Fry goes out to buy Leela a present on Xmas Eve, despite the crew's warnings. Disregarding their objections he gets into trouble when Santa arrives.

The very first Futurama christmas episode is Xmas Story & if this is anyhing to go by then I can't wait for the others. This is an excellent episode containing many funny moments such as the digital clock which Fry grabs hold of while hanging for dear life. I love Robot Santa with his guns & hand grenades (Christmas decorations) & Rudolfs nose glows red when angry.
It has a good storyline & a solid beggining middle & end. It contains a porody of Oliver & a reference of the sewer mutants, It's also brought up a debate amongst fans about Pine Trees. Overall an excellent episode.

This is possibly the funniest episode there is so far, or, well, certainly up there.

I saw this episode for the first time last Christamas Eve, and of course it was brilliant. Cool twist with the whole Santa situation, the robotic Santa getting some brilliant lines, especially his response to Fry's offer to put out milk and cookies for him. How amusing to note that not even he can find fault with Dr Zoidberg!
The little English Dickens-style robot, Tinny Tim, was cool too (you gotta love that name!). I love the highly innocent way in which he talks, even when proposing to mug Fry and Leela! Also, the ending was really good, with clever new lyrics sung to a familiar festive tune, and Santa's warning over the closing credits was inspired. It won't ruin it for you if you haven't yet seen it.

Merry X-mas to all! The thing with the skying and Fry's problem with the trees gave me one of the laughs I ever had in this series! The atmosphere is very great! This Nudity- joke and a quite good Santa (thanks to J.Goodman for this cruel voice) make this episode worth earning 5 points.

Has anyone else noticed how high-pitched Leela's voice gets whenever she sings? Katey Sagal should tone it down a little bit.

I just saw this one for the first time last night on Cartoon Network, and I was pleasently surprized. This was an excellent ep. It had a lot of humor and some of that Fry Leela stuff we all want. The Santa was hillarious too. What was his fascination with Zoidberg. The best line:

THIS EPISODE DESERVES A FIVE. I loved this eppy, so very much. The idea of a homicidal Santa was indeed hilarious! XD!!! And he was a robot, as well! So many twists were in this episode, and I loved it. Certainly a treat for ANY Futurama watcher. ;)

I liked this episode, however this was not my fauvorite. Defentley great story and concept, however I felt that some of the humor was missing. I also appreciated the tribute to Gift of the Magi story in the end (when Zoidbergs gives out hair clippings, and Amy shaves her head to buy hermes his clippings, etc.) Loved the naked proffesor humor. I hated how the writers tormented us with yet another broken kiss b/w Fry and Leela. Ohterwise good epsiode, not that funny, but good concept.

This episode in my opinion ranks with "Anthology of Interest 1" as one of the funniest episodes on the show, for there are many hilarious things in this episode: The insult from Conan O' Brien towards Bender, the Bobsledding incident, the annoying parrot, when Robot Santa makes excuses of his own ("I perform over 50 megachecks per second";"You dare bribe Santa?!), the "Charlie Brown Christmas" reference, when Robot santa gives Zoidberg a pogo stick, and many other gags. You'll love this episode, I guarantee it.

This episode is easily in my top 3; kicks the hell out of "Tale of Two Santas," because it has the emotional aspect of Fry's feelings for Leela added to one of the funniest episodes ever. The 'trees up, trees down' thing, the 'Gift of the Magi' reference ("Finally! I look as pretty as I feel!"), and Fry learning the meaning of 'X-mas' make this a great episode.

This is one of my favourite episodes. I just love all the Zoidberg jokes (aka the Apology Dance) and the fact that he was the only PE crew member who got a present was so cool...who said Zoidy was a bad mutant lobster? The T.O.W Missile, the TREES UP/DOWN joke and the digital clock were all brilliant. One of the best episodes ever!

Funny! Funny stuff! Its cool that John Goodman came and played Santa. I liked this one a bit more than "The tale of two Santas". I really liked the parts with Leelas present[the parrot]. This was a really funny episode from the beginning to the end.

I'm glad they released this episode. It not only brings a level to Futurama the series it also brings a new level to all animated series.
This episode is great in humor, animation, plot and is especially smart.
This episode along with it's sequel are in my opinion, to of the best episodes in the series.
I love the whole feeling of this episode. Even though it's set in the future it feels very Christmas like.
I love Bender volunteering at the homeless robot shelter and goes door to door while actually going into a house and trashing it.
I'm so glad they also made a sequel to this and further expanding upon Santa's world and also introducing the gay elves.

This was one of my favourites. The evil robot santa idea is fantastic and had me in hysterics! But the best part of the episode is the underlying hints of Fry and Leela's feeling for one another. The near kiss was great - if only they'd made it real! I absolutely loved the bit when Fry was falling off the clock and at the last moment Leela appeared out of the window and grabbed him. Call me a soppy romanatic but I really loved that! It was so sweet. Five out of five for a truly perfect episode.

The Robot Santa is a classic character. While the episode is slow in its first half, it makes up for it in the second half with its fast-paced story of both Fry finding his parrot and the Robot Santa's attacks.

Hehe. Great ep! Too bad the reset button was pushed on Leela after this or she probobly would be dating Fry. Grr! I have to say, I'm a shameless shipper of Fry+Leela. they just belong together! ARRRRGH!!!!! Anywho, I love all the bits on Evil Santa! "Oh God! He doesn't know about Santa!" Then Fry replies: "I know about Santa..." LoL! I also like: "Uh, your present may need some assembling." One of my all-time favorite episodes. "You're lonely, and I'm lonely--but together, we're lonely together" is not only one of my favorite lines in the series, but also such a bittersweet way of describing the losses both Fry and Leela have endured.
