Cool episode. Enjoyed it a lot. Everything was just about perfect with it. The three songs were spot on. The characters died three times which must be some sort of record for the futurama universe. It was like some sort of Anthology of Interest meets Tree House of Horror Christmas special. Also, Al Gore showed up that's like automatically a perfect score. Please be renewed!!! 5/5

First off, good to see a new episode of Futurama.

As for the show itself, it had its ups and downs.

Likes: the whole Robonica segment, the 'episode sponsorship', dwight and zoidbergs comic in the kwanza segment, the cameos.

Dislikes: i didn't care for the talking bee's. too much family guy, not enough real sci-fi. dick cheney. too modern for me.

overall good.

and now i look forward to next season.

Loved it! Great holiday episode! There was plenty of references to old episodes, which I hope they don't get into the habit of becuase that's what ruins shows. But this, again, was really funny. The stories seemed a bit short but they did only have 22 minutes. All in all, excellent episode, though. I especially loved "My Icecream Manwich!"

This holiday episode was fantastic! It had laughing tons of time and the musical numbers... All brilliant. Like mention before, this episode felt lika a Anathology episode mixed with the Xmas fear... Which turned out great. My favourite is the celebretion of Robonukah :D

The 3rd weakest episode of the new season so far. The first segment was passable, the 2nd one faired alot better in terms of the quality of writing and the number of jokes, whilst the 3rd and final one went from passable to rock bottom standards, especially with the Family Guy jokes and talking bees (That one annoyed me big time, because The Sting did the bees and the hallucinations really well). There was too much singing in ths one too, and the songs were no where near as good as they should have been. Overall, a huge disappointment, and by far the worst holiday episode of Futurama. Thankfully, it's non-canon I guess. A 3 out of 5 overall.

Wow! Fun episode! I wasn't expecting a three parter, which was great. So nice to see a new episode after weeks and weeks off.

The only bad part is that I have to wait an indeterminate amount of time until the next season starts.

Can't wait for the DVDs!

Sorry, guys, but this one just seemed...off. The concepts almost felt like ideas that the writers couldn't use elsewhere, so they did a cross between "Tales of Interest" and the Robot Santa eps. Not quite "That's Lobstertainment", but, sadly, very close. Compared to the high standard of most Futurama writing...not even in the same universe! :(

Quite disappointed, having to wait this long and still ending up with a not-so-great holiday special.

Music was a bit lacklustre, not nearly as catchy or great as songs like Hermes' bureaucrat song or the masterpiece of Fry's Opera..or even the Xmas songs of previous years.

I can see what the writers were trying to do by referencing Christmas/Xmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, but it seemed to be trying too hard to be self-referential - seeing characters like Kwanzaabot and Al Gore again was awesome but I think they took it a bit too far.

Hopefully the new broadcasting season will impress!!

The Robunakah segment was the best of the three. Definitely 5 stars for that one. The Christmas segment was quite good, if only for the wonderful ending where they all die. The Robanukah segment was just poor and not very interesting. Overall a pretty good episode, but very disappointing if you've been waiting months for this. I cannot stand Al Gore, and usually Futurama has incorporated him into the episodes in a way that isn't so bad, but he was horrible in tonight's episode. Really brought the whole thing down with his smugness. God he was so smug, and not in a humorous way at all, it just came off as pure environmentalist elitism. I hope we don't see him for a really long time.

Very "meh" episode. I only laughed at one joke, the "albino humping worm." Everything else was very.. lame and, like other posters have said, waaay too Family Guy.

I had been waiting for this episode for months and was sadly disappointed. This episode just is not Futurama's style. And the talking bees were really stupid.

Worst episode in an otherwise awesome season. Look forward to seeing the next season fresh. :D

Good, not great. I've been pretty down on the season but I still didn't think this was as bad as many people seem to think.

The Xmas episode was, for me, by far the worst. There wasn't enough time to have a coherent conclusion and so the end seemed way too forced - the humor was pushed out to make room for exposition. And my god, the songs... an AOI episode is not a good choice for musical accompaniment, there just isn't enough time to fit it in (even if they weren't bad, as these were).

