Good ep, except that Fox jumped into it here AFTER the Bender "what if" so that the morons at the NFL desk could jerk around. The actual game was over at exactly 6:00 pm CST. No respect for this show, I tell ya.

Okay, that was laugh out loud funny. The second part was absolutely hilarious. I love the "all your bases are belong to us" reference. Very well thought out. The first and third parts weren't as funny, but at least Simpsons level funny. A great episode!

Great stuff, finally we get to see the darn thing. I liked the first AOI better though, although this one had its moments. I hope Scruffy makes more appearances in AOI3. The best parts were Bender's antenna and Leela using the PE ship on Amy. LOL!

The first part was great. The antenea, had me laughing for a while. I didnt like it that bender died :( Wooo
Second part, omg, I am complete. I couldnt stop laughing, it was so perfect. Fry was so casual..."Oh, I had another guy" and donkey kong, haha, and the space invadersm so great. "Speed up, reverse direction" So great. The whole episode shoulda been this one skit.
The third part was dissapointing. After such a great beginning, I was hoping for some other 1 eyed peoples, but being a witch was cool too. Haha she turned em all into frogs. Who needs courage when you have a gun?
This was by far the best episode I have ever seen of any series ever in my life. Now, if only the piraters would hurry up and get this episode on morpheus...grrr...

I thought this episode was great, even though it's hard to find one that isn't. I liked all the skits, and the gaming one was good, but I think they could have made it a little better still.
And as a side note, that Simpsons.....I don't even know why I watch that show anymore, why can't they just end it already!!!! this is almost as bad as in that movie se7en when the bad guy kept that poor guy alive for almost a year using needles and vitamins! Just end it!!!!

Heh, this episode rocked. The Space Invaders bit was too much .. blasting away to Rush's "Tom Sawyer" reminded me of my old arcade days back in the early 80's :) The "All your base" reference was really good too. I found myself laughing out loud on that one ... also in the last skit, the part where the witch slapped her "vewing mirror" around and said "Damn this DSL" LOL good stuff !!

What happened here? That was horrible! :( Especially the second story had potential and could have been really great and original I think but it was amazingly poorly executed.
About the Simpsons comments: I agree with everyone else that said the show is horrific now. It's pure torture nowadays, and just embarassing when you think where the show comes from. It's tragic to witness the show which I used to consider the greatest and most brilliant television series ever plummet down to such an unbelievably low level. Just cancel the show already! It should've been done ages ago :o

Definately below my expectations in contrast to the first Anthology of Interest. A lot of it was just silly in my opinion. The only thing I enjoyed was the 2nd story with the video games, really. I had friends over that hadn't seen Futurama and this episode was kind of embarrassing to introduce them to, with the newly-made human Bender spewing up a storm. I didn't find much of anything funny about the 3rd story, except Leela squashing Amy with the Planet Express ship's stairs. If this is a sign of how low the writers were on ideas at the end of season 3, I'd hate to see what the season 4 episodes have to offer!
But of course, many think that these "Anthology of Interest" episodes are meant to be stupid and that I'm being too harsh. But I think that the first AoI had a lot more dignity to its stories..

I loved "adventures in gaming". My husband I laughed very much especially since he spent much of his youth with a 2 liter of Shata and a mixed RUSH tape. Too funny!!

A superb episode, especially the second part obviously. The space invaders was just classic - "you should have shot where I was going to be, not where I was".
The third part was ok, the funniest bits I thought was bender drinking the alcohol with a straw, and zoidberg's "I think there's a problem with the upsatirs toilet". I haven;t laughed that hard for a while.

I thought that the first one was the best one. There were some funny parts, "Hmmm, maybe I should wiggle it around a little." The second part was okay. I thought it was a bit weak though, and the third one I thought was the second best one. "You killed the manwitch!" "Hey, that explains how these boots were magically put on my feet." "No you stole them. We saw you." "Well...it's kinda hard to find shoes that fit me." There's one word that describes the episode, (Woooooo......

This was the best episode evr. I loved the second act about the world being more like a video game. I twas clever, funny, and even better than I expected it to be. The opener was good too. I liked it at the end when all the scientists partied with Bender. That was great. The 3rd act Wizard Of Oz was great as well. It was perfectly executed. I hope Futurama has many Seasons to come.

