This episode had quite a few funny and true to life segments i.e. the drive thru scene for example.
Overall it was very preditcable story wise but I liked it overall. My one question is won't Peppy begin to mutiple now and kill everyone off there, oh well?

The pacing was great here, but i think i laughed out loud once. The "I'm scaroused" line left a very bad taste in my mouth. So much wordplay lately. It was entertaining enough to earn a 3 though.

I still don't understand how so many fans can just give away 5's (perfect score) like it's nothing. This was certainly no 5.

I'll use that free app that tells you what restaurants are near.
- You mean, the window?

Zoidberg, you're an inhuman monster.
- What are you, my drivers license?

We can't murder someone because he's hideous and annoying.
- That's what we said about Zoidberg and look what that got us.

Its brain is the size of a walnut.
- So are walnuts, and they are delicious.

The blооdy idiot blооdy shot me, I'm all blооdy blооdy!

Jinkies, he's Scooby-Doo'd us!

Good to see old characters back, like Fishy Joe, the moon farmer and the Amazonian Women (want to do snu-snu!). And of course Angus McZongo who sounds remarkable like Sean Connery.

I wasn't really waiting at all for this episode, but it took me by surprise. The pacing was good, the story was fine and it seemed that for the first time this season the writer's didn't look out for easy jokes. Well constructed episode and tons of fun. Hope the rest of this season and the future ones will be as solid.

This has been Zoidberg's season.

Solid episode! This one had me laughing out loud several times and, in my humble opinion, had the great feel of the older episodes. A startlingly great episode! It has all the little nice things we love about Futurama. It has Lrr with his trademark growl, Fishy Joes, All My Circuits, and a fresh diversion from a cute little furry harmless creature instead of that we got an ugly little scaly harmful creature! But hes still lovable, especially the way he tugs at Fry (tearing him up in the name of love), then later kicks at him like animals do from time to time.

Zoidberg crossing his heart is a sight to behold.

Also I discovered Fry is actually pudgy. Make me unwatch that, hee!

Actually reasonable Angus.

I'd love to give this one a 5, or even a 4, but it was very average for me - especially the final act. First act was easily the best, with Fry incubating the egg and Mr. Peppy running loose around the PE building.

I found most of the visual gags involving Mr. Peppy quite funny.

I've gotta say that the voice acting felt really half hearted, but maybe it's just the mood I'm in.

I thought it was good, not great (so no recipe for immortality.) The story worked better, it flowed, made sense, and had a satisfying ending. But I didn't think it was near as funny as some of the others had been. It's unfortunate. But still decent.

Except for that 'platonic friend' *&$#. Bleh. I'm starting to hate Leela. Go get a good gf, Fry!

I thought the episode was decent but definitely not the best of the season. I enjoyed the story and some of the one liners but I am surprised it got so many 5's. On another note I think the rating system needs to be expanded from 1 - 10 instead of 1-5. I think it would actually give a better indication of how good episode was.

This was another good episode. Some moments made me laugh out load, like when Bender played fetch with the monster (the bone-eating vampire, or something). The episode was really entertaining. Yet I did feel that something was missing... There was something more I wanted, maybe a little stronger story I don't know. Still, very good episode, Zoidberg has been awesome this season, like in this episode. I can't wait for the next episode: "The Tip of the Zoidberg"!

It was pretty good but the basic plot of a non-bird hatching from an egg was done by The Simpsons, not only that but the plot of everyone wanting to destroy it was kinda the same.

well...it was ok. the little touches of all my circuits was great as was the return of fishy joes! calculon's line was great too! but, and i know it seems im some bitter, jaded fan here(and i really am not) it's just missing something. pacing? writing? character? i don't know. i'm really starting to dislike leela more and more each week and i've never felt that way. where was nibbler? wouldn't it have been a funny scene to see fry protecting the egg from him since he is an eating machine? zoidberg has been shown knitting, how about him knitting something for the egg? just missed opportunities and flat, forceful jokes. im losing hope that this season can end on a high note. if next week's is bad, be prepared for a scathing review. you mess with zoidberg and its on!

