Leela meets a one eyed alien and discovers that he's the only one left when she visits his home world.Bound to the idea of propagating her race she slips into factual slavery in marriage.

The first time I watched this episode I was'nt very keen but after re-watching it, the episode gets better every time.
It contains one of my favourate scenes in any cartoon ever, the scene where the crew go into the internet. This part of the episode is fantastic! It's full of eye candy & imagery while being very original & creative.
I love the part where the crew play the video game with each other which contains a Donkey Kong reference & many other references to classic video games. It's also funny & gets emotional at the end when Leelas loses hope of ever finding the man with one eye that she met & Fry destroys (in video game only).
The rest of the episode is also very good & Bender is particually funny when stealing all of the valuables. It's the story of a con artist who tricks Leela into loving him but ends brilliantly when we find out that the man with the one eye has many forms which he can morph into & the one eyed form is not his true form.
We see him struggle when all his lies are discovered by Fry & Bender & which results in another one of the best moments Futurama has offered, His other 4 wifes to be find out & we see him on the spot struggling, morphing into the different forms of his brides. This is a very funny scene.
Overall a classic episode that needs to be re-watched to gain full apreciation but then again all the episodes should be watched many times. It's not one of the very best episodes but it's very good.

Otis is correct about the Internet scene in this episode. It was not only funny but quite brilliant and accurate, from the pop-up ads that the crew had to escape from to the chat rooms in which Bender was able to disguise himself as a nurse in.
And the "Married With Children" parody that came later? Well... let's just say it was bound to happen sooner or later. And I approve of it!

This is one of my favourite episodes. The Internet part at the beginning makes me laugh everytime. It also contains the now classic quote (said by the lovable Bender) "I love stealing, I love taking things!". Overall I thought this episode was brilliant.

obviously the net scene was off the hook. i can't stand married with children yet the deception of leela's homeworld had me going as well. lots of visuals. leela played her part to perfection till she became docile near the end. not keen on bender stealing of course but eh, i was brought up different like. but bender imitating a woman on the net was priceless. suckas! it said.

Ok, bad news first. This ep slowly but surely, undergoes a hideous malformed transformation, slowly and repulsively (thinking john carpenter's The Thing) turning from animated sci-fi comedy, into animated soap-opera, with a partial sci-fi theme.
However.

This was a really good episode. I liked the animation for the popcorn explosion. The spoof of "Married With Children" was good, especially the laugh-track-like hooting and low-brow jokes. The internet and chat room jokes were funny.
The few sentimental moments (like at the very end) weren�t too sappy. Bender�s constant stealing of things was funny at first but got boring because it was used too much. Fry was funny us usual.

This was a great episode bringing back some Married with Children paraody for with Katey using her Peg voice again. Fry's involvment was funny that he doesn't know to take a dump in a corner.
Too bad that Ed O' Neil didn't come to play the role of Alkazar. The main storyline that Al is dating multiple species is funny plus Bender stealing everthing in sight is just plain funny.

I saw this episode for the first time last night on Cartoon Network, and I thought it was really good. I really liked the Married with Children thing, and how Alkazar has his hand down is pants like Al Bundey. Poor, poor Leela. Why can't she just suck it u and be happy with Fry?

Well, I've seen better but it started out great with the internet bit and all of that and when they showed bender full of stolen stuff I couldn't stop laughing, but the lovey dovey put up with being treated badly just didn't fit leela's personality even if she wanted to know who she was, she's usually the smart one of the group.

While viewing the first scene I really thought that this might just be the best episode yet. The internet sequence was just perfect! I really enjoyed the gang playing the internet game, shooting eachother to death and game over! Fry was the funniest ever in this episode. However, after this scene, it all went donwnhill and I dind't like the cyclops guy/story. But the first scene is a must see for futurama fans.

Even tho this episode is made for Leela, i think Fry really takes it away from her here, Loved the part where Fry takes everyone out in the cybergame, and when hes in the dungoun all the time, the rest with bender was also funny, with him steeling all the time. It has many refrences to sci fis includeing tron, star wars,donkey kong, the matrix, and many more!

The second time I saw it I was more of a fan and I knew who Katey was. I didn't know she was on Married...With Children though.
The third time I saw it I had watched a few Married...With Children episodes and it made this episode SO FUNNY!

