Certainly a decent episode. The pacing was better then other episodes of post-cancellation futurama, but what's the deal with all the F-bombs?

I thought the first act could have been better, but everything was uphill from there. Some great and subtle references back to early Futurama, and some great scenes and animation on the moon. I'm a big fan of the Robot Mafia too, and there was some great mafia humor in this one. Personally I didn't like the f-bombs until the perfectly placed "JOHN F***ING ZOIDBERG" which was undoubtedly one of the funniest things ever to come out of Futurama. The last one was unnecessary though. I don't expect much more bleep comedy in Futurama after this, but I really enjoyed the plot

...And suddenly it makes sense why Comedy Central decided to re-order the episodes for this half of the season.

This was a pretty good episode for fans, but it would have been a terrible season opener, with it's focus on side characters and in-jokes.

This was a pretty good episode. I'm a little disappointed that we didn't really get to see the inner pathos of Clamps -- I was hoping to learn more about the guy. Ah well, it was still fun. Not sure how I feel about the bleeping out stuff, but the episode was good enough I'll let it slide.

Very funny and a good solid plot. Im not sure why people have rated it so low so far, because the swearing wasn't that bad at all. Someone above said it was focused on in jokes for fans, but i think a non-fan would have found this just as funny.

Not the best of the season, maybe the worst. Nonetheless, that is a good thing, because I enjoyed the episode. Like someone else mentioned on Peelified, it reminded me of a season 2 episode such as 'the deep south' or 'raging bender'.

I loved the southern town on the moon, and wished that we got to see more of it. I especially enjoyed John Zoidberg's role in this episode. It was good to see him finally kick some arse.

Do the Zoidberg, do the Zoidberg.

It was a pretty decent episode, I can't complain too much. To be honest Clamps isn't really a great character but I think it was handled well enough by Eric Rogers, keeping Bender the focus. The first act was probably the strongest.

I wonder if the beeps were added by the crew or if Comedy Central forced them to. I would have thought they'd get away with using the F word on a cable network. It'd be interesting to see if the DVD release has it uncensored. This is the first episode in memory that has ever dropped an F-bomb.

A decent if fairly forgettable episode. Still so much higher quality than the start of last season. First act was definitely the strongest.

Don't worry about the F-bombs. It was totally in keeping with the mafia / joe pesci from goodfellas style and jokes of the episode. They won't be back next week (i hope!).

Not quite as close to perfect as Law and Oracle was, but still contained many classic gags. I'd say the Billy West joke wasn't particularly clever and didn't have as smart a punchline as I would've liked... but still as seeing this can rank among the best of episodes from the original series, this deserves a 5.

I thought this episode was a weird one. The swearing felt out of place, and only worked the first time Zoidberg did it (although it would be interesting to see if the DVD/Blu-Ray release it uncensored). The first act was probably the best part with the wedding, and I liked the callbacks to both The Series Has Landed and A Leela Of Her Own, but felt the hillbilly Bender plot was a waste of time as I could see the twist coming miles away. The jokes were hit and miss (The best ones being JOHN ***KING ZOIDBERG, Billy West, and the Professor looking at the wall) and Bender being Italian was amusing for me. I still don't get why the entire crew go to deliver packages though. Overall, I'm not sure what to think of this one. Average at best I guess...

This episode was good, and has the charm and wit of the older episodes. It was nice to see Zoidberg stand up for himself for once. Finally, I don't know why this episode is rated so low. What do you people want? I guess no episode will ever be good enough for some of the high strung people here. Maybe it would be better if Futurama was still cancelled for these sad individuals.

A solid "B". Good set-up with some clever jokes in the first act, and it (finally) made good use of Zoidberg.

The episode felt like it suffered from an identity crisis, though. I couldn't tell what it was trying to be - a mob satire? a Zoidberg-centric revenge fantasy? a Clamps character development episode? As a result, the episode needed so much exposition that it ended up squeezing out too many non-superficial jokes. Frankly, I think it would've worked better if they hadn't gone to the moon at all.

Wow I'm giving this episode a 6/5 for finally making Zoiby into the badass we all know he is.

P.S. Maurice LaMarche has really let his voices get sloppy hasn't he? Hedonismbot and Calculon sound different in each episode now, actually in every scene they change voices, it's incredibly bad and takes me out of the story and makes me question whats going on behind the scenes.

I thought it was a pretty good episode and jokes that hit the mark. It was nice to see the moon again and revisit some of those gags. I wonder if, like in the past, the writers just have a card for plot lines that says "Character Dies" that is getting worn out. "Run Away" isn't used as much now.

Clamp-clamp-ka-bamp! (still think that might catch on ;P)

While I'm not a fan of the language (but I get why they used it, & with exception of John F-ing Zoidberg. That was great) The rest of the ep was pretty dawn gweat. ^^

This one was still a little Bender-heavy, which we've had a few of this season, but they balanced it out I believe. And I personally love Clamps, one of my favorite robots clamps-down. But if he gets in a fight with my favorite character, Zoidy-poo is gonna win. Ya don't underestimate the lobster man.

I also happened to love the Billy West joke, that gave me a smile I could not pry off my face.

But I do wonder if the Crushinator's baby robot is truely her husband's or if the deleted scene from The Series Has Landed comes into play there.

I had a great time watching this one the first time... then went to the forums here and saw predominantly negative fan reactions.

After reading the responses and scratching my head over some of the absurd reasons (Fry is portrayed as too childish? Really? The bit about having Clamps over to "play" was the most classic Fry moment of any recent episode) I decided to watch again before passing a final judgment.

