It was funny, but I didn't like that the plot was so disconnected. Zoidberg buying rings, the whale puking (even though disgusting), bender buying a robbery kit, and Fry drinking all that coffee were the funniest parts.

A really good episode. Its good to see a really good, non-serious episode every now and then. My favorite part is a tie between the whales constant puking, and when fry finishes his 100th cup. Hehehe.

I loved this episode; was full of hilarious quotes kept pace very well. I liked seeing so many storylines meshed in like that, such as Dwight and Hermes randomly popping up. Also The 100th cup of coffee scene was just amazing! It's now my favorite scene ever for sheer coolness.

That was great. I loved the coffee counter. This episode reminded me of the Simpsons episode that spoofed Pulp Fiction. I was laughing through this entire episode, and I can't wait to see it again. THE END ROCKS! As someone who intakes way too much caffeine anyway, I very much enjoyed it. Great episode.

Eh. I really did not like this episode. It had so many seperate subplots, there was no "main story" to drive the episode. It felt like I was watching a collection of random jokes than a complete episode.

Bender's story was amusing.
Fry's story had a big payoff, and I loved the way he reached a higher state of conciousness.
Leela's story was saved by the whale-hating marine biologist.
Hermes and Dwight's involvement in the episode wasn't really funny at all.
Prof. Farnsworth's story made no sense. First of all, we've seen Farnsworth grow young previously. Secondly, he HATED being young. I don't see why he'd go out and spend 300 bucks all over again.
Zoidberg's story was touching, but there was nothing good in it involving humor.
Kif and Amy's subplot was plain boring.

And what was with all the talking inanimate object jokes? The tatoos, the bills. I felt like I was watching a Harry Potter cartoon.

This episode has to be the worst one I've seen. There was OOCness, and the jokes were mostly lame. It felt like this episode was pieced together using "spare ideas" that the writers had. The jokes fell flat, and there was no story to back it up. At least with previously unfunny episodes (A Pharaoh to Remember, the only other Futurama episode I dislike), you had some focus on Bender's insecurities to drive the story along.

I'm going to have to give this one a "Horrible".

The whale-hating marine biologist was genius, but it wasn't held up by any other good gags, or a good story.

Quite a humorous episode. I don't understand the reasoning of some posters here, though; one week they're angry that an episode is too serious and not "funny" enough, and when that funny episode does arrive, they aren't happy.

Random scenes that made me laugh, not in any order:

-"The loot, the loot is on fire!"
(I'm a fan of the Bloodhound Gang.)
-Amy's butt tattoos
-Voodoo economists
-"Guadalajara (sp?) Brown Drip"
(Think about it.)

Overall, I enjoyed it. Nice to see Farnsworth get a love interest of his own.

This episode does a very good job of having multiple storylines going back and forth. Even though Bender's, and Hermes' stories weren't as strong as the others, Fry's coffee addiction, and Zoidberg's being himself definately fixed any problems with that! I also must compliment the beautiful animation when the video surveilance camera line was being followed to the police station. Awesome. Another job well done.

I liked it. Like others have said, it didn't have one solid plot, but it's nice to have a random episode once in a while. Each series has it's highs as well as it's lows. I, however, thought it was a funny episode. Bender trying to get that cigar, then blowing smoke into everyones faces. Then Fry reaching that ultimate high with his 100th cup of coffee and saving everyone. lol Overall, I enjoyed it!

Anything with Kif in the episode a lot seems to make for a poor show. Kif is great in small amounts a la "Loves Labors...".

Fry is awesome, I thought the ending was great. I was a little upset though that we didnt get to see Fry after he saved the people. I thought there would be closure for him.

Generally, there were some funny parts, but this episode is just average, especially compared to the last 4 awesome ones we had on FOX, it just ended and I felt a bit unsatisfied.

It was better than Parabox... I had more laughs anyway. This was an episode with the entire plot based on the comedy-aspect, just like the earlier episodes. The plot didn't make much sense but that wasn't necesarry in this case because it didn't want to deliver a message or a statement, so it all worked just fine.

I especially liked Zapp's antics on the news-broadcast. The bullet-time effect after Fry's 100th cup of coffee was awesome, really devine music-choice there. And much more good stuff I'm forgetting to mention here...

Gotta love the ol' show!

