They ended with one of the best. Loved this episode!! Great story with Leela and Fry with an epic closing!! This almost rivaled the first movie in its big finish. Fry's mutant form was pretty hilarious, and the reveal was shocking. Even finding a way to do another Titanic spoof, which rivaled their first one from Season ONE.

Great way to finish, and the 100th party was awesome.

Second best of the season, the jokes were better and it was a pretty entertaining story. I would have liked it a lot more if there wasn't that lame excuse for Fry "coming back" from being a mutant.

Wow! Great story, great one-liners, great 3-D animation.

Mutants Are Revolting is up there with Devil's Hands. Anyone who gives this one less than four clearly either never liked Futurama in the first place, or is so fundamentally unhappy in his or her real live that no episode, no matter how good, could possibly please him/her.

Best line was Zoidberg's:
"Three dollars at the drug store."

I was half-expecting Fry to still be a mutant at the end, but with the ability to shed his blob-like skin and assume his usual humanoid form, growing back and shedding it off-screen. But Fry forever being a mutant while still being allowed to look the same would have been complicated for a semi-show-altering consequence of the events of this episode. Equal rights for mutants in the end is good enough, coupled with it being an instant classic.

Futurama forever, or at least until the creators find a way to end it with 90% closure for both fans and themselves, upon when they may end it if they so choose.

Fantastic episode! I'm sick of the rather large amount of haters for this season. This show is so much better than a lot of junk on TV. Yet people still find a way to complain when a show like this has been able to survive so much. But aside that, this episode was spectacular! Full of great jokes, and a good story. Loved Hedonism bot's parts. All in all, I think this was a great season, and it deserves a better average User Rating than what it got.

i was never fond of the mutant-storyline in futurama as it didn't blend into other episodes. it was always a "mutant"-episode or a "normal"-episode. maybe that will change now, but i'm not sure if that's a good thing either.

2 is probably harsh, but I'm fed up. Futurama has lost its soul, and the writers either haven't noticed or don't care. Futurama used to be a show with heart. Lately the attempts at pathos have been laughable, while most of the humour has been anything but. I couldn't even finish this episode. It wasn't openly terrible like Killer Ap or IAGDL, but there's just nothing there anymore.

A good episode. I give it a 4/5 partly because the whole land titanic plot line has been used before. Also, I'll review this whole season.

The season itself had its extremes. Lethal Inspection, The Prisoner of Benda and The Late Phillp J. Fry, this episode and the evolution episodes were great episodes. The rest not so much. I've had qualms with this season.

1) The Fry and Leela Relationship. There's too much of it. It needs to be toned down a bit. Their was six or seven episodes in the orginal run that explored this relationship it was not every episode like this season. Fry constantly sacrificing his life for Leela and Leela not really caring about it the very next episode is annoying. It makes Leela look ungrateful. In fact Leela you slept with Zapp again torturing Fry. Fry if I recall was not really angry about it and you still flipped out at him the very next episode. Its not like your a saint either and Fry is really dumb and impulsive so he has an excuse. Sorry Leela but cut Fry some slack. The whole on and off relationship doesn't work either. Just choose one. No relationship or a relationship. That's it.

2) A lack of deliveries in space. A lack of space as well. This if Futurama. What's going on? Is this related to budget cuts? The episodes on Earth are reminding me of the Simpsons. A lot of pairings didn't really work. The only one that did work was Bender and Hermes. Partly because we had a secondary character with Bender driving the plot. To be honest besides Fry, Leela and Bender know one else can really drive the plot. I like Hermes now and I hate Amy. This season I lost a lot of respect for her. The Professor has become bitter and his senile personality has faltered a bit which was the best aspect of his character. Also, why is their always an ensemble cast in every episode? Can't we just have Fry, Leela and Bender for a change? Its not that bad. Futurama should be embracing both the old and the new. The fans brought it back lets get what we want.

3) The lack of cartoon blips in the opener is beyond irriating. The D.V.D. movies messed with the pacing until episode 6. In fact the D.V.D idea almost tanked the season. The lack of good music is irritating as well. Also, being on Earth reminds me of The Simpsons a lot. The misfire of Zapp hurt the show as well. I like Zapp a lot he came off as a little bit creepy this season. This season had great quotes but beyond the whole Hitler joke nothing really made me laugh. The Late Phillip J. Fry, Lethal Inspection and The Prisoner of Benda saved this season from becoming a failure. If you take these three out of the season you have a lack luster season. However, with each passing episode it got better. Next season will be like Season 3 or 4. Then they'll probably cancel it to aggravate everybody again. Their's no way I'm watching D.V.D. movies again. I give this episode and this season what it deserves a B-.

