A kind of story that will touch everyone. I'd say this episode has a surprising ending, it is a kind of play - would we weep watching it or not.

I love these episodes while I still hate them. If you look under Parasites lost I feel the exact same way.

(P.S. In parasites lost I've figured out what I was thinking of,Leela wants to like him for his sweetness but can't because of his dumbness, until the parasites come and make him smart which Fry gets sad about since he figures out that he is only naturally 50% loved by Leela for his sweetness so he gets rid of the parasites to see if Leela will love him without them.It took me a month to think of that without making my had hurt.)

But could you Imagine how bad it would be to lose your best friend and waiting for him out on the street corner everyday of your life until you die. It's sad since it's one of the 2 things he left behind.
1.His dog who loved him more then anything.
2.His brother who didn't realize loved him so much.

I like these episode since they...hmmm...touch me in a emotional way that the simpsons never has. In the simpsons "Blah Blah Blah, fight, I'm sorry" thats all folks, this goes so much further with the universe and love that just doen't run in the family, since non of them are married and Fry is always hitting on Leela which keeps on getting stopped when something in the universe happens, unlike on The Simpsons(The Simpsons is still one of my favorite shows).

On Futurama though the Romance is good but when they make new epidodes on comedy central I hope they don't make as many tearjerkers since...well you know why.

on comedy central the only thing they should change is to showing it on comedy central.

I still like the sappys though.

In all honesty this is probably the best Futurama episode ever. Not only did it have its funny parts but it was touching and terribly sad. I think moving out of its comfort zone was a good way to present this episode of course they could have made it a happy ending but I think the writers wanted to comment on something deeper than just Frys old dog. As a televison comedy Futurama can be hit or miss but this is it defining moment as a televison show funny enough to make you laugh but sad enough to make you fight back tears. Truly great.

This had to be the absolute saddest episode of a cartoon that I have ever seen. I never thought I would find myself crying due to a cartoon, but... I guess I was wrong. Great episode, but I will find myself changing the channel if I see it on again cause I don't doubt the same thing would happen if I watched it twice.

This is the saddest animated episode of anything _ever_

Just thinking about the end of the episode brings me to tears, for a while I simply couldn't watch it.

An amazing example of how serious/emotional issues can be delivered through cartoons.

Simply amazing..

hi!
just watched the episode "Jurassic Bark" with my 8 years old girl. It was broadcasted on Teletoon (French network in Canada). She cried for half an hour and couldn't get to sleep. She was totally devastated ! I'll tell her that there a were a LOT of people like her touched by this story.
thanks for sharing!!
