I was really pleased with this episode. Sappy endings are a regular occurrence on Futurama, and some of them miss the mark, but I felt like this one got it right.

In the past, Fry's mother was portrayed as a bit neglectful, caring more about sports than her own children, but in this episode she was given a lot more humanity than we've seen before. We got to see an emotional connection between Fry and his father in "Cold Warriors", as well as Fry and his brother in "Luck of the Fryrish" and in this episode, Fry and his mother get a similar treatment. Seeing how much Fry and his mother cared for each other was something that felt new and it was refreshing to see. It felt genuinely poignant.

Great episode, and quite funny too. I was glad we got something like this before the recancelling, because an episode exploring Fry and his mother's relationship completes the "set" of episodes exploring the relationship between Fry and his entire family.

Good take on the Inception movie. I have normally not liked the mushy episodes from Fry's past but this was a solid episode and probably my favorite of the season thus far. The Niblonian and the key fob noise is a ridiculous premise though and the reason why it doesn't deserve a 5.

Stop going back to the pilot! It's getting contrived. The resolution to the plot was pretty disappointing. Mike Rowe should go back to Family Guy.

One of the saddest family guy episodes I've ever seen. Everyone knows the feeing of loving there mother, or most everyone, and to tug on those heart strings easily got a reaction out of me. Brought a tear to my eye