James thanks for the LONG review, U getting paid for that ANALysis?
U lost respect for Amy, that's real funny, get a life dude, its just a cartoon.

I agree the Leela/Fry romance is tiring at this point, but damm some of U sound so immature in your reviews, must be teenagers, it's the only emo answer...

Once again its a cartoon that should provide some laughter. The past is gone, nothing ever stays the same, so deal with re-birth or stop watching and go back to season1-4 DVD's.

Fantastic, brilliant, perfect season finale! The jokes were awesome. To sum the season up, it had a weaker start, a few "filler" episodes, but it had some very shiny gemeralds (:D) and some that make you think. Good 100th episode and good overall. It's great that Futurama finally got to have a 100th episode, a whole nine years after it started! I'm wondering how this will change things in the show now that the mutants are allowed on the surface again.

This season got off to a horrible start but improved 100%. I think it's safe to say that it's back to its old self and even had some of the best episodes ever in this season. That's quite a comeback, and I'm glad I didn't give up on it after those first four or five episodes!

This episode was pretty good up until the end, where it falls apart. Fry's recovery was a total and unclever cop-out. The fact that he fell into the mouth of the one person who could resolve the plot was also too unlikely. Leela's return to the surface is another cop-out, bordering on Deus Machina. (The mayor repeals the law forbidding her return because one person told him to.) Meanwhile the quantum-force gemerald, which shoots a high-powered laser, is also never explained. And the dowager's change of heart is rushed and unbelievable.

The writers really dug themselves into too many holes in this episode (Fry's mutation AND Leela's banishment), and the resolutions are unconvincing.

A good episode. Not much humor in this one, but the story makes up for the lack of it.

Leela seems a bit out of character when she offers fry a kiss. Why didn't fry mutate? do the waters only mutate small animals and little girls called Virgina?

I was dissapointed in this episode. Don't get me wrong, it was an ok ep. But for the 100th episode I was expecting a lot more. The story was decent. But the jokes just didn't make the cut for me. Although having said that, the Professor did have some great moments as usual, cracking the safe open with a skull lol. Overall a good episode, but one of the lesser of this series IMO.

Also, where was Zapp? I was expecting him to make an apperance in the 100th episode, seeing as he's the most major non-PE character. There has been a lack of Zapp this series I've noticed.

After watching this episode I can honestly say that I cannot imagine myself watching any Futurama episodes or movies ever again. This episode and basically, this whole season just made me forget about all the good times I had with the show over the years. Cut these people some slack. Not every episode will be dynamite. I think it's a great episode.

I wish some of u would just be patient. Remember, not everyone that rated this episode bad is a hater.

I know this maybe sounds weird. But i. Think that this episode would make a fantastic movie board. Or just a sequel episode. With fry. "still" be in mutant mouth.
But anyways. Futurama you rull 1000% from every episode you guys make. I can live. With being. Happy . And. "lol" big time. You make the best comics. May there be another 100 episodes and even more :). You rock!! :)

A good milestone of Futurama, which had a good plot and decent jokes, though I thought the pacing was a little off in places. The revisiting of the Titanic is maybe a little repetitive, but I liked how they brought the Fry-Leela relationship up again in this one. Fry not being a mutant was kind of obvious in this one, plus its maybe a little far-fetched, but other than that this episode was excellent, so I'm going to give it a 5 out of 5.

It was great, this and Lrrenconcileble Ndndifferences are the best episodes so far. Not many jokes, but it was a great 100th ep. I really liked the fine art of the sewers. Eric Horsted writes a good ep, (also about the Titanic). Bender's party was fun to watch. It's a lot better than the boring ep's about Proposistion ∞, the Adam & Eve one. A LOT better. 5*

Excellent episode. Top 3 of the season. Actually, only IAGDL was terrible for me this season, there were a few "okay" episodes such as Killer Ap and Rebirth and the Cat episode. But the rest were simply awesome, funny, well written and as good as any of the best of season 3 and 4.