So, I watched it 2 more times. Now I can say with confidence: it's a fine episode, one of the most consistently funny and well paced of the new season(s) thus far.

I have little to complain about here; it's not as ambitious as The Late Philip J Fry or several others, but it gets everything right, and the humor is spot on. I give it a '5' in hopes that future episodes are more like this one.

The only things that saved this from being a 2 were the comments about the "steamy 12-way deliberations" by Hedonismbot and Bender's awesome "good-byes" to the crew before being relocated. Otherwise, it wasn't so funny. Also, I'm not a prude, but profanity isn't funny when it has no purpose. The scene with Clamps and Zoidberg in the locker room were uncomfortable and unfunny.

It was OK. I liked the parts with Zoidberg, but the story seemed to be all over the place and didn't feel coherent. I kind of get why there was swearing, as a spoof of most mafia shows/movies, but I hope they don't continue doing that just because they can. It wasn't the best episode, but it wasn't the worst, either, so I'll give it an average score of 3.

#62 by Futurama was good...
I will keep this review brief and just highlight why I believe it deserves a perfect 5 score:

Pros:
-Great humour derived from the plot
-Characters all act the way you'd imagine (Bender wants fame, Zoidberg is fickle, Fry is a bit dumb but very attached to his goodfriend Bender)
-The plot was actually surprisingly well thought out with a funny twist at the end.
-I must once again mention Zoidberg. This is quite possibly the best post-cancellation Zoidberg act job.
-Great pacing, it doesn't feel stale at any part

Cons:
-The swearing took away from the episode. It was funny if you though about it from a mafia movie perspective, but doesn't fit in Futurama and shouldn't make another appearance.
-Clamps could have used a little more development, I honestly thought we'd learn more about him other than that his name is Francis =P

All in all, an extremely solid episode, very well paced, great character acting, and funny. I hope to see more episodes with the quality of this episode and the last two as well.

Loved all the throwbacks to season 1's 2nd episode "The Series has Landed". The Crushinator makes me laugh and they went back for some Earthican pizza too! LOL'd that they relocated Bender across the street. Bella was hysterical too.

Not happy with this sudden "adult humor", just because it's on comedy central now. However, unlike episodes like Gadda-da-Leela, in this episode it makes sense. It was kind of shocking at first to hear all those f-bombs, but they were there for a reason and they work well. Generally, it was a very well-done episode. The Bender-isn't-really-Bender-twist was kind of obvious, but I don't mind the show being predictable as long as it's fun. And fun it definitely is.

The ep was alright, perhaps a little better than I expected. Nothing truly horrible, although wasn't a fan of the bleeped swearing, especially on Zoidberg's part. I was prepared to give this episode a 3 because most of it really wasn't that bad. However, Zoidberg's swearing just felt extremely crude and unnecessary. It just seems like another example of the show exploiting the fact that Comedy Central has no issues with that form of writing. The story's pacing was okay, but I'm not sure if centering an episode around Clamps was the best decision. He's an interesting character, but personally I only find him interesting when paired with the rest of the Robot Mafia. Overall, the episode had some good moments, but the senseless profanity (and I'm not prude, I just feel it has no place in this show) kind of had me worried that Futurama is going down a bad road.

Yuck, a horrible episode. It makes sense that Comedy Central switched the premier of the show to 'Neutopia' because this episode would have been an embarrassing start to the season.
The storyline isn't inspired, but it works moreorless, although it features a lot of things I'm not a giant fan of (tertiary characters 'moving in' with the protagonists, Bender dying AGAIN, etc), but the episode's largest flaw is its lack of humour. A decent amount of gags land, but it's far below 'Futurama's usual standard and then there are so many jokes that are just, plain bad. I mean, Bender stealing the Donbot's meatball recipe? Horribly laboured. Colonel Mustard Gas? It's not even sci-fi related. What does a character from a board game have to do with anything? And I could go on.

In my opinion, this is easily the worst episode of 6B.

BOO! This was yet another terrible post-cancellation episode. At first, I didn't mind the post-cancellation episodes (and they did get better as they went along), but the more I compare them to the previous episodes, the less I like them. I'll use this one as a comparison, probably because it's a generic example. The only thing I have to say specifically about this episode is that the use of the f-word was totally unnecessary. Anyway, here are my problems with the new episodes:
The Characters: All of them, other than Fry, are toned down versions of themselves. Bender isn't nearly as obsessed with drugs and anti-working, Leela is barely a character at all anymore, Farnsworth is less mad-scientisty and more old-manny, Zoidberg is less lonely and stupid, and Amy and Hermes don't do anything at all. They barely have any lines. Plus, we barely see any of the recurring characters.
Plots: In the old episodes, the plots would often be typical cartoon plots, but they would just as often make me cry, move me, or both. Take for instance, The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings, Jurassic Bark, Time Just Keeps On Slipping, Parasites Lost, ect. The only 2 new episodes that do that are Cold Warriors and Overclockwise. Plus, when the plots didn't emotionally move me, the plots themselves were funny; now, it just seems like the writers thought of random plots to see if they could put jokes in them.
I have several more complaints, but those are the main 2, and this is getting really long. The point is, the episode sucks. :(

I love the Robot Mafia, but their episodes are never stellar. They had two of the duller episodes of the series' original run, and the trend continues here. The first two acts are pretty good, and the involvement of Clamps is nice, even though I feel they blew the opportunity to flesh his character out beyond the "clamps" joke. But the 3rd act was a total bore, aside from the "JOHN ****ING ZOIDBERG" sequence. Plus another lame fake-out death. Not a bad episode by any means, but a forgettable one.
