Ken Keeler's episodes of Futurama normally make me think to laugh. This one still makes me think in order to laugh, but there was a bit less of that and more of pop-culture-y Verrone humor. It's still a good episode, but could use a bit less Nicolas Cage jokes unless they're by Harry Partridge and are related to chocolate cake. The Fry-Leela scenes were quite disturbing, but strangely touching.

Still great with all of the swapped bodies, and the science behind it! It also reminded me of Three Hundred Big Boys or 22 Short Films About Springfield, two great episodes of my two favorite shows.

I give it a 9 out of ten, and a 4 out of five.

Funniest Futurama yet of this season. This was just hilarious, especially who went into which body (Bender as Amy was especially side splitting in its hilarity, and the Fry-Leela switch is intensely gross humor...and I loved it!!)

Only complaint: WHY ARE THEY GOING TO STOP IT WITH THE FRY-LEELA RELATIONSHIP LEAPFROGGING?! One minute, they're friends, one minute, they're lovers, one minute, they're friends, one minute.....AURGH!!!!!

Well, fun episode!

Easily the most insane Futurama ever - the first two acts flowed unevenly like the episode (Three Hundred Big Boys) but the strong and insane finale made up for taht. Once the mop bucket became invovled and fry and zoidberg switched this epsiode really started; Zoidberg in the apartment was the funniest I've seen him...err Fry, whatever. The only real flaw is that their voices wouldn't have switched as well, that made no sense.

2nd best of the season, behind The Late Phillip J Fry. There's already a hater review? Jesus, this episode was HILARIOUS! I was laughing at most of the episode just because of how weird it was hearing the voices in different bodies. xD Amazing episode.

Great episode, a little frustrating I'm sure for the animators and when it was shipped to South Korea to finalize but all in all a great underated classic. More Scruffy Damn it. The Leela Fry Plot made sense they love each other no matter what I loved the Zoidberg line when he is in the Robot Arms Apartment and says Floors I have it made. Great Ep.

I have to admit, I was dubious about a brain-switch plot, but thankfully, they didn't take it seriously. Freaky Friday, this was not -- Ken Keeler made this one work through hyperbole. Good math, good one-liners, decent story.

#24 by Bender's Great
This episode has accomplished what I believe has lacked almost the entire season save for a few episodes; a well written plot with funny jokes that was while gag ridden, lack of any lame social commentary.

The episode was incredibly funny, the plot was dumb but still well written, and served as a great mover from joke to joke. The possibilities of body switching seemed endless, and the results were incredible. Zoidberg was as good as I've ever seen him, which is great after the wierdness from last week's episode. Bender gave his best performance since Bender's Big Score as a devious thief, and the Fry/Leela love scene was shockingly gross/amazing.

Overall, my only complaint is that it seems like they're pulling to many jokes about how weird Zoidberg's body is lately, but considering it has always been a staple of his character, its hardly a complaint. Tied as the second best episode this season, and here's to hoping the last two can hold up!

This episode wasn't the best ever, but it was just so absurd that it was funny. I too wondered why they switched the voices, but as the episode got more and more complicated, I'm glad they did. Overall, I think the major absurdity made up for any lack of depth.

Words cannot describe how happy i am with this episode... This episode is as good as Lethal Inspection and The Late Phillip J. Fry... This was a quality episode that was very funny with good humor, creative with the mind swapping, and fun to watch... I am so glad Scruffy got an awesome scene in today's episode. It was hilarious and amazing. I been thinking of this season as more of a letdown and failure, but Lethal Inspection, The Late Phillip J. Fry, and this awesome Prisoner of Benda episode are absolutely great.. Overall, this episode was great and deserves a 5 star in my book and it even made me feel as if it was an earlier season episode... 5/5 I Loved It!!!!!!!!

This is one of the craziest--and funniest--episodes of Futurama I've seen! It reminded me a little of Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles in that it was a gag-driven, high-concept episode with a fun dilemma and a ton of original humor. Still not quite sure what to make of Leela/Fry's love scene, but it still got a laugh out of me and is almost a little sweet if you can get past the gag reflex.

Certainly the funniest episode in a very long time, too.

As said before, when the hell are they going to sort out the Fry/Leela relationship. Right now it is no longer funny or interesting, just confusing and irritating. But... I am so happy to hear Scruffy get more than one line, hilarious! Also the opening with Morbo. Dooooooom! A few funny one liners from many of the characters and a very interesting premise for the episode.

