this was one of the best episodes the best part was when they were beating the crap out of each other.

This episode is every Trek cliche collapsed into a single, hysterical story, with gag references to virtually every episode in the series, from the flashback storytelling device, to Melllvar's planet, to the battle between the casts, to the final plot twist. If you're not a Trek fan, you won't get most of them, but I think that's the point; the writers seemed to have meant this episode as a Futurama tribute to Star Trek. As such, it could be the single greatest Trek parody ever made.

With the passing of James Doohan, I think it's only appropriate...

Very nice episode. Though I do not watch Star Trek, I still enjoyed this episode.
The scene of the Star Trek crew doing pieces of the "fan script".

Spock trying to use a pressure point on Bender was great. When Shatner threw his boot at Takei
and said: "Uhh.. my foot's cold.."
made me laugh.
