A fairly average episode to continue from the first. It had some good moments and did the job that it was meant to do; introduce the rest of the crew.

In actual fact, this episode is better as a serious one. They show what has become of the moon and Fry's reaction, which I actually related to somewhat. It was amusing as well, but not nearly so much as later episodes.

great episode introducing everyone. I loved it. I'll tell you though, I think the idiots at fox 'scare' us into thinking they're going to cancel the show just to get people riled up and interested in the show again. It's all about money anyway.

I thought this was a great episode! I can't believe I only just saw it! And English, don't personally attack people like that, it's really offensive and mean. :(

"we're whalers on the moon, we carry a harpoon"

Hilarious. The bits involving the farmer were a bit slow, but the rest of priceless. Zoidberg, the buggy ride showing the moon landing (sort of), the magnet, Bender's rants.

5 points me thinks

Possibly the worst episode from season 1. A descent story but tackily made.

The second episode of the show despite being carefully scripted for the arrival of new characters, etc. was just a little bit bizzare. I'm talking about the alligators.
