Eh. Usually the serious ones are the better episodes, but this one just left me a little unaffected.

I thought this was a fantastic episode, easily the best of the season in my opinion. I couldn't stop laughing during the HoloShed scenes, and it did a great job adding another layer to Amy and Kif's characters. Every character had good dialogue. Excellent all around.

Mmh, i don't think this episode was all that good. There were lots of great individual jokes like the angry-dome or Prof. Moriarty. Zapp and Bender were also great.
But the main plot seemed a bit strange to me. Im not a fan of all this Kif<->Amy Fry<->Leela stuff but i think Leela should have been let out of Kif & Amy.
Well, after all its Futurama which glorious days are obviously over but who knows? Maybe the final episodes are better...

Funny--if somewhat predictable...and crawling with missed opportunities. For example:

--I'd love to know how Amy got to Kif's planet; did she stow away again? Did she even get chewed out for the first offense?
--The birthing sequence could have been better developed...grosser, weirder, less nonsensical (why so far away from the water if only outsiders bother to help them survive?).
--A Futurama first--a moment of bonding between Amy and Leela? Oh, never mind.

Still, very, very funny. Favorite bits:
--Farnsworth's invention and what it does to everyone...especially poor Leela;
--Mystery solved! So THAT's where Zoidberg lives!
--Zapp and Kif are funnier than usual
--Glad to see the "Star Trek" gags didn't end with "Where No Fan Has Gone Before." Hi, Dr. McCoy!! Aaaah, the weekly Holo-Shed malfunction...

Good, but like many season four eps, it needed one more draft on the script to be PERFECT.

A good episode which had me smiling throughout and laughing out loud a few times. Overall, I found the parental gender-reversal to be funny, and I liked seeing Kif and Amy get centerstage for a change.
Some moments were very inspired. The Holo Shed (especially EVIL LINCOLN), pretty much everything Zoidberg did, and Bender's explosion of rage when Kif said he was pregnant ("Let me at him! LET ME AT HIM!!") Bender was funny all through the episode since he really had nothing to do, but kept interjecting himself into the scene anyway.
An enjoyable episode all together!

OMG! The holo-shed bit was to die for! I've always hated the Kif / Amy thing, but I loved this episode. If anyone needs me, I'll b in the angry-dome! Ha! What made that joke work was that we later saw him making angry noises in the dome. Ha!

The shocking part for me was the Zapp went along and even helped a little. He was with Fry and bender on Kif's home world, cutting a part to the birthing pound. That most Iv' ever seen Zapp help out.

Amy getting Kif ready to take DND, but Leela being the mother. That I thought was an un-need plot twist.

Amy not being ready for motherhood, showing the fear of being tie down to a child. That sent a massage to the kids. I sure. (right.)

That was the high points for me. The little side jokes were good and well timed, as alway, but why was Bender in the locker in that one seen?

Pretty good. For a while I thought Amy wasn't coming back and I felt really bad for Kif. I was thinking Amy was acting kind of mean and too partyish, but that is HEr personality anyway. And that doesn't matter since she si still pretty even if she is a &^%$#.

A semi-funny episode that had a purpose (unlike some earlier ones in the season that were only semi-funny and did not really have a purpose). The Holo Deck was very funny as was the Angry Dome. Scruffy seems to be getting more airtime (I wonder if we'll ever see a Scruffy-centered episode).

A really funny episode. Only slightly worse than Jurassic Bark.
This one was a lot of more funny, but not that emotional... well, I think that depends on if you like episodes without happy ends. Still, KGKUAN (nice, isn't it? ;-) is one of the best episodes yet aired.

Best jokes: Zoidberg crying like a baby, the Angry Dome, the various Star Trek jokes, and the one-eyed larvae.

Overall: I want to see more episodes like this one.

I like the serious ones too, but this one just didnt do it for me. I'm a really big Amy fan, and its good to see a lot of her. I'm a fan of Kif, but in small amounts. Not enough Fry in this one kind of left me feeling empty at the end. It wasnt as enjoyable as others in the series.

