I love this episode, like other people have said it has more depth than the Simpsons or Family guy ever will. It has its funny moments like Benders robo-dogs yipping session and the part with Amy and Leela wrestling in really skimpy outfits but then it has its really sad moments like the ending, and also when fry decides not to clone Seymour. I love the part where Fry's doing the Hustle and Bender and Leela are saying whats going on with there book.

Yeah, this one really deserved that emmy it was nominated for afer watching it again. I had already lost faith in the decisions of those things, but seriously. ANYWAY, this is one of my favorite episodes of Futurama, it really has a powerful ending, but the episode's also pretty funny, mostly due in part to Bender. "You're not fit to wear Fry's leotard!"

Have only seen this episode recently, I think I have to agree with the general consensus of opinion that this is possibly the greatest episode ever. Even just thinking about it makes me well up. I recently lost my dog - my beautiful little puppy and my companion for over 14 years, and I was the one that had to take him to the vets and stand there and stroke him and hold his paw as the anaesthetic took effect.

This episode brought it all back. I think this episode deals wonderfully with all the themes of loss. Loss and regret are the two most consuming emotions that it is possible to go feel and the fact that this cartoon evokes these feelings is impressive.

The entire episode just made me miss my puppy. If I could clone him and bring him back, I would.

I'm giving this episode a five for one simple reason - the ending. Absolutely devastating ...