Robonukkah was, as many have noted, the best of the bunch. Decent twist, plenty of humor, and reasonable holiday references.

Kwanzaa was definitely the most pointed holiday critique, although the re-launch of the Space Bees was both unnecessary and not particularly well-executed. It was definitely average.

Omagawd, this thing is pretty close to rock bottom. I got more kicks from episodes widely regarded as tragic than this... thing. Three half-baked and rather weak storylines, drastically disposable music, a plethora of unfunny and redundant self-references and jokes. Probably the only episode to never even make me smile properly. Surprising crash and burn for an otherwise sturdy comeback season.

It made me laugh a few times, but it's still not up to par with the older episodes. The humor is very ADD, a lot like Family Guy, cutting quickly from one thing to another. The first episodes from this summer were this way, but slowly got better; this one was a step backwards.

Didn't like it one bit. I found it unfunny and rather pathetic in some cases. I thought the short stories of the Anthology of Interest episodes were strong examples of good penmanship but this episode really does seem a let down. It is weak, the humor is lacking if non-existent and the plots seem like regurgitation's of previous Futurama plots rather than anything new. A shame really as I always loved Futurama, but it seems a few episodes of this new series have demonstrated the writing team behind the show now just isn't what it used to be!

I find the absurd over analytical critiques of this season to be pretty old at this point. This episode was certainly not the best ever, but it was extremely clever and witty. I always love seeing Coolio back as Kwanzabot. But the fact of the matter is that every season of Futurama has had a few below average episodes, and this one is no different. The reviews have been far too harsh and overall I'm extremely pleased with this season. Episodes like The Late Philip J. Fry and Prisoner of Benda are top 10 episodes.

I was pretty disappointed by this episode. The jokes were mostly very very easy and telephoned. Of course there were some highlights, but this really made me think that the writers were trying too hard to be silly and 'old skool futurama', but it didn't work. When they visited the bee colony from The Sting episode, i really thought "oh please, don't mess this one up, that was one of the best episodes of the series... Well... better luck next time i hope...

This is the worst Futurama episode I have ever seen. Each segment felt rushed, incomplete and ultimately pointless. Seriously, we waited two months for THIS?!?!? Futurama staff, stop being lazy and get back to writing good humor and memorable songs! Why the hell did they mention Family Guy with that Kool-Aid joke, and seriously, what's up with the bees suddenly talking English? But wait, there's more! Killing the crew on all of their stories, sloppy story pacing, jokes falling flat on their faces? Clever writing in sight? More like a total disaster if you ask me! Three bad stories given to us in 20 minutes! That's a fantastic record for Futurama to be holding right?

A huge disappointment, and just as bad as that Attack Of The Killer App episode, maybe even worse than that! Futurama this season has had more episodes sinking to lower standards than even getting close to meeting them! Personally, I'm getting sick and tired of having to wait for good episodes to arrive after so many weeks and months of waiting!

There are only about 4 episodes this season that I can safely say were wonderful. 4 out of 13 is a serious decline in quality from previous seasons. I have no idea what is wrong. The movies were not long ago and they were all absolutely fantastic. This episode was disappointing after such a long wait. Also, please do not bring back Al Gore. This episode would have been improved dramatically without his superfluous appearance.

How much longer will I have to wait hopefully for the writers to hit their stride again? I miss the quick pacing and the perpetually witty dialogue. There is also too much of a focus on the ensemble in every episode now. The whole planet express crew only works when the story justifies it (e.g The Prisoner of Benda). Otherwise, the plot should focus on the three central characters of Fry, Bender and Leela and stop trying to cram in appearances from secondary and tertiary characters.

All the episodes seem to just be getting weirder and stranger. It's like that's the main reason we should be laughing, due to the pure ridiculousness of the situation. The musical numbers were not particularly good, musically, (compared to previous ones in the series) but because of how lame they were, that kind of made them funny? I don't know if that was what was intended.
Gags like the albino humping worm (which was hilarious) are becoming more few and far between in these episodes. I hope they can bring the writing back to fives sometime next year.