Sorry, I didn't like this episode.
Seemed to be building too many stories at once, got kinda hard to keep track of what character was doing what with which.
It might have been better off if each of those stories had their own episodes to focus on. But what can you do?

The inter-connection of the plots reminded me of the Simpsons' episode "22 Short Films About Springfield".

Overall, there was the sense that it was all coming up just a little bit short, as if everything was a bit incomplete. And this feeling kicked right in with the opening - I expected some sort of punchline headline to follow up "Voted The Best"... the best what?

And that sense of incompletion ran right to the very end in that we never did get Bender's sense of closure for Fry. What happened to that orange blur of a guy anyway?

Maybe it's because he died this week, but I couldn't help but think of David Brinkley's sour puss when watching Morbo having his tie fussed over by Mrs. Morbo.

It was nice to see Mom's 3 stoog- er, sons, and the kids from the Orphanarium again.

Great moments of animation that stood out included the shot of the whale biologist with the audience background - very detached, very cool.

I liked the talking tattoo, but will we ever see that again if Amy goes sleeveless?

Zoidberg's story was most affecting and the most human. I also got the sense of "been there done that" with the Professor going young after being so happy to be even older just a few episodes ago.

And finally, what WAS that being chased in the video line conduit?

Good one. I liked it more than the Sting. It had some little bits thrown in for the precious shippers, but it stuck more to humor. Good. Hopefully more episodes can do so... other than the final episode they look like they're aimed more at humor then romance from here on in, but most are also highly Bender heavy ones, so thats up in the air.

A lot of good jokes, normally enough to warrant a five. Unfortunately, the episode tried to do too much. For example, the Conrad family was nice to see, but didn't add anything to the episode. The totally pointless nudity was a nice touch.

Maybe I'm being overly generous here, but I really enjoyed this one. It was more freeform than any other episode of Futurama and it was nice to really see the writers just take the characters and run with them. The only part I didn't really care for was the overly sappy ending, but Fry's coffee-aided enlightenment made up for it.

You know, Season 5 has played with my mind. The fact that Fox waits too long between playing new episodes (this week being a fluke) makes my anticipation towards an episode grow, but when the episode actually plays I'm usually disappointed. I'll have to watch Season 5 again in syndication and re-evaluate my opinions about these episodes.

As for this particular episode, the premise of the plot (president giving out $300) would have been funnier if, oh say, IT WAS AIRED A YEAR OR SO AGO. Ehh, blame fox. As for the rest of the episode, it seemed a little forced and my mind wandered at times.

I seem to be the minority these days, but incredible amounts of puke are NOT funny.

Excuse me while I go watch Why of Fry again.

I saw what they were trying to do, to have everyone in the world get $300 and go nuts with it and exploding at Zap's party. It just didn't work. Too many sotires. You needed to Have maybe two characters have main plots and knock the rest down to one liners.

This was a great episode! I loved the way there were a lot of little plots going on and they intertwined. Of course, when you have a lot of little plots and no big one, some are sure to be duds. My rundown of the plots:

Leela: kinda boring. She didnt really do much. Bender: not that great, but Im glad he got closure at the end. Amy and Kif: not that interesting (although Kif was actually tolerable when he was in jail). Hermes and Dwight: it was okay. I forgot about this plot until the very end when they showed up at the banquet. Scruffy: his hair looked good, but it was pointless. Farnsworth: there were some great Farnsworth moments in this episode. I liked when he got wrinkly and his girlfriend got fat. And then a couple minutes later she was topless. Eww! Zoidberg: this plot seemed to go nowhere the first two acts, but it was great at the end with the hobos. It was touching and gave the episode (and plots) closure. Fry: the actual coffee drinking and pop-up bullets weren't very funny, but they led to the best part of the episode, which brings me to:

The best part of the episode: when Fry drank the 100th cup of coffee. I almost died laughing when he was orderly again and glowed and that choir/holy music started playing. Actually, that was the only part of the whole episode I laughed out loud at.

I also liked all the minor characters that popped up (Nixon, Morbo, Zapp, Kif, Mom and her sons, the two cops, Elzar, etc.). I'm glad they're showing a lot of minor characters again before the show ends.