Another great, hilarious episode for Season 5, which is shaping up quite nicely. The Holo-Shed was just a riot, especially after the whole incident took place and Zack deciding to go relax in the holo-shed anyway.

A very average episode. Something seems to be missing, cause I watch old episodes, and laugh much more than in this 5th season. It is very hard to explain what is wrong, but maybe it won't be that bad, if Futurama ends after 5th season. I am a huge fan of Futurama, but I don't want it to turn to what Simsons are now.

Bender talking bout the giant frog - best part of the entire ep!

the angry dome, zoidberg and benders "what are you looking" at where the highlights

the leela dna twist was not neccesary and gave me an uneasy feeling

zap was weak compared to his other appeareces

as an emotional ep it was pretty weak, luck of the fryish and jurasic bark where a lot better in that regard

the whole story felt clumsy, with leela's dna, and the "in 20 years ending" maybe even worse than "thats lobstertainment" at least the story of that felt coherent

This was a great episode. The DNA seperator was priceless. I found that Zapp was hillarious in this episode. His "Smells like a Jock Strap" line was brilliant. My favorite part of the episode would have to be the Poisonous Froad on Kif's planet. Why is it that the people in the future wo are pregnant are guys? (the first time this happened was to Zapp in Futurama comic #4: DOOP the right thing). All in all, though this was a funny episode.

Hmm...this certainly wasn't the best episode of Futurama. True, some of the jokes were funny...[like the DNA separator...] I wasn't that surprised when Leela turned out to be the "mother" of Kif's children [or whatever you call 'em]...the plot was a bit boring but there were some funny bits

It was sad and a very "Amy" kinda move when Amy did leave Kif so she could continue to live her party life . . .

It was kinda cool/funny when they showed the one-eyed tadpole...

Farnsworth: "Even I laughed when I came up with this invention. But I guess I showed myself there!".

The best thing I could quote in the whole episode. Made me laugh to miss the following 2 minutes not being able to hear a thing due to my own loud laughing. Anyway, Bender's cool as usual and the story's average good. Good dialogue though. It made me feel whole.

Surely noone can think this episode was boring.

* Zapp, So well timed. Funny as hell

*Zoidberg, Truly amazing. He has 3 lines and 2 of them was maybe the funniest and most well timed!

Kif, Boring. Whats up with a kif episode?. He is supposed to be the lovable and smart sidekick. And when he is, Bamm!

Bender, Let me at him. Don't know if i have to say anymore.....

I just watched this show twice in less than three hours and both times the episode held up pretty good. Bender was absolutely excellent at the end. I loved his, "Hey baby, I'm back" and his "What are you looking at" quotes. Zoidberg was okay but his crying like a baby was--annoying to say the least. Zapp was okay and the other supporting cast was good.

I think it touches greatly upon the effects of early parenthood. I mean it was rushed but you could tell that Amy wasn't ready for anything like this whatsoever. And as it progressed, she was more and more scared about losing her freedom.

Her parents were great too.

Funniest bit though was the alien DNA seperator thingie and when Zapp was tossed out. "Thank you oh merciful God." Great quote right there!

Again, Kif holds down the episode because his character isn't very good. The centrifuge and zapp's lines would have bumped this to a 4, but Amy's return at the end was too hokey for the show, they should have had her doing something else (like cryng?) instead. The one-eyed kifling was cute though.

This episode was a big disappointment for me, and that's why I've taken so long to bother reviewing it. After hearing the description, it had so much potential, but the way it was done just didn't really do it for me. It was like one main plot, nothing much else, and all the jokes were basically just short quick one liners from other characters, and nothing else. And when Amy flew the Planet express ship into the Nimbus, and after the whole Holo-Dome experience, why was Fry and Leela just talking to Zapp, when Leela hates Zapp, and why were they just standing around when they had a delivary to make? Surely they should have been looking for Amy. And I wasn't keen on the Holo-Dome, it was boring. But the Angry Dome, that was class! And Kifs Homeworld, although good, there just wasn't enough of it. It might have got Kifs juices going, but it didn't get mine. Also when Kif was told he was pregnant, was it just me, or did his facial expression freak anyboby else out? That's gonna give me nightmares! He just can't do that, surely? And Zapps voice seemed a bit off, and also the whole episodes felt like it was ridding the edge of an egg shell. There were some good parts, like both of Dr Zoidbergs parts, and even though the crying was a bit out of character, it was hillarious! But out of all the Season 4 production episodes that have curently aired, in my opinion, this is the worst. And also, 'Where Buggalo Roam' was definalely better IMO.

