Very good but not one of the best. I love the part where Bender gives that kid a baseball bat to hit the other child with. Also there is some emotion in it such as we find out about Leela's past which gives it depth.

Mir hat diese Folge sehr gut gefallen! Keine Ahnung warum die Leute hier so wenig Punkte gaben. Leela's Auseinandersetzung mit ihrem Auge und die R�ckblenden in ihre Kindheit fand ich sehr gut und erz�hlt viel �ber ihren Charakter.
Superwitzig ist nat�rlich auch Bender als Babysitter!!!

This was brilliant! Only bad thing about this was that Zapp, Kif and the Omicrons wern't in it.
This is my 3rd favourite episode.
I loved the bit with Zoidberg and his ink pouch "Voovoovoovoovoo!"

the story is not as interesting as others and doesn't have as funny settings as other episodes (e.g. "insane in the mainframe" or "tale of 2 santas"), but the sub-plot of bender adopting the children is definetly worth seing.

This episode was about average, but then again, it focused on Leela pretty much.

After attending a reunion at the Orphanarium, Leela still hasn't shaken the stigma that had all the kids laughing at her one eye. She soon meets a former orphanarium person, and he offers to fix her eye. within days, Leela is now sporting a prosthetic eye, thrown out her monocles, and is now seemingly feeling like a 'normal' member of society, much to Fry's heartache.

Meanwhile, Bender hits on another scheme to try to get money. Taking 12 orphans (government pays you $100 a week for each Orphan, so 12 Orphans equals 1200 Wing-wangs). However, the kids soon prove to be a little too much for Bender to handle.

Leela would have looked normal if the eyes were drawn big like the other characters (except for Amy), and the doctor (whatever his name was) overuses his desire of "normal," that I think, although Leela was so happy to be normal, would have picked up on, and would have gotten aggravated (spelling?) earlier.

Funny episode. Two-eyed Leela looked weird. Maybe because her eyes were too far apart or too slanted. Bender's subplot was funny. Fry's jealousy was pointless but had some good gags.

This episode didn't have a lot of memorable lines, but it had a good plot and subplot and a few funny jokes.

This has not one of the better Futurama episodes. The main plot revolving around Leela was a bit boring and had no real humor in it, although it did develop Leela's character. The Bender plot was much more entertaining when he adopts all those kids. I liked how Zoidberg kept spraying everyone with ink. Overall I give this episode a 3.

I give it a slightly above average rating because of the info gained about Leela's past and the baceball bat gag! It was also nice to see a short break from the one liners and jokes, keeping Futurama more serious and fun to watch than the Simpsons, of which the non-stop gag reel never ends. :)

Just like Adlai, this episode was mainly quite average, although there were a few hilarious lines that made me give it a 4.

The Leela plot seemed strangely similar to Parasites Lost - Fry/Leela change something about themselves that make an object of their desire like them. Fry/Leela eventually realise that the other person only likes them because of this and go back to the way they were. However, I did like this plot and it taught us a bit more about Leela's personality and past. I also loved the numerous "average" jokes, especially wih the flowers.

The Bender plot was a typical silly subplot, with lots of laughs. My only problem is that I did find some aspects a little disturbing - I'm probably too naive, but I like to think Bender's not quite as mean as to try and sell children as food. The ending was sweet and funny though.

A good episode, but there was a part which I didn`t like: Leelas change of mind at the end.

I mean, of course it was obvious that she had to become a cyclops again eventually, but for me it came too suddenly; she just had a short fight with her boyfriend about the girl with the three ears and then told him to change her back. It was not really believable for me.

Her reason was okay, but I think the writers really should have invested more time for her to develop the desire of becoming "one-eyed" again.

Adlai sux! Leela, 2 eyes, no way. Altho she could have forced her will onto Adlai, making him conform to her whims, as he was a complacent 'pleaser'.
Also, I learned the meaning of the word 'stipend'. BTW, it's harder to get orphan kids for the money than it looks.

One of the best episodes. This episode had some great moments (Adlai dulling down his Hawaiian shirt, Bender's bedtime story, Bender's adoption service, Bender's entire part) and really funny jokes ("Cursed with a 3rd ear, but so full of that emotion I understand is called love!"). I kinda liked Leela's second eye--though her single eye looks better. Still, a great episode.

Maybe it's a four I'm not sure. It did have good stuff about her childhood. However watching it again it had some irritating things.

I agree with those who say her decision to become a cyclops again was way too abrupt. Although I wanted her to become one again she never seemed to have any doubts that two eyes were better. Until she saw the little three eared girl, but she barely even spoke with her. Just as odd once she breaks up with the human yawn factory she pretty much forgets her. Three eared/tailed girl goes back to her dreary Orphanarium none the better. (Although in "Bender must not be allowed on TV" she's among the "cool kid" invited to the best parties so maybe things turned around for her.)

Leela looks better with one eye, except when she pokes it with her finger in this episode (the squelching sound is horrible).
One line made the show great:
"Bender! Stop! Its a baby!"
Fantastic stuff with lots of Zoidberg, but I preferred the bender subplot.