A solid episode. The premise wasn't hugely original, but the writers managed to get some good mileage out of it.

The pet montage was pretty entertaining (if montages are getting a little overdone), the cameos were sharp, and the characters seemed more or less coherent. Bender was used effectively in small doses - as he should be - and once again this season, Zoidberg had some great lines.

I knock off a point for the schizophrenic plot; it took a while to get to the Scottish planet, and seemed unsure if it was supposed to stay a fish-out-of-water alien species farce or become a gothic monster movie. I'm also getting a little sick of what the writers clearly think is clever wordplay ("YESSS!", "Let's do that Leela thing!"), but which usually comes across as obvious and just falls flat.

As a whole, I've been very pleased with this broadcast season so far, especially in comparison with the last year's.

It was a good ep, some good jokes and none that were horrible. I loved the first act, and also Mr Peppy was pretty clool. The fast food drive thru stuff was great. I wasnt so keen on the third act, that planet and the characters on it seemed un-Futurama-y to me and that let it down a bit. Didn't appeal to me. Compared to what went before which was total Futurama, the contrast was for the worse. Having said that the plot still stayed on track though, so it didnt kill the ep...

Pretty solid episode. Something I would expect from the good old days of Futurama, and I like that!

Not superb, but well deserving of a 4, especially compared to the episodes previous.

The 'platonic friend' line was a bit strange and only further distorted the Fry and Leela story arc. Aside from that, this episode was okay, not great (Insert Lrrr joke). A bone sucking vampire creature felt like it belonged in an entirely different genre, and a planet of Scottish men was...interesting. The pacing was fine, and I am so glad that recent episodes have avoided unnecessary sexual humor. Yet the writing still doesn't feel all that strong. I no longer feel connected to any of the characters like I did in the old series, or even in some of the episodes in 6A. Fry's nurturing side was nice to see, but it was done far better in 'Jurassic Bark', which I feel this episodes was at least, in part, inspired by.

Some things were very good about this episode. The drivethrough scene felt like classic futurama - yes, to some extent it makes fun of today's unhealthy food, but mostly it's just about a fastfood restaurant in space - which is awesome. Also, Zoidberg was at his best in this episode. He was overused in most of the other season, simply because he's the funniest character and it's easy to make good stories with him. But here we have "classic Zoidberg". Just his beloved one-liners, not the whole story being about him: "What are you, my driver's license?" (That's what we said about Zoidberg, and look where that got us!) "Amy has a point." Generally, the first half was good. Fry roosting was pretty well-executed and him scaring away all threats to the egg was quite a funny scene. But once again, he seems too childish for my taste in this episode. His way too high-pitched voice, a problem that continues through the whole season, isn't helping. Be that as it may, the whole first half of the episode was great.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse once they entered "Scotland". I don't know, that just didn't match into the Futurama world. The whole plot became boring and dull once they were there. Leela flirting with that hunter guy wasn't very credible and the "platonic friend" line... well, I've become so used to the writers playing ping pong with Leela-Fry-relationship that I hardly cared. Still, the second half just wasn't funny anymore and dragged on too long. The "twist" was predictable and the ending illogical (doesn't the bone vampire reproduce infinitely? but suddenly they want to keep him?).

Overall, it was still a pretty good episode.

It's nice to see 'Futurama' return to the realm of horror-parody last seen in 'The Honking' and 'Ghost in the Machines' and this episode features a lot of good gags -but on the flipside, it all feels a bit flat. The story is predictable and nothing about it really stands out to me.
It's enjoyable, but not a particularly memorable episode.

"Character-gets-dangerous-pet" is a pretty overdone sitcom plot, and while Futurama does some pretty wacky things with it, it still doesn't stand out from the pack. I thought the first half of the episode was hilarious, especially Fry's egg montage, but it suddenly became a bore once they reached the other planet. More Fry/Peppy bonding may have helped it. It's Mike Rowe's only decent episode, but it's still forgettable.
