waiting and asking, asking and waiting, a Futurama video game for the PS2 and X-Box hit the shelves in August 2003.

The Futurama game is published world wide by the England based developers at SCi, while Vivendi Universal Games takes over for North America by . The actual game development was done by UDS, located in Sweden.
"Futurama - The Game" is a 3D action-adventure game, where you must interact with other characters throughout 21 levels including both Old and New New York, Asteroid Junkyard, Sun City and Bogard Bayou.
To the right you can see a small in-game screen shot featuring Fry in his cell-shaded look which appeared in the UK gaming magazine PSM2.
Through an exclusive interview, we were able to get some information out of game producer, Anders Hejdenberg. We have also found out that Mark McGinley - who previously worked on Wipeout 3, Wipeout Special Edition, Lemmings Revolution and Retro Force - is the senior designer for the Futurama game.

The game is very straightforward and easy to pick up and play, featuring a superb mix of action (shooting, flaming, kicking and punching); agility (jumping, climbing); simple puzzle solving (activate generator to use elevator to reach new area) and of course hilarious dialogue.
The story so far... The evil businesswoman Mom has bought Planet Express Deliveries from Professor Farnsworth. By doing so she now owns over fifty percent of the Earth, making her the supreme ruler. Her first step is to enslave all humanity and turn the planet into a gigantic warship to conquer the known Universe. The player’s goal is to prevent Mom from Universal domination by taking the Planet Express crew back in time to stop the deal from going ahead.
Further info: it will involve, strangely enough, shampoo, time travel and puzzles on different planets. The plot was created with the help of scriptwriter and producer, J. Stewart Burns. Game voices are done by the actual Futurama voice talents. The really funny cut scenes are done using the gaming graphic engine.
