Leela and Amy wrestling...also, more Scruffy and NO Hermes?!? what gives?

Live long and prosper......