Overall this episode was very average, in the middle of the pack for this years season with me. A few good moments, but could have been much better.

Ken Keeler delivers another fantastic episode of Futurama! The storyline of the episode was very interesting and funny, to have characters constantly switch with mixed parings such as Farnsworth and Zoidberg being Fry and Leela (delivering a rather disturbing scene) to Amy switching with Leela and making her fat as a result. The best scene by far is the one with Amy and Scruffy though, since it was in character for Scruffy and not expected, plus its kind of heartbreaking in a way too.

The plot's resolution was quick, but I'm actually impressed on how much content this episode fitted in within the 22 minute mark. Nevertheless, The Prisoner Of Benda had jokes which almost all worked for me (The only one that didn't work too well I thought was the Japanese translator guy one), but other than that, this episode had a strong plot, similar to Three Hundred Big Boys and The Farnsworth Parabox, with plenty of laughs (Zoidberg being Fry, Amy being Leela, and Fry and Leela as a couple... in Farnsworth and Zoidberg's body), many memorable quotes, and is easily one of the best this season. I'm going to give this episode a strong 5 out of 5!

Who are these people that keep pooo-pooing these new episodes? Were you ever actually fans of the show? Although I haven't loved every episode this season, most have been phenomenal. A good episode, with many hilarious moments (my favorite being the translation-delayed reactions of the Asian delegate). However, the obesity / feeding frenzy humor was far below Futurama's standards (and no, if you suspect resentment of a personal kind, know that I am a very skinny individual; it's my sense of humor that was offended, and offended mightily).

In any case, a strong episode that will remain memorable, but nowhere near the level of quality and ingenuity found in A Clockwork Origin. A solid 4, no chance of scoring higher.

Really, I'm honestly amazed most people actually loved this one, let alone liked it. It Definetely had some strong moments, but over all it was pretty negligible. I would give it a 3 out of 5, but one scene in particlar completely ruinded it for me. I never imagined that when Fry and Leela did decide to consumate their relationship, it would be the most terribly wrong and disgusting moment in the entire history of the show. I'm just going to pretend that didn't happen, and I hope they never reference it in the future.

I really enjoyed it, more-so on my second viewing. for me, it is sure to be a classic over time.

things i really enjoyed:
bender's storyline
scruffy's storyline
the math
zoidberg(as usual)

Well, to start things off, this episode did not have a single instance of classic futurama humor. I love that comedy central is trying to revive futurama, but this season just doesnt feel like the show did in its first 4 seasons. This episode felt rushed and it made me feel like the show is slowly comming to an end. Also, zoidberg cant mate because his species dies after words. ps that was VERY disturbing to see zoidberg and the professor goin at it.

I rarely make do this, but I have to make another post here to point out that altough implications were made, we do not know what Fry and Leela did exactly.

We all know that it is impossible for Zoidberg and the Professor's bodies to "do it" in the traditional sense.
So its all up for interpretation.

Perhaps all they did was snuggle or kiss some more.

Also, even though this episode was played mostly for laughs (which was awesome) there were also some little morals in it;

Fry and Leela learned that they both still love each other regardless of looks.

And the Professor learned to appreciate his body even though it is old.

Of course, Bender didn't learn a thing. ;)

People need to stop being prudes.

This was a hilarious episode.

"shouldnt Fry in zoidberg's body be dead?"

Well, not necessarily. As I think was mentioned here before, Zoidberg and the Professor's bodies could not possibly mate in the traditional sense.

Maybe all Fry and Leela did was snuggle or mate in a way that is non-traditional for Zoidberg's species. Therefore, a loophole from the death after mating thing.

Its all up for interpretation. They could not have possibly mated in the traditional sense with the bodies that they had.

Hilarious episode!

This episode had me laughing from start (Leela's "eye discussion") to finish (Bender learns no lesson, as usual) - the first one of the new season where I actually laughed myself hoarse!

Anyone that didn't enjoy this episode, I have no idea what the heck they are looking for. The characters were spot on and the gags were fast and furious. Add the bonus of no lame preachy junk and you have a winner!

I also have to laugh at people that are upset about the portrayal of Robo-Hungarians. How many Robo-Hungarians are out there...? Plus I think we ALL have a little demonic food lust every now and then!

Amazing. I've go to say this episode is one of those rare gems. It's one of those episodes where, when looking through your DVDS for an episode to watch, you see this one and smile. Then quickly, place it in the DVD player and end up watching the other 4 that are on this disc from the boxset. Good times. Funny, sickening, confusing and unexpected. Also each character has a typically "**insert character name**" one liner that reflects the good old days. Cheers for a good 20 minutes and an additional 680 after re-watching.

