My favorite episode of all, combining some laugh out loud moments (largely courtesy of Bender) and a sweet, touching finale.

Easily the worst episode of the series. They try to do something emotionally involving, but it sticks out like a third thumb. About as appropriate as outakes over the closing credits on Schindler's List.

You know you're being set up for a touching ending, but it's so well written, staged, and acted that it still gets you. Funny along the way, irreverent in the Futurama tradition, emotionally complex at the end...those who were offended should stick to watching Saturday morning cartoons in their Ninja-Turtle pajamas with the feet sewn in. One nice thing about the DVD is being able to hear the dialogue in other languages. Check out Yancy naming his son in the French version...the actor's reading is very emotional...

this review is for Deerooftrouser. I think that this seperates Futurama from any other animated series. It has emotion and comedy. Way better then the simpsons and family guy. You probably think i am a jack ass for even responding but that is what i feel about this episode

i agree with I.C. Weiner. this episode is excellent, it combines an excellent story with some kickass comedy. If you don't find it emotionally touching then you haven't connected with the characters as much as all the folks who gave it 5 stars.