I liked it quite a bit. I think the writers are doing a great job at doing a Simpsons-esque recurring/recycling character theme, as well as good self-parody (mockingly 'adding' characters as they added Scruffy in during the first AOI). I think the content was good, execution was O.K.... the video-game episode COULD have been worthy of an Oscar, but instead it settled for a Grammy. Also, in case you didn't notice, there are a few questions the writers hint at asking the "What-if" machine, but are only slowly doing... such as "What if Bender was a human" (hinted in first AOI)... I'm glad they only revealed so much (and didn't show Leela's skit). I do wish they let some different characters ask "What-ifs" next time (Zoiberg, Prof, and Amy anyone?). 5 Points by far!

Pretty funny in it's own right, but as a successor to AOI I it was a disappointment.
There where some good ideas in here, that could have turned out as classics, but the stories somehow got lost.
"I, Meatbag": A very good idea, and it started out great. The atenna joke was spot on, and it was hillarious to see how Bender totally lost control of himself. I could have done without the puke-scene though, that was a little too inmature. His fascination of human emotions and temptations was great though. The ending was weak, pity. Fat Bender just wasn't funny, and the Nobel thing wasn't either. Really pulls this story down.
"Raiders of the Lost Arcade": I was one of those kids who spent a great deal of their youth (and allowances) in video arcades, so this really struck a cord with me. It was great to see all those old video games characters again, but the story was little else than cameos. I didn't laugh much through this. I like Lrr's line about the Nintendians demand though: "Quarters, a million allowances worth of quarters", LOL. Great nostalgia, nothing much in the laugh department though.
"Wizzin'": Easily my favourite here. I like Leela killing Amy after another wisecrack. Seems like it'll be a recurring thing, can't say I'm against that ;). Excellent Zoidy in this one too, great remarks: "Why did I have to take a cab?" and "I'm the other guy. Courage, not enough of it. Need some from, Whats-his-name". LOL Good story, and some very funny jokes. And Leela as a witch? Truely enchanting! Best story in AOI II.
Suming up: Great ideas, good starts, but not so good follow through. Good thing they saved the best story for last. I'd give it a 3.
Best Anthology of Interest story is still "What if Leela was more impulsive, just a little, not too much?"

A solid ep. I give it 5 stars mainly because I was feeling very deprived of new eps until this one aired. Otherwise, I probably would have given it a 4. The Bender as a human story didn't do much for me, but the video game world story was excellent! And as for the Wizard of Oz parody, let's just say I'm a sucker for the movie spoofs. :)

This Episode is very funny. One of the best episodes ever. Like the Simpsons, the Futurama episodes get better the longer they exist. I'm from germany and like the english spoken version more than the translated ones. John DiMaggio is my favourite speaker. Hope the petition has success.

I've finally had the chance to see it and it was good, but I didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as last weeks "Roswell that Ends Well". I found the three stories to be about equal in quality, none were bad and all had great moments but none of them gave me the feeling I had after watching the first two parts of "AOI 1".
Bender as a human started off great, the antenna joke was superb and so were his other initial responses to being a human. I felt let down after the first half, when it started to go all weird like a modern Simpsons episode. there was too much of Bender being massive, it would have been fine if there was only a few seconds of it but it just went stupid and the jokes became slap stick.
I really enjoyed Fry’s life as a video game; it brought back memories of my retro gaming years. Some really classic video games were used and it was decent enough. I just wish they had made it 3D, like the 3D Homer segment of "THoH VI". I would have liked to see some Sonic references too. Having said that it was pretty funny and entertaining and I enjoyed seeing Lrrr again. It's probably better than I made it out to be, it's just that I wanted it to do different things and had my own ideas. It had a lot more potential, especially given the fact that the Futurama team are capable of some glorious 3D effects.
The final part was in my opinion the best. As a child I always used to watch "The Wizard of Oz" and it helped me to enjoy this segment all the more. From the first moment, even the way Leela went into the dream from the What If machine banging her head was class. The visuals were beautiful, I love it when they're full of bright colors and detailed scenery. Seeing Amy get killed by Leela again was cool, a trend that’s forming amongst "AOI" episodes. I loved the way many secondary characters were used to portray Wizard of Oz characters. Using Mom as the witch was the obvious thing to do although I'm glad she got killed before we had to see too much of her. I loved the jokes and the way they made fun of the film, decent stuff but as a whole didn't end as cleverly as the first "AOI".
Overall after seeing it once I would say it's about average, some very good parts let down by some stupidity. I prefer the first "AOI" however I found all three parts of "AOI 2" were better than the final part of "AOI 1", which was nice. Maybe I'm being too harsh, after all, in many cases a Futurama episode can get much better after watching it again and again. Who knows, one day it might be my favorite. I would rate it a 3.5 but as I'm so generous I rounded it up.