Funny, classic ep with bad science - how come the voices switched with the minds, even though the original vocal chords would still be intact. Having said that, it would have been far too confusing tracking who was who without it.

Fantastic episode, this is a dig-deep to find fault one, as far as I'm concerned. The concept was fantastic, the science behind it all was fantastic, and every single joke was well placed. I almost choked laughing at several different points through this, and it's definitely high up in my favourites.

Even though the characters keep their own voices, I don't find this makes the episode weak. I think it works with the episode, as it could have ended up too confusing which would have killed the episode completely.

A tie for my third favorite of the season.

Oh Scruffy, some day you'll find true love with your dream gal who has zero gravity jugs.

I don't get why people are still so upset with the 'are Fry and Leela together or not?' We've all seen enough of this season to know that the writers will have them either as friends, co-workers, or love interests depending on how it fits best into the script. I don't think there will ever be a definitive moment where they say 'okay we're offically a couple now for herever after'.

And I'm fine with that, I've learned to accept it!

This is my favorite episode of the season. Brilliant, elaborate plot, fantastic humor.

One thing I would really like to applaud is how the scifi gimmick of switching bodies actually allows the writers to develop and reinforce character traits. It's fantastic watching Zoidberg try to scuttle around in Fry's body, hearing Farnsworth complain about Amy's boobs "flapping every which way", or the fantastic moment between Scruffy and the washbucket.

Episodes like these make me elated that the series continues.

Overall, a strong episode with solid jokes and a well developed plot line. The only place I felt it really faltered was with the Fry/Leela plot line. Before, the writers had always treated this central love story with a sense of respect, lending the series some really heartfelt moments. But here, it's basically just being used as a flimsy pretext for a pretty gross, not so funny joke.

This episode was decent, far better that most of the episodes in the season. I found the plot to be creative, a little over the top, but that didn't detract from the story very much. The scene with the Professor and Zoidberg was absolutely disgusting and almost ruined the episode for me, but I was able to look past that and I found that it was a creative and enjoyable show. Not the best, but it gets a 4 because of the actual mathematical theorem that this episode was derived from. That's Futurama nerdiness at its finest!

Ugh... if there is one thing that I don't like, it's those lazy mind switching episodes. "Hey, it's a cartoon, so why don't we like, do different voices than usual! No one has ever done THAT before, right?"
What bugs me most is that Futurama usually either is scientifically correct or pokes fun at itself when it's not. Consider: If you only switched minds with someone, why the hell would the voice be switched, too? The professor talking with Amy's voice, Fry talking with Zoidberg's voice... oooh, how clever, how original!

What WAS clever was seeing how even after mind switching, they retained some of their character traits, like Zoidberg trying to do his sandcrab walk with Fry's body. Scruffy's always great. The Fry-Leela- "sex scene" was original, even if it was hard to watch. But it once again demonstrated how little the writers care about retaining a believable relationship between the two... so with a lot of mercy, this one's a

This episode is incredibly well written, taking an unoriginal premise and executing it brilliantly. It's not consistently hilarious but some moments are that of comic genius (particularly those regarding Fry, Leela and Scruffy). In fact, what's particularly commendable is how this episode furthers Fry and Leela's relationship without being mushy -in fact, it does it whilst being very funny it a horribly disturbing, gross-out way.
In many ways, this episode is something of a spiritual sequel to 'Three Hundred Big Boys' and it's roughly equal to it in terms of quality, with 'Big Boys' just about having the edge thanks to its beautiful, slow-motion climax.

This is a crazy episode. I watched this 4 to 5 times, it has to be the most funniest episode of Futurama since Futurama came back to making episodes in 2010. Ok, let's get started.

The Pros:
-Amy is surprisingly making the most jokes that are worth more than a grin.
-This is always a positive: Bender's lines.
-The Wash Bucket and Scruffy scene had me laughing to the ground
-Leela and Fry's date conclusion, yet again had me laughing too.

This episode is so funny, I'm not even putting down the cons.

The best use of the otherwise-cliche body-switching plot I've ever seen. Everything is brilliant, from the way the countless plots weave together to the mathematical resolution that only Futurama could come up with. And oh yeah, it's funny as hell. (And voices changing is totally understandable since it'd be really hard to keep track of who's in whose body otherwise.) 2nd best post-revival episode behind "The Late Philip J. Fry".
