Detective Holme's arch-enemy Professor Moriarty turns up in the holo-shed. {MW} + Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - "The Quickening" is a DS9 episode. In this episode the quickening was used about the final stage of a fatal disease called Teplan blight. {MN} + Star Trek: The Next Generation - The holo-shed parodied TNG's oft-malfunctioning holodeck. One malfunction did give Moriarty control of the Enterprise. {AH} - The Borg have a hive mind as mentioned by the professor, they first appeared in TNG. {a**} - Technobabble as observed in the scene with Zapp and the holograms was an important part of many Trek episodes. Most widely used in TNG. {MN} - The Nimbus has a low-tech glass-window, where the Enterprise have a main screen, byt both are used for the same thing. {MN} + Star Trek: The Original Series - Nigel VII sounds like Rigel VII. {AH} - The silicon Horta starred in the TOS episode "Devil in the Dark." It burned people to cinders with acid. {AH} - The doctor in sick bay is reminiscent of Dr. McCoy. {AH} - Zapp says Kif's toilet has "stun" and "kill" settings, like Star Trek's phasers. {AH} - When changing scenes on the holo-shed, the sound of beaming is used {A} - Abraham Lincoln apears in one episode. {a} - "It's a spaceship, damnit! Not a prom limousine" Farnsworth is copying Dr. McCoy's famous catchphrase. {MN} + Star Wars - Zapp says he "feels a very sensual disturbance in the force". {MN*} + You Only Live Twice - The way that the PE Ship is taken onboard the Nimbus is very similar to the way the space-crafts are taken in the film. {a**} ======================================================================== > Previous episode references ======================================================================== + [1ACV01] Space Pilot 3000 - O'ZORGNAK'S PUB {x} + [1ACV04] Love's Labour's Lost In Space - Zapp and Leela had their "encounter". Too many references to list them all. {MN} + [2ACV08] Raging Bender - Ring Announcer/Referee: "Ladies and gentlemen and smizmars!" {TR} + [3ACV01] Amazon Women in the Mood - Kif has the ability to walk on walls and ceilings. {MN} + [3ACV12] The Route Of All Evil - "Explosive decompression" {R} + [3ACV16] A Leela of Her Own - Bender says "Neat" and takes a snapshot {L} + [3ACV17] A Pharaoh To Remember - Bender has an Egyptian artifact from his time as pharaoh. {J} + [4ACV05] A Taste Of Freedom - Bender says "Neat" and takes a snapshot {L} ======================================================================== > Freeze frame fun ======================================================================== Book Leela is reading: GREAT MACHETE BATTLES O' ZORGNAX'S PUB We believe any I.D. Amy's Schedule: * Free * Bimonthly dimple rotation * Yoga Rave * Girlicure * Drop/Baby Shower * Shop * Lunch with Molly * Trash Molly with Tina * Trash Tina with Molly * Pony Aerobics * Cuteness Trainer * Recharge Bra * Extreme Aromatherapy * Finish Thesis, Buy Stocks * Adopt all Puppies * Pity Party for the less popular * Green Shirt day * New * Hang with Walter Koening * Tolstoy Seminar * Free * Neutron Croquet * Search couch for spare millions * Do something for myself * Hair-? The Angry Dome disappears (or is retractable). {AH} ... They suspect Fry as one of the "man-moms" but if you put slow motion on in the scene where Kif is about be sucked into space you can see that he never actually touches Fry's hand. {J} ... How did Leela get the basket she was left in at the orphanarium? In "Leela's Homeworld" warden Vogel just tossed the basket in a big pile of other baskets. It would be very hard to find the right one. Maybe Leela is just in denial about this. {MN} ... Kif can walk on ceilings, even when wearing boots and gloves? Either a goof, or he has special issued clothes. {MN} ... Kif's quarters now has a light panel in the ceiling. Previously, it was bare. {AH} ======================================================================== > Comments and other observations ======================================================================== ... Despite having been explosively decompressed into the void, Evil Lincoln is back onboard the Nimbus for a Bender-type "lean-in" later in the episode. {TR} ... Perhaps when Zapp goes back into the Holoshed for "relaxation" it goes on the fritz again which would explain Evil Lincoln's return. {CE} ======================================================================== > Contributors ======================================================================== {A} ArtiAC {AH} Alan Hamilton {CE} Chris Edwards {DD} Dr. Dave {J} Jamie {JS} Jon S {L} LB {MN} Michael Nissen {MN*} Magnus Nordlander {MW} Marc Wichterich {R} RandomEngy {T} TF {TR} Timo Reger {We} What ever {a} alex {a*} awol {a**} aslate {x} xmpel Document created on 01/31/2023 at 10:33:01 CET http://www.gotfuturama.com/Information/Capsules/4ACV01.txt