A poor episode, if not the worst of this current production series thus far and, I may even go as far as saying it is the worst episode of all time to date.

And I don't care what anyone says, there have been a lot of mediocre to poor episodes in the current run. More so I feel any other previous series had. Ok so there's still the other half to come.

Maybe they left the best until last. I sure as hell hope they did because the ratings are only going to go down if they carry on like this, no matter how many die-hard fans there are out there who find everything funny and rate everything a five. The ratings weren't exactly particularly great to begin with, even for a cable channel.

I love Futurama and, although some episodes suck and some are utter brilliance... If it is reduced to this kind of mindless pap I'd rather it finish it's next run off to some degree of dignity and end it on a good note rather than watch it get cancelled yet again...

All I tend to see on here since the show came back. Is everyone moaning about how it's not like the old Futurama. Every season of Futurama had great episodes, good episodes, and poor episodes. This season has been no better or no worse than the original run on FOX.

Every show changes as it goes on. Simpsons has done it. So has Family Guy.

Complete and utter garbage! I didn't laugh a single time during the whole episode. None of the plot stories made sense, the character killing off was a joke, and all the songs were annoying. to be honest, it seemed a little lazy. it seemed like a bad "anthology of interest". I almost got the feeling that some writers just watched a bunch of old futurama episodes, took note of the settings and jokes, and rehashed them all with a holiday theme. you know those reality shows like america's next top model where towards the end of the season, they'll have an episode that kind of sums up everything that's happened so far? this felt like that. when I heard futurama was going to be having a holiday episode, I hoped it'd be a brand new, plot-heavy, holiday-themed episode, like "xmas story" or "a tale of two santas" (both amazing). instead, we get something that feels more like a bonus on a dvd.
on a lighter note, I appreciated the songs. futurama has always done musical numbers well and, though it was a little weird for them to formulaically have a song at the beginning of each mini story, they were still good. especially the last one.

Non-canon stories don't work for Futurama when they have no link as to why they are non-canon in the first place (Such as using the What-If Machine as a way to tell these type of stories). Not only that, but all these stories were terrible and not up to par for Futurama. My favorite Animated show has way too many bad episodes in a single season now. I'm sorry, but this is starting to become a joke for the show and the fans.

I love Futurama, but this episode was truly terrible. There really was no point for Al Gore to be in there...or Dick Cheney. I really hate when they start throwing their political jabs in. I know the writers and producers are liberals, but I don't want to see that come through in the episodes and it usually doesn't. Futurama should be about comedy, not preaching environmentalism. They really should have kept the Anthology of Interest and XMas episodes separate. I have no doubt that the series will continue, as it should, but I sincerely hope that they get Futurama back on the right track. This season had some good episodes but as a whole it was their worst season.

Terrible. There have been some clunkers this season but this one could really well take the cake. Unfunny jokes, forced songs, pointless cameos, uninteresting stories, heavy handed environmental message (more so than usual) and probably the most nonsensical Futurama episode ever to top it off. I'm biting my tongue since I love the show so much but it's up the tier as worst episode. The writers can and have done way better than this.

There were some good belly laughs (especially in the Robonica section) but overall seemed to lack focus. The Evil Santa gag has been done to death now (there's only so may ways you can make the same joke) and any time Al Gore / heavy-handed enviro-speak make an appearance on Futurama there's an automatic letdown factor. Not as bad as most people are making out to be but definitely the weakest of all the holiday episodes due to the addition of the "Tales of Interest" format.

Suprised at the harsh rating for this one, it had a million throwbacks to old episodes long forgotten and a lot of laugh out loud moments. I just don't care for musical shows that much, so that subtracts a point for me. But other than the songs I thought it was great!

I thought this was an average episode. The Xmas segment ias okay, if rather rushed and with a sense of "been-there, done-that". I did enjoy the very brief inclusion of Dick Cheney as the late Agnew's replacement though...

