A bit better than I expected. Rather than being bad, it was merely average.

What I liked:

-Leela and Amy finally getting an episode. I'm surprised it's taken so long for an episode about the two of them specifically, similar to how "That Darn Katz!" was the very first Amy episode that wasn't about her love life.

-Consistent writing for Fry and Leela this season. I'm glad that on-again-off-again crap is over.

-Lots of great visual gags; namely the Professor's carrot cigar (And seeing Bender using it later! ), the ship sinking in the water, and the strangely hilarious gag with Fry squirming on the floor like a caterpillar.

-The reappearance of Kif's parent's was welcome. Also, more of the washbucket is a big plus.

What I didn't like:

-The Butterfly derby. The entire concept is just stupid; and I don't mean "funny stupid" like the show often is. Just regular stupid. It's just a lame plot which unfortunately spoiled the episode.

-Fry saving the day. As soon as Leela's wings ripped off I said to myself "Oh, Lord" because I could immediately guess that Fry was gonna suddenly be a butterfly and save the day. Okay, I didn't expect the mating part, I'll admit that. That was also a bit lame.

-The fact that every episode Abner Doubledeal touches ends up being sub-par. What's up with that?

-The ending. Way too fast.

I'm giving this a 6/10. Probably the worst this season, but it was still much better than I thought it would be. The good news is that the rest of the Season sounds excellent.

This is what I was worried about before Season 7: The episodes hitting rock bottom. Ever since "Theif of the Baghead" episode, episodes started becoming ice cold. Except for "Zapp Dingbat". The jokes are decent, but endings are rushed. The writers might be like: "Screw and racing, we will overcome their speed by making our endings fast as light"

Lame plot, extremely dumb jokes, and further assassination of Leela's character.

Nerd complaint: The Apollo moon rocks returned to earth were no where near the size of the ones portrayed in this episode. Nerd excuse: Maybe more Apollo missions launched between 2012 and 3012?

Wasn't a fan. Steroid-related plots have been done to death in other shows, and in spite of Futurama's wacky spins, it couldn't stand out from the pack. Also extremely predictable from start to finish. Aside from a couple funny lines (I laughed harder than I should have at that Elzar bit at the start), this was the worst episode so far this season. Mike Rowe's writing record continues to be unimpressive.

Along with "Futurama Holiday Spectacular", "Neutopia" and "Yo Leela Leela" it is one of the worst episodes after the renewal.

The plot was horrible and Bender and the Professor were immensely missed.

However I very much enjoyed some jokes:
- the trainer lurking behind the lockers.
- the Batman reference.
- and Fry as a butterfly (specially Zoidberg's remark "He's even more beautiful than before").

Okay. You guys have weird tastes. This season has been okay for me. Way better than the last season that's for sure, but hit-and-miss. Last week's episode was great though, and this week's episode continues that streak. Actually, I can't remember having laughed this hard at Futurama since pre-cancellation (Okay, that's a lie. The body swap episode last season was amazing as well). This was perfectly paced, hilariously weird, very sci-fi. My favourite new episode so far! I really hope they keep this up.

Okay, aside from the rushed ending I didn't think this episode was as bad as everyone says it is. We haven't had an Amy and Leela episode since Amazon Women in the Mood. We even got to see some more development between Fry and Leela. Hell, they even establish that they're relationship is evolving.
Oh and those Butterfly outfits, SEXY!
Like I said, despite a rushed ending but still a solid episode!

This episode was weird. I think a lot of people had a feeling it would be the stinker of the season, myself included; It was actually a lot better than I expected. I don't like the comparisons to Yo Leela Leela - this didn't make me cringe like that episode did. The story wasn't too bad and it made me laugh a few times, but I'm not really sure about it as a whole. There was promise in this episode for some exploration of the Leela and Amy friendship, but I think it was neglected in favour of the nectar storyline and its sexual side effects. This episode could have been a lot worse.

I'll be generous and give it a rating of 4, if only for not sucking as much as it could have.

Characters pulled out like tools from a tool box, a dunderheaded lead theme complete with skimpy outfits, uncontrollable making out and human on bug action. Classy. Rowe's track record - smellier than ever. My hopes - lower than ever. Way too many of the new episodes are pure dung.

I actually believe that this season of Futurama has been quite good. The first 5 episodes have been really well written and definitely better than last season. This episode wasn't that great. About 5/10 for me. Some really good gags that will no doubt make you laugh, but the story was all over the place. Please writers, come up with an ending that fits. Don't just throw anything together!

Every episode review has to have a naive fan of Futurama say "OMG, this episode was so funny!" People please. Stop making reviews that aren't serious. This site is meant for Futurama fans that love and know everything(probably almost everything) about Futurama. Please stop being naive about Futurama. Just please.

All and all, this episode is the worst of this season, yet Fry feeling like a catapillar, then squirming on the floor and Proffesor smoking a carrot was pretty funny. The ending was really rushed. Plus, the ending where Fry mates, was unexpected. But expected that Leela and Amy would be saved.

A decent but nothing spectacular episode.

It was a bit rushed but hey, it happens.

I'm not sure why we have to keep going back to the moon / kiffs home planet ("I am the grand..." is getting tired) though - you've got a whole universe to play with writing team! They could have just as easily been on a delivery mission to somewhere new (remember when they used to deliver things?)

Not a bad episode. Futurama tend, in my opinion, to have mostly great episodes with a spattering of OK episodes. This one fits in the latter. There were some great jokes, but the plot itself was not as funny as most episodes. I don't really care if the endings are rushed, sometimes those are the funniest.

A fun episode. Actually reminded me of one of the episodes of the original series -- one of them that was mildly amusing, but not really stand out. Before I start, let me just say that I had every reason to assume this episode would be bad. It's following two bad episodes in a row, and it's written by Michael Rowe, one of my least favorite writers. But hey, Josh Wienstien, who I also didn't like, produced a great episode this season, and often, when I predict doom for a Futurama episode based off evidence like this, it pulls through. Will I be proven wrong this time?

Nope.

This episode did have some good artwork, making it watchable, but the writing was TERRIBLE. I think I laughed once, at the very beginning. After that, I was just so bored. The Butterfly Derby was a STUPID idea, and both plot twists at the ending were predictable and dumb. There's very little to like about this episode. If the next episode, a Ken Keeler one sucks, I might as well give up on the show. I'm already getting a bit close.

Great episode with a rushed, but funny, ending!

"he's even more beautiful now!" was the best joke in the episode!