Overall, this episode was offbeat and different. Some of the plots weren't great, but the characters and interactions made up for it. I may have only laughed once, but I was consistently entertained. This is a wonderful episode and deserves a 5.

It was OK, but too many plots in this one. 4-5 stories, and no single one really had the time to get fully developed. The plot lines had a lot of potential, but I think they all got shortchanged.
Multi-plot episodes can work, as in the Simpsons episodes Trilogy of Error (Run Lola Run parody) or 22 short stories of Springfield. Usually they all come together and complement each other, and the viewer goes A-ha! but that wasn't the case tonight...Oh well! Counting down the last episodes with the rest of ya

I agree with everyone else who said that Fry's "coffee-time" moment was one of the coolest things ever. But the rest of the episode seemed rather weak. Another person has compared it to "22 Short Films about Sprinfield". The comparison makes sense, but it just wasn't as funny and clever as "22". I suppose, however after 4 stellar episodes in a row, they were bound to have a less than great one show up. I'm glad they were able to ignore the whole "Leela-Fry" getting together thing for an episode. Overall; there were things I hated (The whale) and things I liked (the whale biologist) and it averaged things out to a 3.

Wonderful. Every series has to have a "gross-out" episode these days, and while "Futurama" has always had its share of yucky-yuks, this one hits its stride with a puking whale and then gets even more awful. Ewwwwwww. (When the fire broke out, I honestly thought Fry's overwhelmed bladder would wind up saving the day.)

An insane, unpredictable script that was all over the place, yet came together beautifully in the end; almost every major and minor character got some choice material. No drama at all, but great goofy fun.

Hmm, it hat alot of potential given the freerole story of the $300 dollar situation, actually the concept reminds a bit of the Anthology of Interest ideology I think.

No point in posting more summary of the episode since others have already done so...But here's my reason for given it a clean 3:
From the very start when I saw the aracnoid battle --> $300 free dollar bill, I expected a superb storyline...But I must say I became somewhat disappointed, due to the fact that most of the seperate "stories" seemed blurred and awfully incohesive, oh well..
That being said, the ending with Fry on his coffee-trip "saved" it all, damn that was awesome ;)

Hence, without the Fry ending, I would have rated the episode an abysmal 1, but due to the excellent buildup of Fry's insane coffee consumption --> ending scene, it deserves a 3.

A decent episode..

This was a brilliant episode. Makes a nice change from the last few which have overdone it on the confusing way that space-time works etc. Zoidberg, classic as always, but full marks to Fry with his coffee.

Good episode with a lot of funny moments. It felt almost like an Anthology Of Interest in that none of the stories were really connected but they were tied together. I felt so bad for poor Kif, but was happy to see how it all came out (literally and figuratively). Zoidberg was great as usual, and poor Fry's descent into caffience-induced madness was a riot -- and his turn to Neo-esque godhood was even funnier. Not the best episode but another quality one.

Ouch! Two minutes into the episode, I expected it to be among the best of the season. About half-way through, I was in for disappointment. The episode felt overall weak. I know that it was supposed to be disjointed, but for some reason it didn't work well here. What frustarates me is, this episode had so much potential, but it was thrown away. The funniest thing in the whole episode was Fry's 100-cups-of-coffee streak. But we hardly saw any of it! Instead, in my opinion, there was way too much emphasis on Amy and Kif. I wish that there was less time with Amy and Kif (I'm not a big fan of their realationship), and more time spent on Fry. If that were the case, this episode would've earned a well-deserved 5/5. But unfortunately, it didn't happen.

This episode was pretty damn good. Not as good as Parabox (5x10) on a whole, but it had its moments.

I give it a 5 because it threw in all of the cast... no one was really left out, and also because of Fry and his 100th cup of coffee. That scene made me almost cry from laughing so much.

It was pretty good. Fry's addiction to coffee was funny, and Zoidberg was so pathetic near the end (which is why ya gotta love the guy!) I didn't care much for Leela, Amy or Hermes's stories, though Bender's was pretty hilarious, as usual. Extra points for the wacky ending.

Bender's "Closure" aside, the episode really had no closure. What happened with Fry after he saves the day? Nothing! bubkiss!

The entire episode was nothing but disjointed subplots hacked together... the only connection b/w story lines was leela's swimming with the whale and kif/amy's watch issue... which was STUPID.