This one sucked. The season 5 episodes are making this become the Simpsons. Crappier and crappier as they go along. Looking back at the older episodes I laugh at each and every one!! But now, in the present, these season 5 episodes are crappy and boring. Only exception: "Jurrasic Bark" These are NOT setting a good example toward FOX for not cancelling the show. Though it was only a year or so ago, it seems a long time since the brilliance of 'Godfellas', or Morbo's "Belligerent and numerous" lines, or the hypnotoad, or coherent, well-realised plots. I realise all i do since series 5 is complain, but i love this show, and these episodes are weak. I'm sorry, i really am, but the magic has gone. Showing these episodes was a mistake, and our efforts to defend them are getting more and more transparently the efforts of a close fanbase community trying to defend the object of their affection, though in their hearts they know the game is up. I'm going to go cry into my Slurm. At least it's still highly addictive.

It surprises me that this episode recieved mixed reviews, because it's actually very, very good! The story was great, not as complicated as some episodes (there isn't a subplot) but it flowed along at a comfortable pace (it actually feels quite alot like a season 1 or 2 episode). All the characters were on top form, especially Zapp and Benders one-liners.
"Hey what is this big ugly thing? A Frog? A Toad! OR YOUR MAMA!"
The angry dome is a brilliant joke, and Leela's line to Amy "Sorry I got your boyfriend pregnant". The only week point of this episode is the Holo-Shed sequence which went on far too long!

This will be probably the worst episode of season 5. First, main characters werent just in background, they were coulisses. Second, plot was unusually weak and stupid Star Trek jokes didnt helped (yes I agree that there were some good jokes but only one or two). Holoshed scene was boring as well as birth rite. Third, I had feelings that this episode itself doesnt know which is supposed to - it wasnt classic serious story, but not purly comedy either. And finally, there wasnt practically nothing suprising ( I mean mainly Amys escape- Amys return line )and that with 20 years in the end was big fraud on spectators.

hmmm, i'd say bout 3.5 - just i didnt like the storyline but there were laughs which brought it up. ie. Ziodberg living in the machine, Zapp going back to the hologram machine straight after it malfunctioned. etc.

Going to go with 4 cause laughs were good.

This episode was not that bad. I dont really like kiff, hes so weak and pathetic, annoys me. There were some funny parts though such as

- the start when they are on the phone and Zap or Zaff (whatever) walking out in the nude while they are on the phone.
-kiffs face when he was told that he is pregnant is freaky to say the least
-the professor was funny " i guess i showed myself" as was Zoidberg

i give it 3 because the end sucked and thats the bit i most remeber.

That's probably rating it too high, but to my surprise I liked this one better after seeing it again. It had some cute lines and I sort of like Kiff. I like that he's nice, but often made sarcastic by demeaning work conditions.

Mostly though I think the old woman is why I ranked it higher. She just cracked me up this time.

"Oh the shame, oh the humiliation. I'm sorry that's probably just making it worse."

"I take my leave. As I live here I'm not actually going anywhere, but you don't have to talk to me anymore." Then she stays in the exact same spot, but doesn't say anything.

i dont understand the harsh criticism. yes kifs character is different because he's in a diffrent situation.

kif clings to leela because she's polite towards him.

I have to rate it a 5 because of the sheer, gutsy gross-out factor they went for, and Achieved. Yet, in the end it was all about romance. Don't get me wrong tho, Kif giving birth was tough to take. A for effort.

