I think the reason this excellent episode's reviews are so low is because it isn't as good at the original, stellar "X-Mas Story." Still, it was definitly a 5-star episode regardless.

Hi everyone, this was (and still is) my fav episode of all times, next to "The Honking". Loved the twisted humour and singing of X'mas carols. I think the best part was when the gang tried to save Bender from the torture device and Dr. Z appeared with his classic line "And I'm his friend, Jesus!"

The episode starts with some rather good jokes, but it is becoming some kind of 'hey lets just blow some things up' from then. I read through the other rating and see a lot of 'the best episode ever'... Do you write that to all episodes cause you're blind or just some kind of numb?

very cool episode, almost better than the first x-mas story.
leela: "remember professor, bender is santa, so we don't need to hurt him"
farnsworth: "yes yes yes, you sound like a broken MP3"
[bender drops through chimney and farnsworth shoots him]
judge whithey: "how do you plead"
bender [rising]: "not santa"
farnsworth: "there he is again!"
[shoots bender again]