I love that Married... With Children prorady. When they started the catcalls and hooting, I followed along with them. I gotta tell ya it was fun!
I also like it when the crew was playing the video game and it was playing that techno music. It felt like I was actually playing a V.G!

Whole episode was good, but if i know the show well enough they wouldn't of wanted to figure out Leela's origins just yet. Anyways People should of known that it was a scam just like you can find fakes and frauds on the internet trying to be someone they aren't. I second that emotion gave away a clue that Leela's real parents were sewer mutants if you looked closely in the crowd. Loved the peggy parody and Bender stealing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As with Bender, I agree and congradulate the guy "Al" into fooling so many women.
Not the marriage part, but the riches he has astounds me.
One thing does bother me, though:
Why didn't he marry them then divorce them to get the riches? I mean, he can change form, so it not hard to plead his case in court, unless of course he treated the "ladies" badly.
Basiclly, I'd hate to be his lawyer. Plus the fact I am not a lawyer. lol.

In cartoons there are little mistakes that you could ignore and forget about,
then,
there are big mistakes that can sometimes ruin the entire episode if you consider the mistakes for more then half a minute.
This episode has many mistakes that do stray from the episode.
What's with the statue with different amounts of eyes?
What's with the setup of the villages?
Did the shapeshifting creature actually make the picture of the women that resembled Leela?
Aside from all these questions the episode is nothing short marvelous.
Opening internet scene great. For some reason it brought me back to the old arcade games.
Bender getting turned into a Robot sliking and plundging into a sea of lava, great! Reminds me of the old Mortal Kombat games.
And the animation on the internet and the scene where the cyclops village is burning down, I don't think I ever seen a cartoon show that much effort in animation.
Bender gets some pretty good laughs with his looting and Fry being stuck in a tunnel cage system was funny as well.
In my mind this is the popint where the episodes stay at a pretty good level right before plundging again.
Oh well,
At least this kept me entertained.

He tells her that they are the last surviving cyclopses in the univerce and leela decides to repopulate the cyclops race with him. But he starts taken advantege of leela and becomes a jerk. Just when leela is about to break up with him he proposes to her and confused she accedentaly says "yes" and the rest is for you to find out.
"Fry, It's my wedding day, I'm a little busy. Please try, be happy for me so that at least one of us is."

Futurama creators should have asked Al Bundy to dub his own character.. THE ONLY thing that was wrong with this magnificent episode was that they put some cheap actor to dub Al Bundy from Married With Childern Parody.

Good episode, but here's something crazy. Check out one of the last scenes in this episode. It's the one where Leela rips Alkazar at the end of their botched wedding, where everyone is cheering her on. Fry and Bender are towards the top left corner, sitting on the big lizards. Fry has two pairs of arms. You can even see it in the frame grabs for this episode. Take a look.

Wonderful. I love episodes where Leela gives it up to some jerk. Real slice of life. "How do you take your coffee?" "With pancakes and sausage." Classic! Also: "Leela is experiencing the greatest joy a woman can feel: worshipping some lowlife jerk." And: "We all have needs. Mine was to make it with five weirdos and have them scrub my five castles. I gave you all what you wanted and of course I made a few bucks letting Pig watch through the two way mirror. Can any of you say you wouldn't have done the exact same thing in my position?" Beautiful.

Just like Mars University, this episode falls into the trap of parodying a comedy. Maybe it's because the parody is quite affectionate and I hate Married with Children or maybe it's just because the sitcom-esque moments undermine what could be quite an epic story but this episode relies on laughs more than plot. And it has enough to get by, but it's hardly not an amazing episode.

One of the best! I was (am) a fan of the first few seasons of Married...with Children. So that influences how I feel about it. Also, I started using the internet for the first time back in '95 and I remember those long dial-ups using AOL, so this one has just gotten better with time.

Another one of my favorite episodes, and one of the best Leela-centric ones. For once (in season two, that is), Fry acts in a non-jerky way and saves Leela from making a huge mistake. The internet stuff is also pretty cool, and the animation in this one (the Emmy award-winning corn!) is particularly striking.

i find this episode ok the internet part mainly the video game to be enjoyable but every thing else i find to be funny and good. oh ya and bender stealing all of Alcazar stuff to be the most funny part of the whole episode.
