The beginning was a little too quick - it's OK if the characters get to breath a little - but funny from start to finish. References to Tron, Schrodinger's Cat, Police Academy, 3D Avatar, and Minority Report - what's there not to love?

Best episode of Futurama of the Year!! I loved everything about this episode. Love the TRON references and that the whole episode is really a wink to Minority Report (episode's actually better than the actual movie), and loved URL and Fry as a team. Also, the 3-D joke confused me at first, but then when he threw the sandwich, I was laughing my head off!

Solid, with literal LOLs early on. If not for the weak third act and the police chief who ruined every scene she was in, it might have been a five. But I really enjoyed the unique plot and the animation during the Circuit City scene.

Simply put, this is the best new episode I've seen since "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings". It still wasn't quite up to par with the old episodes, but it came close and there were plenty of very funny and memorable moments.
Leela and Bender's delivery mission was aboslotuely great, not just because of the uniquely interesting destination which provided fodder for some really funny and clever jokes, but also because it showed how they can't get along with each other with out Fry. I also really enjoyed the Tron segment (even though I've never seen Tron) and the way they parodied minority report.
I did not like the beginning, though. Why was Fry delivering a pizza? It doesn't make sense. It seemed to just be nostalgia for nostalgia's sake, which I don't really like.
Besides that however, this episode was mostly really clever and funny the whole way through. In fact,it will actually go down as one of my favorites, something I thought I'd never say about a new episode.

Really funny episode. The police chief was a little disturbing, and the pizza delivery at the beginning was a little odd; why would Planet Express deliver pizza? For those reasons, I'm giving it a 4; it actually seems like someone put some thought into this one (instead of just being stupid) and I'm a fan of Fry-centric episodes, so it's almost a 5.

I thought it was really good! The only gripe I have with it is that the first act happens way too fast, but once Fry joins the police force it stays consistently good. Fry and URL worked so well together as partners, and the Chief I thought was funny because she was a little over the top. All the pop culture references made sense in this one, and the Circuit City part is one of my favourites scenes in the show. Taking the main plot into a Minority Report way was a good move, as it fitted perfectly with Futurama and the Police force. I can't believe I actually missed the twist coming. The 3D Pandora planet was also funny and didn't overstay its welcome. Lots of jokes, both clever, slapstick, and visual throughout the whole episode and definatly one of my favourites of the season. 5 out of 5.

Classic episode, with Scruffy, Roberto, Hedonismbot and many LOL moments!

Fry: "Hello. I'd like to enroll Police academy."
Officer: "You think you can just waltz in here with no pants, and become a cop?"
Fry: "That's the plan."
Officer: "I like you kid, I've got no pants on either."
Fry: "I can see that. You're quite a bit taller than me."

Pickles: "... to know the punchline of every joke, hours in advance."
Fry: "Like watching Leno!"

Farnsworth: "I hereby promote you to ... executive delivery boy!"
Fry: "Executive..?"
Hermes: "It's a meaningless title, but it helps insecure people feel better about themselves."
cue credits: "Executive Producers Matt Groening / David X. Cohen"

Fortunately I still have old 3D glasses and yes, it works!!

For the really geeky: look up 'Law of Lorentz invariance' and 'Schrdinger's cat'.

I'm in the minority opinion with this episode. I have a lot to say about Law and Oracle. This episode was good until the very last seconds.

For once, I felt like Fry was going to accomplish something. Throughout the shows run he's been viewed as a loser, lazy, incompetent and a slacker by his peers. This episode was good until the end for two reasons.

The first reason was because it reminded everyone that Fry is the very heart of this show. The Planet Express scenes proved this. The second reason I liked it was because Fry actually worked well as a police officer. For once, I felt like Fry was going to get the respect he deserved. Then Fry's plan to arrest the Oracle was clever and thought out. At this point, it was easilty in my Top 20. Everything was great and then the episode derails due to bad pacing in the third act.