Using Mom as the witch was the obvious thing to do although I'm glad she got killed before we had to see too much of her. I loved the jokes and the way they made fun of the film, decent stuff but as a whole didn't end as cleverly as the first "AOI".
Overall after seeing it once I would say it's about average, some very good parts let down by some stupidity. I prefer the first "AOI" however I found all three parts of "AOI 2" were better than the final part of "AOI 1", which was nice. Maybe I'm being too harsh, after all, in many cases a Futurama episode can get much better after watching it again and again. Who knows, one day it might be my favorite. I would rate it a 3.5 but as I'm so generous I rounded it up.

Gah.. I thought Roswell was bad, but this was even worse. AOI1 wasn't that great either, but at least the fing-longer joke at the end was funny. There was hardly anything to laugh about in this one.

I've watched this episode three times in two days, and it just gets better each time. Although the first part loses the plot once Bender's gone fat, this is a brilliant episode. The antenna joke, Fry and co. in the Pacman maze, Fry taking on the Space Invaders and Leela turning Fry, Bender and the Professer into frogs are all great moments, but the bit where Leela squishes Amy with the PE ship's steps is absolutely classic.

Another supoib installment to 'Futurama' history. The best story, as with 'Anothology of Interest 1', was the last one, this time told for Leela. Here Amy, Fry and Hermes were particularly funny in their 'Wizard of Oz' Roles.
The first story was probably the weakest, which says wonders for the other two, as it was hilarious!
Hermes actually had the most intriguing line, at th end - "There's always next year, Professor. There's always next year." I think I speak for all other Futurama fans in hoping that he's right and there will actually BE a next year...

Really loved this one.... the human bender was not too funny... the video game really had some great jokes in it... but the third part really was excellent!!!! The video game segment makes this episode. Mario, Donkey Kong (smashing the UN), Pacman, Asteroids, space invaders, Battlezone, missile command, moon patrol references and the appropriate sound effects made this episode superior. I had more laughs/smiles during these 10 minutes of TV than I do in 6 hours of sitcoms.

The first one was so-so, but I loved the other two. The second one was just full of jokes and showed more about Fry's character. The third was like the Simpsons when they did the fairy tales (hansel and gretel, etc) or the classic stories (The Odyssey, Hamlet, etc.) because it puts the same characters in similar roles in a different setting. The characters correspond well to the ones in the Wizard of Oz (except Leela at the later part of the segment). They should have left Amy in for a few more jokes before rubbing her out, but it was still a fun episode.

I'm not usually a fan of these 3-parters, but this one happened to have so many brilliant jokes in it that I found myself liking it overall. Even before the first story started though, I had to laugh at the Professor:
"Oh blithery poop! There he goes again! Well, let's give baby what he wants!"
The first story of Bender becoming human was true brilliance. The way that he so naively abused his human body was beautiful (no, really), and provided one of the best bits of physical comedy EVER when he kissed a woman on the dance floor with a mouthful of hotdogs! And "Woooo!" was a great gag. One of my favourite ever bits of Futurama.
The second part was an interesting one, creative and somewhat nerdy. There were probably a lot of references and jokes in there that were lost on me due to my knowledge of video games not really predating Sonic The Hedgehog. Nixon getting hammered by Donkey Kong though: fantastic!
The third part was the weakest, largely down to the way it had been edited so that everything goes by at breakneck speed. I would've liked to have seen the characters of Fry the Scarecrow and Bender the Tin Man built up more than they were. Yet, the Professor did a great job in rectifying matters with some classic lines. "Who needs courage when you have a gun?" So true!
For featuring some of the best jokes in Futurama yet, this episode simply has to get a 5.

The video game story made this one great. Reminded me of all those days playing the Atari 2600 back in elementary school during the 80's. Bender becoming a human was ok, but not as cool as him becoming 500 foot tall. The story with Leela was ok, but it's not the video game.