I loved this episode, because I feel for Leela. I have a disability, and I can't walk. People always say, "That's so good for a person who's handicapped!" I admit, no one picked on me, but indeed, I picked on myself.
So anyway, enough about me, to the ep!
I too feel for Leela in the fact she wants to be normal. I have at times. ^^ But Fry, Fry's a good guy.
Also, BENDER? A DADDY? THIS had me cracking up. HIM? RAISE TWELVE KIDS? XD!!!
And yup, again we see Bender's soft side. ^_^
That guy...*forgot his name* That dated Leela, he was a JERKWAD. I punched the screen when I saw him.
He was so BIASED.
So anyway, all in all, worthy of a five.

One of my favorite episodes! I laughed, I cried, I threw up (just kidding). It was cool to see Leela with two eyes although they looked a little funny. Maybe the animaters were too use to one eye. Oh, well.

I absolutly loved Bender's subplot when he adopted the twelve kids. He would be such a fun father! (Although the whole responsibility part uhh... he might need some work on that)

The jokes just kept on rolling! A must see!

The ending scene is my favourite, when the orphans give Bender the drawing, and he's all like "what a SHIT" first, but after all he keeps it. That was the CUTEST thing i've ever seen .. and we thought robots have no emotions?XD

the bender as father plot was amazing, one of the best futurama ideas ever, and leela with 2 eyes was pretty cool, especially the 'pretty woman' sequence ;-).

also the name of the episode is awesome, "the cyber house rules", i have no idea why but i really like it.

Although I liked the show from the very start, I never really got into it until about the middle of the second season. By the third, I was utterly addicted.

I found this bitter-sweet episode close to outstanding, in that it continued developing themes introduced earlier on, such as Leela's bravado masking a terrible sense of rejection, or Bender's incorrigible roguery somehow proving his humanity.

Another thing I enjoyed about the series - and this episode in particular - was Fry's lovable innocence. Despite his errant stupidity, he is the only decent man Leela has ever known; demonstrated in this episode as much by his child-like jealousy as by his unfailing devotion.

Leela never really notices that he's the only one who doesn't care how she looks, but the again, we rarely recognise a diamond in the rough the first time we see one.

I tend to wonder if Fry would have had any problem adopting a three-eared child if that's what Leela wanted . . .

It is really hard to give you a good description what makes this episode good or bad.

Anyways basically Bender made this show funny not Leela.

I do not think if it was for Bender with adopting those 12 kids to try to make a profit this episode would not have been very good.

I guess you get to see a another side of Bender when he adopts kids to make a profit.

Seeing Leela with 2 eyes did not seem right because we are used to seeing Leela with one eye.

I always like when Dr. Zoidberg sprays out ink.

If it was not for Bender adopting those 12 kids and seeing how Bender handles those 12 kids to make a profit is something else.

This episode would be getting a 2

So I give this episode a 3 which is average.

I Loved this one! I liked the part where Amy Wong said, "Spoolps!" and Bender read the kids his arrest record. I also like the part where Bender was thinking the "baby" was trash and began stepping on it. It looked pretty cute when Bender put a drawing of him with the 12 kids and all of them dogpile on him. Aw!!! I loved it when Bender opened that picture and stuck it on the door of his case! I also like it when he screams "I Hate You All!!!" to those kids. It was pretty funny. I also LOVE it when Fry and Leela hugged! But, u know me, Fry and Leela 4Eva!

An OK episode. It wasn't the funniest as it involved Leela alot and Leela isn't very funny.

Though Bender looking after his orphans (particulary when he made them run out on a cheque at the restaurant and when he read them his arrest record as a bedtime story) was very funny and Zoidberg squirting ink at everyone was the funniest thing I've seen in ages.

I extremely disagree with the first person who made the Numero Uno Comment. I have never been happier! Amy is on fire! Amy, Amy Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy,Amy,Amy,Amy Amy,Amy,Amy,Amy,Amy! I don't think she is considered a klutz and I don't care about what everyone else says if some boys are so called "Feminists" it part of life and reality. In the episodes entirety its average.The whole episode feels as though its from another TV series.The only good part about the episode is Bender's subplot.Without it, the episodes basically a throwaway. It's episodes like this one that got the show cancelled in the first place.Guy Pilla sucks!

I like this episode. I love on the sign of the Taco Bellevue Hospital
that it says 'Gotta healthy normal baby? Super-size it for 49c!'. I also love when Bender is bringing the chair through Elzar's, it hit's Zoidberg on the head and he says "Help I'm under attack!". Another "I'm sure Leela's tired of morons gaping at her eye all the time". "OOOOIIAAAIAAAIOOO".

'The Cyber House Rules' is a very funny episode, the subject matter is quite dark (adopting for the benefit money), but the episode manages to flourish throughout with hilarious jokes. The main problem is that the episode throughout is running at a comofortable, speedy pace and then it ends - like a car going at seventy and then the brakes are heavily applied.