For a much better example of tying together small story lines, see the Simpsons, 22 short stories... that's some good segues.

Worst. Episode. Ever.

As someone who considers himself a serious Futurama fan, I have to be honest and say that this episode was a low point for this season. When Futurama is unfunny, it's often painfully so. "Fear of a Bot Planet" is a case in point, as well as the Iron Chef episode and Zoidberg's Hollywood misadventure.

None of the storylines were particularly compelling and very few of the gags worked. Fry's coffee binge and the 100th cup was probably the best storyline, and it was nice to see Zoidberg's character develop a smidge past the "broke loser" schtick.

If the past two episodes hadn't been so bold and satisfying, this wouldn't have been such a let down. They phoned this one in and it showed. Here's hoping this is filler killing time before a stream of steller series finals.

I almost gave it a 3, but Morbo's brief appearance, and the great climax were just enough to put it over the top.

Really, how can you people like this more than That's Lobstertainment! or A Pharao to Remember? It really WAS crap! Disjointed plots that didnt even get interesting till act 2 was almost over, pointless unfunny guest appearance by Roseanne, lots of gross and NOT funny humor like whale barf and Kif covered with it, bad characterizations up the wazoo, and the dumb, totally out of place ending which seemed just for the sake of parody, like so many Simpsons climaxes in the last few years! (The Island, anyone?). To add, many jokes fell flat and were lame as hell. Come on, this was even worse than most recent Simpsons episodes

It was a good episode, not great. I liked the Fry and Zoidberg subplots a lot, but the Hermes and Farnsworth were so-so. The Leela and Amy plots were kind of like, let's hust do something with them, since I don't know why Leela would waste money on swimming with a whale. The end was great, with Fly becoming the flash and saving everyone, but what happened to him after he put out the fire? He saves everyone, and again, there's no acknowledgement?! That and the very ending with Rossanne just seemed kind of dumb. I'd give this episode a C+ or B- at best, even though it's still funnier than 90% of the "comedies" on tv today,

There were parts of this story I liked, but as an episode, I didn't think much of it. Lately, the Kif and Amy stuff has been really lame, and this episode was no exception. The funniest parts of this one were Fry's coffee adventure and Bender's cigar thievery. I loved when they came together in the middle. "Puff puff go go go go go go!"

I never liked Dwight as a character. Hermes is not father material. Hell, he's barely husband material, but most LaBarbara scenes get by okay. Anyway, the bamboo stilt scenes grated on me really badly.

It made me wince in some parts, made me laugh in others. It was average, I'll give it a 3.

This was a great episode, plenty of laughs, you can never explore Zoidbergs poverty in enough dept in my opinion. I'm just too tempted to give this episode 5 stars... and maybe if I was in a different mood I would. But, it just took me two hours to commute home from work and i'm feeling slightly disgruntled. An enjoyable episode, though a notch below 'The Sting' and 'Parabox'.

Favorite moments: Scruffy's new haircut, the whale-biologist, Fry's binge coffee-drinking.

The scene at the end after Fry's 100th cup was a truly inspired Futurama moment. The animation was beautiful and it was joy to watch. Just wish Fry got some credit for his heroics.

DISLIKES:

The Amy-Kif segments were tedious and devoid of humor. This just reinforces my opinion that Kif is only funny during his interaction with Zap Brannigan. If you think about it, the Kif/Amy-centric episodes are pretty dull.

I have a love-hate relationship with Zoidberg. In this episode, he was pretty annoying and I didn't find him all that funny. Zoidberg is defintely better in small doses. The rare exception was the episode where he returned to his homeworld. Of course, he was at his finest in 'Roswell Ends Well'. That was classic Zoidberg!

Overall, a good episode with some decent laughs. Fry's 'coffee scene' saves it from mediocrity.

While I really enjoyed "Sting" and "Paradox" (especially the former), it's episodes like this that make it seem like good and logical sense that FOX is cancelling Futurama. In many ways it reminded me of current Simpsons episodes--no direction, no plot, childish humour (e.g. the whale vomitting over and over), and humour lacking one-liner jokes sprinkled here and there.

Episodes like this also seem to forget this is a sci-fi series about the future. The premise for 300 Big Boys could have easily been played out as a current Simpsons episode with little tweaking, no?