Are you kidding? How do the collected reviews for this average out to only 69%? This is easily one of the best Futuramas (in my humble opinion). It's fast-paced and filled with perverted, subversive wackiness. The bit where everyone makes a hasty retreat from the mayor's office and Fry says, "and I don't want to live anymore!" and jumps out of the window, jumping back in a second later in his hero getup, is solid gold. Not to mention: "Thank you , mysterious heros-- the value of the gemerald you saved is slightly greater than the cost of the damage you caused to this mueseum. A net gain for our great city!"

I can't give any episode anything less than Average because Futurama is by far the most clever show on television, however, I just can't help but think this was an episode written when the writers were given notice that their show was being cancelled. It's as if there was only enough desire to throw just a few jokes in to make this episode air, not fair to the animators!

It's ok. For me it was a 2.5, but I rounded it up to a 3. Zoidberg and Bender had all the best lines, especially Bender getting upset about not understand biological creatures. Brannigan also had great lines and the holo-shed's characters coming to life was a funny take on Star Trek:TNG. As someone else has mentioned, Kiff isn't funny anymore since he became Amy's boyfriend. He was funnier as just Brannigan's first mate. In the end, just a weak episode.

The episode as a whole was good, but what really put it over the top was the first scene. The scene with Professor Farnsworth yelling at Amy for no reason whatsoever and then saying "if anyone needs me, I'll be in the angry dome!" was probably the best scene ever on Futurama. The fact that they showed the angry dome was just the icing on the cake. "We could but we won't!" Classic.

Hmm. It's good to see the Amy/Kif storyline advanced to conclusion (I like closure- damn you Fry and Leela!), and the first half of the episode (especially the action aboard the Nimbus) is full of great gags and Star trek pisstakes.

However, the second half of the episode is slightly to serious for its own good...and the gags start drying up too. Then again, it does feature one of the top Bender moments...

Bender gets spat out of the giant frog, he lands on his feet and the (still lit) cigar spins into his mouth. He takes a puff and utters:

"I'm back, baby."

Worth the price of admission.

Although there is a rather disgusting birth proccess for Amphibios 9 natives, this episode touched me. It explained the sometimes unreadiness of a parent when they're about to give birth. Mrs. Wong...er, I mean Grandma is right. You do surf under a wave of responsibility in parenthood. Heck, my parents do everything with us and for us. This episode was also hilarious and I'll never forget the frog gag and when Zoidberg started bawling like an infant. All in all, I thought this episode was one of the best I've ever seen. very good,a truly magical ending.i think the best part was the birthing ceremony.the holoshed was great! another one of those"i wish this was real"ideas.however, you would of thought that kif's homeworld would look more ancient, like the native martians home, with the temples and everything.since when was kif been an amphibian?the only put-off was amy's parents.i hate them ungrateful swines.they never seem happy for amy,and it might be a bit harsh but i really hope something tragic happens to them during the 20 years amy and kif have to wait before their siblings become children.but i liked the "leela's homeworld"type ending, with the magical music.it was really great, and although i prefer the "where the buggalo roam"episode, this is another great story.

Normally I don't like the whole Amy/Kif thing or the Amy/Kif/Leela thing but for once I did.
In this episode it seemed as though Zapp was actually helping for once which is something that slacker never does. The Holo Shed was actually a pretty cool thing. The whole evil Lincoln thing and the moon that you grab was probably the most weirdest from the Holo Shed. Leela being the mother insted of Amy was actually kind of a shocking twist. This is a retraction on my previous review. This is actually a really touching and moving episode, with plenty of good jokes. I realized how good this was after I bought the Volume 4 DVD. I had skipped over this episode, because I remembered not liking it. But then, I was watching Less Than Hero (which I gave a 4.5) and I realized that I liked this episode much more. This episode is great.

Geez, I wonder why everyone hates this episode. I thought it was pretty good. It had some great moments, the ending was touching, and it had some hilarious jokes (is it a toad, a frog, or your momma, lol). However, it wasn't "perfect" as there were some issues. I thought that the idea of males having children was disturbing, and by the middle of the episode, the episode started getting boring. Still a great episode of Futurama.