In this episode, Fry grows as a character by becoming a police officer. IMO the show should have explored this further. Instead, Fry gets fired. Fry gets his promotion but Hermes whispered its a meaningless job title. Fry says a witty line that proves Hermes point. In the end, Fry is still a loser, a slacker, lazy and looks stupid. Now, I wonder what was the point of the episode. My main concern with Futurama is that it refuses to change. If it continues I'm afraid it will become like the Simpsons which is the king of this trope. The newer episodes are better then the previous season, although they rely to heavily on plots from previous movies and the old run. I'm for continuity, I just don't like recyled plots. Is Fry always going to be a loser and never get the respect he deserves? Besides TLPJF, POB or MIR is the relationship with Leela always going to be "iffy" or ignored until the very end of every Series Finale? Will there be a major game changer for the show? In the end I liked this episode. I would recommend it. I was just disappointed by bad pacing and the story's misuse of Fry.
3/5

Wow, this is by far my least favorite episode of Futurama. I stopped paying as much attention after only a few minutes but still listened and looked at it occassionally while looking up reviews on the episode. I was so surprised to not find any negative reviews of this episode. It was not very funny (I did laugh a few times, but very few times). The writing was very weak, flat, and uni-dimensional. It was not sharp at all and rather than having wit and humor, the characters explicitly stated everything you the viewer should think for yourself. This is okay to do every now and then as it is ironic and humorous when you do it once, but they did it sooo many times in this episode.

I noticed so many errors and things that do not make sense. I know that Futurama never takes itself or its canon too seriously, but there are some things they follow. You can't have a cart with wheels if the technology of wheels doesn't exist! Planet Express does not make pizzas, so why would they deliver them? Even in the future, they cannot go past the speed of light. Sure, the scientists increased the speed of light, but that doesn't mean you can go faster than it.

The pacing was too fast. There was often no connection between subsequent events.

Josh Weinstein wrote this episode. The only other episode he wrote was That Darn Katz!, which I also disliked.

Don't get me wrong - I do like some of the new episodes and I continue to defend the new seasons even though some episodes are weak. But this is the worst one yet (except maybe The Futurama Holiday Spectacular).

I never thought Futurama would see a western showdown between Dr. Zoidberg and a member of the Robot Mafia. But that's exactly what we got and they even iced the cake with a few F-bombs which in my opinion were used righteously and only added to the episodes effect and the development of Zoidberg's hatred for Clamps.

Awesome - one of the best of the new run. Fry suddenly became a cop, but they wrote in a character-appropriate WHY, which has been missing in many current episodes. The premise of this episode screams "lame" and "running out of ideas", and yet it all comes together brilliantly.
The story is a solid bit of science fiction using 'Minority Report' as a template, but the real reason this episode works so well is how damn funny it is. It's absolutely hilarious. So much so that you forgive it for falling victim to the overused sitcom trope of "lead character gets a new job" or for messing with aspects of continuity (Smitty retires, people have committed crimes and not been stopped by the future-crimes division in the past, etc). It's just non-stop hilarity. In fact, I'd say that it's the funniest episode of season 6.
To top that off, it features a lot of little moments that really make use of the show being animated. There's a 'Tron'-spoofing chase sequence that looks amazing as well as the interior of the future-crimes division looking rather lovely.
It's an all-round, fantastic episode that goes to show that 'Futurama' can produce masterpieces that are fairly emotionless (far from the cries of the likes of "The Luck of the Fryrish" or "Jurassic Bark").

This wasn't really my favorite episode. I liked the Tron parody, but other than that, not much stood out or was funny. I didn't like it.

Best episode of the second half of season 6. Wonderfully funny and on-point throughout with a clever ending and sci-fi elements.

Here's a good example of Futurama taking an ordinary sitcom plot (protagonist-gets-wacky-new-job) and doing a futuristic spin not possible on another show. The opening minutes were hilarious, and the one-liners were on fire throughout. The episode slowed a bit after Fry became a policeman (the chase sequence was cool visually, but lasted way too long), but once the Minority Report parody kicked in, the episode began firing on all cylinders the rest of the way.

An episode where Fry becomes a cop should be retarded.. instead it's one of the best episodes since revival.

Law & Oracle is a brilliant episode, it's funny, smart and perfectly paced. Brilliant animation and two great parodies also help.

Another excellent episode written by Josh Weinstein. I also like the episodes not written by him, but episodes written by him are my favourite.

Could have been good but reached nowhere in the end. Wish there was a good suspense scene with Fry as a cop. What saves the episode is the police academy theme
