boy, this one was weak. the dog was annoying, the characters pretty much out of their roles and most jokes seemed very artificial. even bender had few good lines, and the professor talked too much of the same. the only funny thing was the excuse for the girls' fight.
it's always the same with futurama epsiodes that try to tell a story - they never really take off (see luck of the fryish, leela's homeworld and this one)

there was nothing in here that made me think clever/original/unexpected.
most overrated episode ever.

I've been an avid fan of Futurama since the first episode, and each time I sit down with the show, I appreciate how beautiful it became towards the end.

This is the first TV show/movie/anything that has actually made me cry. I can't put into words how sad it was. I've never seen a cartoon display such emotion before, and I doubt we will again. To me, this episode was flawless. A solid 5. If you're a dog lover, it's safe to say that you too will either cry or at the very least hold a tear in your eye.

I'm Italian: TOday i see this episode for the first time . Is the BEst Episode ever. THe end is so sad. Similar to the end in a simpson episode "[2F10] And Maggie Makes Three" With "DO IT FOR HER"

soooo sad! what made me and my friends cry was the fact that this was a true story, (not the cloning and the future part!) but i remember a story about a dog that used to wait for his master to come home from work every day at the train station, one day there was a train accident and his master was killed but everyday the dog went there just in case and that was for around 12 years too untill the dog eventually died. :(

I'm Italian, I also seen this episode yesterday... very touching, it reminds me Argo the Ulysses's dog who wait for 20 years his owner and die when finally see him. But in this case he doesn't see Fry...

so poignant, how can a very simple cartoon be so powerful?

I'm so happy to hear that most people cried while watching it because I did too. This is the episode that makes me want to own the Season 5 DVD REALLY bad.

This is by far my favourite episode, and the end seems to get sadder everytime I see it.