I could go into details, but there's no need. It was just a disappointing episode overall. The only positive thing is it makes me think, "if this is what we're going to be missing with Futurama's cancellation, then maybe it TV-death is a good thing...".

Talk about a sucky episode. I guess the last 2 were so classic that it was hard to keep the pace. Fry saving the day was cool, except there was no follow-up; he didn't meet the others outside... What was he doing w/ his super speed? The giant shoes were so lame. Whale Biologist was cool. Everything else that didn't suck was forgetable. It reminded me a lot of the first two seasons. IMO, all the politically-charged episodes sacrifice humor for message. This one wasn't too political; it just sucked. Let me know when you find the plot.

Funny, funny, funny. In spite of the screeching and whining of fools like Jack G. (#157, part of a burst of phony reviews by a single retard), it doesn't hurt to have a strictly-to-laughs episode. There's no big drama, no relationship development (although you have the Amy/Kif and Professor/Piercey things goin' on), no heavy-duty sci-fi concepts--just gags. And what a wealth of gags! The episode is bursting with them, and so many characters! My favorite bit was a little one; when Mom blew her nose with the Tricky Dick Fun Bill. What a vile hag.

Really interesting episode. It has neuther action nor sentimental stuff. But indeeed this is a kind of good post-modern film (or a kind of parody for post-modern stuff) with main idea what to do for 300 bucks: to drink 100 cups of coffee, to pretend to be rich, to feed a dwarf sperm-whale or just blow the nose into it.
Not a good show for teenagers but really good for connoisseur.

This episode sucked. I was amazed at how little effort went into each storyline.

While most people give their ratings based on their desire to have an effect on the overall ratings, my (1) is completely how I felt at the end of this episode. It's like they took the various sub-plots they threw away over the years and built an episode around all of them. Not only was most of it not funny (Leela, Hermes) but a good chunk of them completely betrayed their characters (Farnsworth, Fry).

I like the idea of having one storyline produce a whole bunch of separate story lines that come together at the end, but none of the individual story lines of the characters were great (and some were really weak). This was borderline between 2 points and 3 points, but I rounded up because of Fry's coffee conclusion.

I liked the bill depreciating to $297 after it comes out of the coffee machine. and the 100-higher level thing was just perfect, the look on his face.. Did anyone else notice the double reference the the decreasing value of dimonds. the store Zoidberg goes in first "Diamonds are Forever" with the "going out of bussiness" sign, and again with Bender in Le Grande Cigar left, just tossing it in the garbage. Interesting.

I found this episode utterly hilarious, mostly because of Fry's coffee-high antics. The slow-motion rescue scene after his 100th cup was beautiful.

Also, it has some of the greatest one-liners in any episode I've seen; Nixon saying "The loot! The loot! THE LOOT IS ON FIRE!!!", Morbo telling his wife "It's fine...Leave it...I will destroy you!!" (paraphr.) and Zoidberg asking for "One 'art', please!"

I don't understand the low ratings. Maybe it is the ridiculously annoying Kif having a semi-large role that gets people down. I was able to ignore that for once, though.

Futurama's coming to an end, this one had all the feel of a finale already with so many previous characters (including the devil) showing up and no real story in the episode. Fox should have aired this much much later....
as for the episode, it wasn't funny but a good watch, the ending was brilliant to say the least but the whale puking was awful, that shows no class for ideas. Strange that 4ACV eps have been pretty weak so far apart from the Star Trek, Valentine and Jurassic Bark episode maybe...might be time to finish off.

It amazes me how some people whine about
the episodes being too plot heavy or
shippy. Then when they get an episode that's
just mindlessly funny, they complain.

I, for one, loved this episode for the
plain outright silliness of it all. No
plot, just funny bits that remind me
of when Futurama first came out.

Another reason why It sucks that Futurama is cancelled.

Here's a fic to satisfy all you people who are complaining about Fry's coffie quest:

After extinguishing all the flames, fry let the fire extinguisher slip to the floor. He followed suit and fell gently on to his back, as still warm ash began to cling to his face and suit. He looked up into the cieling, and muttered to himself,

"Best $300...ever spent."

His eyes closed, and the young hero went happily to sleep.