Wow. That was hilarious. The first skit was ok, but at some points it got confusing and boring. The second one was hilarious and my fave. The all your base are belong to us reference tells us somebody, who worked on futurama, liked vgs and heard about this. It got very funny when they met Colin Pac-man, when fry destroyed the space invaders ships, when the ambassador from Nintendu 64 came, and all that other stuff. Finally, The last skit was pretty bland and not too funny. Some parts were, but that was it. I didn't get anything else. I really liked the second skit which was what made this episode funny. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Great episode. I loved the video game scene. Reminded me of the great days of playing the Atari for hours and hours at a time. Wizard of Oz was another good. Cute Witch of the North, MLK Jr. Dr and stuff, very cool. The first one with Bender becoming human was bit too nasty for me. Ok, let me review these one by one. Ok, the first skit of this. Bender wonders what would happen if he were human. Interesting. His little 'antenna'. A bit gross, but funny. Interesting that the last line spoken in this skit is the same as the other one in the 1st anthology of interest! I guess it was ok, maybe a 4. Now, the second. This is where it all shines. Everything is hilarious! I'm mostly a gamer and this was as funny as heck! Dang, it was pretty good. Very good for gamers who like this show. it gets a solid 5! Now, my least favorite one. This was a little boring. Now, I didn't like this one very well because I just fell asleep in front of it. a little funny. I'd give it a 2. Now, this little thing shall get a 4.

Excellent episode, all the way down to the little details like D.U.I. Friday's. Fry's "I had another guy" reference was perfectly executed. People have been disliking Wizzin' more than the other two, but I don't agree with that. It's wonderful. "Who needs courage when you have a gun" and Zoidberg's "I'm the other one. Courage, not enough. Need some from What's-his-face" lines were brilliant. The thing that got me though, was right after Tin Man Bender burped, Fry caught on fire a little bit. That fit perfectly like when in the real Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch burned the scarecrow at that time. Those little details in the episode I love.

I thought this was better than the first anthologies of interest episode. All 3 stories had parts that should put you on the floor, 1. Bender throwing up 2. Nixon saying crack pipe and Mario saying Meatball 3. Zoidberg with a gun and hell, even the inbetweens were hilarious, like the Professor singling out Amy

This was a great episode! My favorite was leela's cause it's the wizard of Oz kind. I just laughed thorough the whole thing.
Bender's part was great till the part when he became fatter than a sumo wrestler. I was just grossed out.I think AOI1 for his part is better cause It was funnier alot funnier while this one it's just gross.
Fry's was hilarious!! Great how they had Zoedburg accidently eat Fry and Leela says, "He ate Fry!!!" and then Fry appears and says "its okay i had another guy."
It sounds almost like on South Park when Kenny gets killed and they say"O My God!!! They Killed Kenny!!!" Now that's funny. This one is alot better than the AOI1 cause the first one was just boredom.
But my favorite is Leela's part when they have it like the Wizard of Oz. They did an exelent job.
My favorite part was when leela turns into a witch and turns the proffeser,fry, and bender into frogs. Bender look cool as a frog.
Both of the AOI1 and 2 were okay cause they both had laughs.

This episode was pretty funny. I think it was better than the first AOI. My favorite part was Leela's story. The spoof on the Wizard of Oz was great. Fry's story was also really funny. Bender's story was good, too, but I was sad that he died.

I loved Bender going nuts: smoking, drinking, dancing with strippers, eating a hotdog, and then he making out with her WHILE eating the hot dog (!) So nasty...Hahaha. And you have to love "WOOO!"
And the Video Game one was brilliant stuff, as everyone else said.
I thought the third story was so-so, but it had it's moments. I adored Zoidberg ("I'm the other guy." Or "Why did I have to take a cab?!")

One of the best episodes....
first and second part reminded me why i love futurama sp much.

