I've been a futurama fan but keep missing the episodes, I've missed more than I've seen but they are always hillarious. This episode outdone them all for me. I only found this site because I wanted to know if this episode was available on DVD yet, it was that funny. There were so many trek jokes, both subtle and gross. I can't believe they got so many cast members to appear in it. Every Trekky would love this episode, they will probably show it at conventions. If Fox had just advertised this episode the ratings could have been packed with trekkies. Even the end credits were hillarious and filled with trek jokes (Kif as the alien at the last frame of the credits) I hope this show goes on and please do more Trek, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Space 1999, Dr Who, Battlestar Galactica etc. spoofs

This was a great episode. Clearly, the writers were Trek fans of the highest order. They poked fun and were reverent at the same time. By the way, the reason that it was a " retelling what happened mode" story was that it was paying tribute to the Trek episode, The Menagerie".

Probably the second greatest send up of Star Trek ever (the first being the SNL where the NBC executives dismantle the set, the third the SNL where Shantner tells the treckies to get a life). Great jokes, and something for everyone, be they full blown geek to having never seen Trek. Not the best of Futurama, but definitly shows what Furutama is at its best.

This has to be my least favorite episode. Fry never mentioned anything about Star Trek before in his life, and now all of the sudden he's their biggest fan? Now maybe I just don't like it because I'm too young to have really seen all the old Star Trek stuff, but I thought Futurama was better than making stupid attempts at _____ meets _____ episodes.
