We watched the episode "A Big Piece of Garbage" in an English lesson. One of us didnīt like it, because she thinks it is unreal, but the others believe it was funny, for example the reverse scuba suit. They criticize the people of the 21st century and how we treat our environment. This episode shows us the way we think about the people of tommorrow and the future.
And this is what we like so much about Futurama and the Simpsons. They combine a funny story with a critical view at the problems of our present society.

I find this episode to be filled with lots of originality (Wornstrom's walking fish) and plenty of laughs (with Gusto). My favorite episode of disc 2!

My least fav of season 1 but it was still ok. The whole Armageddon parody wasn't as funny as I thought it would be.

One of season 1's best, a great episode, really funny and well plotted. And Mayor Poopenmeyer is introduced who is a funny guy. When Fry smelt the garbage ball and almost vomited, that noise Billy west made was brilliant!

"The landfills were full. New Jersey was full."

"Perhaps some sort of death clock..."

"...and this appears to be a...doodle of myself as a cowboy"

"25 minutes... uhh 15 minutes...5 minutes...6h minutes?"

On the sign "Welcome home losers" heroes is crossed out)

It was the best with hilarious jokes like tenure and counting stupidly, and of course bart simpsons dolls and this is a doodle of me in a cowboy hat.

Fry: You got that off the internet? Back in my time the internet was only used for downloading porn.
Professor: Actually thats still true...