Robanukah is by far the best segment, with plenty of good jokes and a good short storyline that actually works for the small length of time given to it. Al Gore's scene is, while forced, actually funny during this segment. The musical segment is also the most enjoyable of the three.

Kwanzaa starts out decent, with some funny Zoidberg and Petunia moments, but quickly becomes the worst segment when the Space Bees make a reappearance. This time, the crew can understand what they are saying, but the entire sequence is just jarring and not terribly entertaining. The musical segment is also not as strong as the previous two.

I personally don't have a problem at all with the non-canonical nature of this episode. I think the real problem with this episode is that they simply tried to cram too much into it. Perhaps if they didn't force a song, and Al Gore, into all three segments, it would have been a much stronger episode.

It is perfectly watchable and enjoyable, but it's also easily one of the weakest Futurama episodes.

This episode was pretty great, except for the fact that the 3rd act needed a little rewriting, but the dark ending saved it from the krazy kwanza 3rd section, that and Coolio. Simply loved the Bender chapter though, that's why I'm giving this one a 4 star rating.

I'm convinced that all of the 1 reviews are all one person who just really did not like the episode for whatever reason.

I enjoyed this from start to finish, was it a masterwork? no, not by a long shot. However I laughed quite a few times, and for free entertainment, that's about all that I can ask.

Personally I loved the endings to each one, particularly the Christmas one. But I'm a sucker for jokes that have all kinds of build up, and someone just sums up with, "and they all died."

A nice episode that is nowhere near the worst futurama episode ever.

Honestly, what a horrible christmas special. The song's were terrible, the jokes weren't funny, and it wasn't entertaining or well thought of. Another poor quality episode that seems rushed and not necessary. X-mas story and the Tale of Two Santas is what im going to stick with.

A big "meh" for this one; should have been left as, perhaps, a bonus episode on the DVD. Episodic ones like this are fine if done well, but I'm really over the singing stuff and don't find it particularly amusing. Stories were a little weak to boot; one of my least-favorite episodes of the season.

I enjoyed the episode. Not my favorite by any means, but still good.

It was very, very silly, but that is sort of excusable since it was based on the "Anthology of Interest" idea, so you have to expect rules to be broken and the silliness factor to go up.

Whoever wrote this shouldn't be allowed near the pen in future. It was lacklustre and boring. I'll admit it takes some knack and talent to be able to pen songs like the ones featured in the episode but it seems obvious they spent so much time composing the songs that they forgot to inject any proper humour, wit and cunning into the rest of the dialogue.

Either that or they're just not very funny people. Shame really, this episode had all the makings of an Anthology of Interest.

I agree with the masses that this was one of the weaker ones. The songs were terrible, the stories felt rushed (especially the first one) and the whole thing felt a little off.

Allright I suppose. Ending(of each one) seemed a bit forced. One thing I don't get though: I understand that pine trees were supposed to be extinct, but didn't that space manta ray(forget proper name) bring back all extinct animals and plants in Into The Wild Green Yonder? Another thing, how and why did bender sit in the pressure destroyed space ship for 500 millione(or was it billione?) years when his kind can't even survive that long?

I originally watched this around the time it came out and thought it was pretty bad. But for some reason, after rewatching just now, I'd say it was one of the best episodes of the season (not exactly saying much). It may have been a bit rushed, but the humor was pretty good, and there was a good amount of adventure, so I'm giving it a 4.

I was tempted to give it a 5 because it's current overall rating is so low, but then I remembered that the point of my rating the episode is to reflect my enjoyment of it, not to try to manipulate the totals. Hopefully others will keep this in mind as well.

