This episode was wonderful. It was funny when the professor said "Professor! Lava! Hot!". The way they transitioned from the flashbacks to the "present" at just the right time was perfect. The song that played at the end while the dog was waiting was sad and beautiful.

Only a few Futurama episodes have made me cry (including "Luck of the Fryish"). This one came very close. Although I didn't cry after the end of this episode, I was deeply depressed. Which is a good thing, because I want shows to offer my a wide variety of emotions, not just not-stop laughter.

This episode was bittersweet. Yes, it was sad that the dog died while waiting its entire life for Fry, but there were also a lot of good things about this episode. Fry and Seymour never forgot about each other (although Fry thought Seymour forgot him, another sad thing). Fry was able to move on and not dwell on his long-dead dog. Bender realized that he was being a jerk and made amends with Fry.

A few things I didn't like about the episode was Amy and Leela wrestling and Leela almost taking her clothes off. They weren't needed and felt out of place. Anyway, this was an extraordinary episode.

I hated this episode. I hate the writers for writing it. I hate Matt and David for thinking of it. And yet, I'm so glad I saw this episode. It's episodes like this that seperate The Simpsons and Futurama. Having recently just lost my dog, I can sympathize with Seymour and Fry. There's a few sad plot holes though, has Seymour been waiting for Fry in heaven for 1000 years? I wish they have left that last scene out, but I'm glad they left it in. Great episode, and the worst one ever made.

Tonight's episode is hilarious and a real tragedy. It could've had a 5 rating if it wasn't for that nasty scenes from the pizzaria.

I actually missed a few gags because i was laughing uncontrollably from Robopuppy. I had no idea that i also would be BAWLING uncontrollably from Seymour's demise at the end. How could they cancel a show that has mastered character development in a 30-minute time slot? Can't wait to see this ep again.

I find this episode to be incredibly deep in its own right- not just as a Futurama episode, but as a TV show period. It really provided greater depth to Fry's past and character. The greatest message I got from the episode was at the end. Fry didn't want to clone Seymour for fear that Seymour no longer remembered him. Seymour never forgot. It was truly sad to see the poor dog waiting so loyally for so long until ultimately departing. If Fry had only known he would not have taken his course of action. It is amazing how knowing one small detail can affect the course of our lives forever.

I give this episode a 5 out of 5 because it would be an injustice not to award it this rating, sad or not.

Itīs not my favourite episode. i would have given it a 4, but the fact that they did NOT clone the dog
made give it 5.