Even though that this Anthlogy of Interest set is good as a whole, it doesn't really top the first one in terms of storyline.
I hate to say this, but the first story about Bender becoming a human was horrible. The humor shown into this section wasn't Futurama-like, it was just puerile and childish. Save from a couple of parts (such as the professor bragging that he'll win the Nobel prize before Amy), this wasn't quite a strong showing. This episode seemed to have been written in the state of mind that fart jokes are good enough to make a episode on it's own, which isn't the case.
The second part about the video games definitely was a killer episode, though. This was one of my first exposures to Futurama and despite my total lack of knowledge about the show back then, I loved this part anyway. I love all the subtle and discreet references to video games: Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Missile Command, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Q-Bert and others... Great nostalgic value in this one indeed, ahhhh. It contained many funny moments as well, such as Zoidberg becoming Pac-Man for a while, thus eating everything/everyone and for some reason, the part where Fry has been defeated at Space Invaders and where he just write his high score initials whilst chuckling. That's most likely the high point of this Anthology of Interest episode.
The third part also offered quite an interesting showing, although I didn't liked it at first. However, one has to say that it's a great Wizard of Oz parody filled with the usual Futurama fun twists. Poor Fry who's being told by everyone that he needs a brain, heheheh. Other noteworthy moments in that part included Leela using the Planet Express ship's stairway to crush the Amy fairy, the gang stupidly jumping joyfully on the yellow brick road and them complaining that it's tiring and the gang being kidnapped, yet Zoidberg takes a cab to catch with everyone. The ending was funny, as well. It's quite rare that Leela manages to be that sneaky, so it's a plus. :)
If the first episode wasn't included in that AOI showcase, this would have been easily a excellent episode, but the first part just ruins the perfection that this episode could have had. It's still a pretty good episode, nonetheless.

I, Meatbag earns a 2.5 from me. It just disturbed me somehow, especially the grilled cheese line. Just...ick.
Raiders Of The Lost Arcade earns a 5. Filled with video game references...me like, me like.

Anyways what made Anthology of Interest 2 so good was to see how it was like when Bender was human.
Bender is a party animal that most of the time eats nachos and dances at partys.

Despite Cellery's review, I think Bender as a human is super hilarious, lol! Come to think of it, I have seen most of my video game characters like Mario, Donkey Kong, Pac-man. But tell me something, when that machine decided who was next, it said Amy, but it changed to Leela. Humph! I said it once and I am gonna say it again, Amy is better. Amy is superior, Amy is INDESTRUCTABLE, mwhahahah! I can't stand Leela and Fry. As for Amy kissing Bender as a human, freaking sweet. In Leela's "What if" question, Amy as the "Cute witch of the north" Hahaha you crack me up. I've had it when Leela is always throwing Amy off. To me, that is an insult. But hey, it was a great chock full of laughs. lol!

After watching AOI1 so many times, it was hard to believe this was it's sequel. In the first AOI episode, there was at least 3 minutes of material in Planet Express between the use of the What If? machine. In this there was 10 seconds at the start of the Professor hitting it with a hammer and away we go into the three tales...and only about 20 seconds at the end AFTER the tales. I personally enjoyed the third story. The first and second were meh-ish compared to the first episode.

Wonderful. Great stories. The best story probably was the one about Leela. Great episode. Lots of good gags and punchlines. I love the videogame world, and the wizard of oz takeoff. Bender was pretty funny as a human. But I was a little dissapointed with the first tale of interest.

I loved the scene with Bender drinking/eating/smoking/dancing, and for all those who wanted to know the song in the backroud is called Congo by The Miami sound Machine. The videogame refrences in Raiders of the Lost Arcade were amazing. The only one that sucked was the Wizard of Oz was. Ahwell 2/3 isn't to bad

excellent episode, some classic moments, although i must admit, the masturbation reference (when bender was talking about his antenna)was a bit sick, but who am i to complain when i do it 6 times a day, oh i shouldn't of said that.
second story was great, my best bit was when leels stated 'invaders, possibly from space!'
i also liked the third story, especially the part with hermes. i also laughed out loud at the following quotes.
MOM: you wanna get adopted ya little skank!
AMY: nice boots, do they come in womens sizes?
(leela crushes her with the ship)
DR. ZOIDBERG: sorry, i think there's something wrong with your upstairs toilet!
FARNSWORTH: who needs courage when you have... a gun!
MCSLURMS: we are the creatures from lollipop lane, lollipop lane!
(nibbler eats him and the music slows down)
FRY: nevermind professor, she came to!
(farnsworth walks in with a box saying 'leela's organs)
FARNSWORTH: oh, so close!
HERMES: there's always next year professor, there's always next year!

In my opinion, it's even funnier than the first one, and that episode is among Futurama's funniest. This may be down to my love of video games making me somewhat biased, but either way, this is a great full-on comedy episode.

This was a really good episode. Once again, the Bender segment was a bit weak, but the other two were hilarious. Raiders of the Lost Ark was perhaps David X. Cohen's funniest episode ever. Wizzin' was even funnier, making it the best Anthology bit so far. Overall, great. I've got zero complaints.