This episode gets a lot of hate, but it certainly isn't the worst Futurama episode. However, this one just kind of fell flat. I liked the songs in the original series, but they didn't have any appeal here in my opinion. The endings often came out of nowhere, and the plots were a little boring. The one joke I really found amusing was the albino worm joke (albeit it was a bit crude) but other than that the humor was a little bland for me. This episode would have been worth a 2, except for one thing. Revisiting 'The Sting' sounded like a great concept for a future 'Fry and Leela' episode, but this one just completely ruined it. 'The Sting' was my favorite episode ever and arguably one of the best of the 'emotional' Futurama episodes, but this episode passes it by like it's nothing. That was enough for me to give this a 1.

I'll make this a review for the whole season since it's the last ep. The episode reflects what is symptomatic of the whole season, very uneven. It seems like the writing crew very much lacks a red thread to follow, some of the episodes are pretty damn good, some are just lousy. Hopefully the commissioning of a whole new season will make the writers focus more on quality instead of what seems like crazy ideas they need to get on "tape" before the whole show gets cancelled again. Futurama reborn needs more consistency!

It's a shame that this episode exists, thus tainting the wonderful standard of 'Futurama's other anthology episodes ('Anthology of Interest I', 'Antholofy of Interest II' and 'Reincarnation').
It has a handful of brilliant jokes but they're lost in a sea of cringe-inducingly bad ones as well as a wonky premise that doesn't quite work although you can see what they're going for. The musical numbers are also all atrocious which is, again, a real shame given how great 'Futurama's musical numbers usually are. They're extremely bland musically and the voice-work sounds tired, almost like someone singing along to a song on the radio, to themselves, rather than a proper performance. That's not so much the voice-actor's faults, though, given the awful material they had to work with.

That all said and done, I think this is far from being the worst episode of the show. In my opinion, it's much better than both 'Attack of the Killer App' and 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela'.

Decent episode. Quite funny at points, not the worst of the season by quite a way, just good. Overall, this season seems deserving of an 8.8/10. Great, not the best but a few killer episodes, mostly good and one or two I wasn't that fond of. Probably the worst season yet (simply for the reason that I have not really seen an episode before this that I have disliked, this season (first 13) there have been 1 or 2.

This was one of the worst episodes of the season, and in a season that had In A-Gadda-Da-Leela, Proposition Infinity, and The Clockwork Origin, that's saying something. There were way to many songs, and none of them were good or funny.
Christmas Segment: I'll start by saying that Al Gore was awful in this one. He was never hilarious, but he was never this bad either. Also, Robotic Santa didn't get enough air-time. Overall, it was boring and I didn't laugh once.
Robanukah Segment: A bit better than the other two, if only because the characters acted like themselves for once in the entire f**king season. But, I didn't laugh once.
Kwanzaa Segment: The Family Guy jokes were a total fail. Also, the Kwanzaa-Bot was a total disgrace when compared to his appearance in previous Christmas episodes. Also, the talking bees were annoying, particularly because they used the bees in "The Sting", where they were done very well.
Overall: An epic fail.

This has to be sad really.
I can't tell if the writers want to make the show cancelled, or the writers have no more juice in them to make funny episodes.
Season 6 is pulling alot of records here, the 2 worst episodes in Futurama history(The Holiday Spectacular and Yo Leela Leela).
Ok so let's get started

Pros:
-I had a little laugh when Dwight called Kwanzaa Bot "Kool-Aid", put that as a positive.

Cons:
-Racist jokes in the Kwanzaa part of the episode that didn't make me even grin.
-Degrading jokes such as "The Albino Humping Worm".

So I give this episode.
You guessed it:
a 1/5 rating

Usually when a 3-act series like Futurama has one of these "trilogy" episodes, at least 1 or 2 of the segments are good. But all 3 here were equally awful. Maybe one laugh per segment. I'm convinced Mike Rowe is the worst writer currently on staff. The usually-hilarious Santa-bot needs a redemption episode.

Wow. After such a lackluster season, they had to end with this? There was not one moment of the entire episode I enjoyed. Well that's not entirely true, the albino humping worm joke made me laugh for some strange reason, even though the joke was extremely stupid.

I thought the songs were awful, and didn't help the episode at all. It's a shame how the anthology episodes were so amazing, but every trilogy episode since then has been terrible.