Now, Zoidberg's got the smartest lines in the whole episode (His ending however could have been more explicit, for the simple minds, it comes off as just being romantic/gay...)
Leelas plot leads to nudity. Yay.
Hermes' and Kif/Amy's plot were disappointing.
Bender Steals. Hooray for Bender.
Oh, and it would have been so cool if the prof' would have dumped the girl as soon as he figures out she weights more than his delivery ship and crew combined.

But... Fry... the enlightenment scene... I know the futurama/simpsons writers, they're as original and creative as, well, zoidberg. Can anyone tell me where they stole the scene where Fry reaches divinity from? But definitely, the coolest thing I've seen in a while.

Ouch! What happened there? Did the writers use up all of the good jokes and ideas in the previous two episodes, or something?

This was one of the worst episodes I've seen for a while. I know they were trying to get lots of mini stories in, but it just felt awkwardly disjointed, and not at all funny (apart from Mom and Morbo's lines, really).

I usually like Kif and Amy stories, but this one didn't go anywhere, and both of them seemed a bit out of characters to me.

Hermes' story was utterly pointless and didn't have one good line, and Leela's didn't interest me at all, neither did Farnsworth's.

Fry, Bender and Zoidberg's stories were interesting enough, but they just didn't get going because of everyone else's segments.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'm glad Futurama has been cancelled. Not because it's got as bad as The Simpsons, but because it's definitely going that way, and I want to remember it as a good series, which, on the whole, it still is.

Three Hundred Big Boys is a very hard episode to review or even classify. Although there were no major off the wall Sci-fi concepts or storylines, it wasn't a down to earth episode either. Well, it may have been in it's subject matter but not in its execution or structure. I enjoyed this episode alot. There are many great background jokes and sight gags such as Geneworks SKG, the sausage tap, Fry's lightspeed coffee-induced heroic whirlwind, the Crack Mansion, and a barfing whale. I've always been a fan of The Simpsons 22 Short Films, and although the stories weren't woven together in quite such a clever way here, the episode still works well.
I loved Benders scene in the cigar shop.
"I'll just take this $300 burglars kit....So, what time are you closing?".
I have to say that Zoidbergs story didn't work that well, and the Proffesors was pretty pointless.
Anyway overall Three Hundred Big Boys is an interesting fun episode with some good ideas that don't always work. The people that have been calling it the worst episode ever can go to hell!
Sorry, I just tell it like it is, i'm a whale biologist!"

Pretty good. The whale biologist takes the cake. However, what was with the (bad) fat jokes they felt they needed to cram into the last minute or 2 of the episode? We get it, already. It wasn't funny at all (in fact I can't see any point, except a mean-spirited one) to make Farnsworth's girlie ask "where'd the buffet go?" when they realize they're safely outside. And then, like a second later, "I'll take 4 turkey dogs." Just lame, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth... no pun intended. If you're gonna beat a dead horse by making fun of the fat, the stupid, the ugly, etc. then make sure its actually FUNNY.

A very solid ep. There is an obvious parallel to the Simpsons' "22 Short Films about Springfield." It also reminds me of some of the better Seinfelds, where disparate plot elements come together in the end. Speaking of Seinfeld, did this remind anyone of the ep where George claims to be a marine biologist and rescues a beached whale by pulling one of Kramer's golf balls from its blowhole?

The characterizations in this Futurama ep were great. I found the Fry and Hermes/Dwight plots to be slightly annoying, but at least the Fry storyline had a tremendously satisfying payoff at the end. I also really enjoyed Zoidberg in this ep. I thought the Bender, Leela, and Kif/Amy plots were enjoyable, but the Farnsworth one was just so-so. The end was just fantastic. That ending brought it from a four to a five.

Not a very funny episode--most of the jokes fell flat. I did laugh out loud at the restaurant's sausage faucet though. And the 100th cup of coffee scene was great. Leela's line about "a mysterious orange blur" at the end was very funny, as was Bender's "all right, closure!" The totally arbitrary Roseanne hologram was good for a smile. Virtually all the other jokes didn't work, though. The plot threads all came together--I knew they would--but seeing how it happened was interesting if not particularly funny. The good bits are enough to raise this to a 2.5 out of 5 but I can't give it a 3.

The Fox execs are such slimeballs -- they could have aired most of "season 5" at 7:30 instead of 7 since nothing else but reruns of other shows was in that slot, with more episodes in January, March and April rather than during the summer. Urrrgh!