I liked the story, the Zoidberg lines, the animation and everything!

Typically unfunny, poorly written episode like the majority of all episodes this season. If this were an episode from the original run, Fry would never have intentionally revealed Leela was a mutant. I hate what they've done to Fry, his personality is almost completely gone and he's far more stupid than before, too stupid to be funny.

For my money, this is the funniest episode of 6A -not the best, but the funniest.
It has a brilliant episode premise, and one that I'd wanted to see the show do since the original run, but unfortunately it doesn't execute it to its fullest potential -it could have been a real 'epic' and instead, it feels like a fairly standard episode with a lot of "100th episode" meta-jokes. The saving grace is that, like I said, it's extremely funny. Most of those meta-jokes are fantastic and even without those, it's full of laugh-out-loud moments.

Before I start, can I just say... THANK YOU FOR NOT DOING A CLIP SHOW!!! Now that I've said that, this was a freaking awesome episode. Loved it. It had some of the best quotes of any episode. I wrote the quotes section on the Infosphere page, and at first, I had 20 quotes. That's how awesome this is.

One of the things I love about Futurama is that even post-revival, it's not afraid to change its own status quo. That's why I liked this one a lot. It was a natural progression of the mutant story from where it left off years ago. I felt there was way too much exposition at the end and that killed the momentum, but everything up to that point made for a very fine outing.

The Fry/Leela stuff was done so well in the original run. They didn't focus on it too much, so when it did come up it was a welcome change of pace. Now it's brought up all the time, and rather poorly I might add. Every single character just seems off now.

This episode was definitely not worthy of being the 100th. Why didn't they let TLPJF be the 100th? That would have been an amazing way to do it. At least that episode did the Fry/Leela stuff correctly.

Futurama has really come a long way after over a decade. This is a very significant episode for 2 reasons: 1) This is the final arc for the mutant universe and 2) This is the show's milestone 100th episode.

We start off the episode with an announcement of the Planet Express hired for their milestone 100th delivery (yes, it is meta, but it perfectly coalesces with the episode's milestone). And right off the bat we have very funny jokes left and right: Instead of just going backwards, Bender of course decides still to jump the huge gap and deliver the souffl like the lunkhead that he is, Mrs. Astor only eats one bite while the rest of it, thrown out, blows up the 100 Dalmatians (another meta), and now this is where the revelation begins. At the fundraiser, after the presentation which greatly triggers Leela, Fry accidentally decides to forget using his brain again and reveals Leela is a mutant. Thus, Leela is now banned for 2 weeks from re-entering the surface world and must live again with her parents.

Fry, feeling grief and sorrow over his mistake, wants to rectify it by taking the rest of the Planet Express crew to apologize to Leela. However, now in order to make it up to her, Fry himself jumps into the Mutagenic lake just as Leela herself was about to apologize, and the results are... well... repulsively hilarious. And with that, here is where the fun really begins. The mutants are also just humans who were mutated with toxic waste so it gives them multiple side effects: They can have 4 hands, 4 eyes, tentacle arms, one eye... and because they possess multiple human traits, it should only be obvious they have just as equal rights as humans have. We even have a reference to Fritz Lang's Metropolis with the Pipeway! That is also a great way to pay tribute to a well-known futuristic movie.

Now with them back to the surface, when almost all is lost, Fry reveals there were mutants on the Land Titanic ship among the list of passengers and that one of them was Leela's grandmother! With that, now the mutants are allowed equal rights and are allowed to dwell on the surface. But another revelation is where Mr. Astor actually swallowed Fry, so here never actually got mutated when jumping into the lake, meaning Fry was still a human.

Meanwhile, oh boy... the Bender party. You really wish you were there. Hell, he brought every character we've seen from previous episodes! You have an Amazonian, the Femputer, Blek and his wife, Jack Nicholson, The Robot Devil, Kwanzaabot, Morgan Proctor - what more could you ask for? Bender is ready to P A R T Y!!! Unfortunately, that is cut short when he realizes it's not the same without the crew, so he halts it and hopes the crew comes back. To which of course then they have their own party.

So yeah, this episode is gag-heavy, it's fun, it's emotional and it brings another important arc to a close. What's not to like?

Thank you, Futurama. Keep the episodes coming.

9/10