I don't get why people keep bashing at the fact that the storyline was loosely held together. If I expected a serious strory in every episode I'd not be watching comics. The Simpsons, by the way, deserve the adjective crappy more and more with every new season and FOX keeps running them instead of investing time and money in developing Futurama, which, by the way, had a constantly more solid "through-all-episodes"-connected plot than the Simpsons.

To quote William Shatner: "Aww, it sickens me"

I have to admit that this is one of my favorite episodes. I think the lack of a main plot made this episode very amusing. I mean, what's making this episode funny is all the sub-plots where you see what each character does with their $300

My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw that this episode only had a 75% rating (at the time of writing).

Nixon's "loot" comment, Fry's caffeine addiction, Amy's tatoos (yes) and the grand finale. I simply loved it all.

I was shocked to see people giving bad ratings for this episode. Sure, we can all agree the show got inconsistent towards the end(maybe everyone stopped trying because they knew they were going to be cancelled), but still, this one rocked. I think if Matt Groening decides to make another show, it should be entirely about the whale biologist kicking everyone's ass and eating seafood three meals a day. Also, I liked that there were lots of storylines...it kind of made it like real life. Different people doing several things at the same time. Of course, in real life, it wouldn't have been funny like this, but it was kind of like living, characters dropping in on each others stories, and the sort. And as for the accusation that this episode seemed like just a bunch of spare ideas the writers had, why not get them out when you know time's up? Solid.

This was a very good episode. the main reason why people gave it a bad score was because it's randomness and many different story lines spread out and zoidberg. I don't get why zoidberg has alot of bad lines. is it just one(bad) writer working specifically on him? But it's still one of the best because it was funny, especially the ending except whatever happened to Fry?

Wow. Not too funny, overall. But there were parts when I laughed out loud. Such as when Leela pulls out the plug of the freezer and yells "Hi YAH" as if doing a karate move.
And also, little later on, Leela and Amy come out of the dumpster, Amy saying "Where's Kif?" and Kif is groaning in pain in the net behind them. I guess those were the too funniest parts.

Superb - multiple plotlines only enhance it! I don't understand these people who say that following different strands made it worse. And Scruffy's haircut was genius.

This episode really felt like a recent episode of "The Simpsons". The story was ridiculous, the humour was a bit tasteless and what was it with Fry drinking 100 cups of cofee? The idea of many different stories crammed into one episode was good, but it was poorly executed. I think they could of come up with a better reason of the crew gaining $300 dollars each.

and then the Rosanne! Dictionary! Hilarious!

Hermes and Dwight!

Hermes:"See Dwight, aren't we having fun!?"
Dwight:"Nooo!I wish I had two mommies!"

Oh and the part when Zap runs toward Leela and gets caught in the web!

This episode is freaking amazing, why is it ranked so low? The way all of the plot threads blend together and play out over the course of the episode is a perfect example of what makes Futurama's writing so superior. Well, this episode certainly isn't one of the unfortunately growing crowd of "we-actually-found-one-semi-good-idea, let's-base-an-entire-episode-on-it". It's a mish-mash of short story lines that seem meant to give each character some screen-time. The coffee-counter is a great idea, and manages to give a feeling of purpose and direction in what might otherwise be a very disjointed episode. Excellent climax, would've dropped the wiener ending.

How many times will Fry have to save his friends, the earth, or the universe...only for no one to remember?

He's just a pizza-boy and all 'aw-shucks' about it if he even realizes what he's done.

That's why he's such a loveable character.

Sometimes multipule story-lines don't work, however, in this one it did beautifully.

I don't dislike any of the fox era episodes, but this one and Roswell, are my two favourites. The scene where Bender and Fry are sitting at the cafe, just cracks me up everytime and that 100th cup conclusion (with Fry giving that little nod of caffeine induced enlightenment) is so spot on.

This episode was not the best. In the best Futurama episodes (I should say, in most Futurama episodes) the entertainment comes from both the humor and the story. An interesting story makes for an interesting episode. Here, the story was completely pointless. There wasn't one emotional moment during the entire thing, and I really didn't care. Yes, it was funny (which is the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars; it really should be less) it's uninteresting, and most people wouldn't be entertained.
