Not as clever as last season's concept episode, but not overly bad either.

This episode is pretty ok to close close out the first half of the season. I loved the jokes, and I have to admit: The characters did look kind of cute as animals(inb4waltla ... utecomment). If Futurama does get cancelled next year. Futurama fans will want to prepare for the end.

I also learned something:

Writers: Edge out some good episodes to prevent end of shoe and make Season 8.

Me(Possibly all Futurama fans): Watch Netflix or DVDs from Futurama.

I feel this episode deserves a 6/10.

I will be surprised if everyone thinks this is worse than "31st Century Fox".

Well, I liked the episode. It was hilarious, and a good story to each segment. Some things did feel unnecessary though, and made me give an overall 4/5

It had some laughs but was overall forgetable.

Phil Lamarr's narration is what got the biggest laughs.

Act one was okay, act two was pretty dumb, and act three was overall the funny one.

A 3/5.

Quite the clever episode, a lot better than I was expecting. Though I'm disturbed by the lack of Nibbler throughout the whole season. Another 4.5/5 for me.

These end-of-half-season vignette episodes are starting to outstay their welcome. "Holiday Spectacular" was horrible, "Reincarnation" was brilliant, and this was somewhere in-between those two. The nature concept is fun but too thin to make 3 satisfying segments (fish and seal segments were good, tortoise one was a total bore) and probably would have better served as a single segment in a broader trilogy of vignettes. Plus the story always takes a backseat in these, so they're more humor-dependent than usual. The seal story certainly delivered in that humor department (couldn't stop laughing at Zoidberg), but it wasn't enough to carry the full episode.

All in all, an average end to an average season that was a little disappointing but certainly watchable. Still, I wouldn't mind pulling the plug again after 2013's half of the season. Best to kill a show when it's on a decline rather than wait until it's total trash.

Plop those roundies! Act 1. Brilliant!!!

Talk about a cloaca shrinker! Let's Go Alreeaaadyyy! Act 2. Brilliant with the best ending ever!

"Beach master" I'm 40% ass, arf arf! Kill all penguins!

This is only the second 5 I gave all season. Loved it!

Seriously, this was surprisingly funny and well-written considering what a potentially lazy idea the episode may have come across as. All three of them delivered on the laughs, though it might slant toward those that are familiar with ecology and zoology.

Sure, all three of them deal with mating but really, it's the ultimate goal of the entire animal kingdom. It also tied in with the amusingly nihilistic narrator.

Parts of this episode felt a little forced, as most have this season, but the pacing and many of the gags worked in it for me. Nice touches of creativity on multiple different levels. I enjoyed it.

I'm not gonna lie, when I first heard about this episode I had no hope for it whatsoever. But I was actually surprised. It ended up being not too bad.
I liked the reimagining of the crew into different animals, and the stories weren't too bad. I enjoyed the mock Morgan Freeman commentary, but I don't think they needed to end each segment with a depressing word from the narrator. That was the only thing that blew the episode for me. Other than that I thought it was funny, though I would prefer having a proper season finale next time!

I found the third segment the nicest. It's almost like if Groening wants another cartoon, he can continue with the adventures of the elephant seals! Very fitting for DiMaggio to play the beach master!

I knew this episode was either going to be pure mad-genius or pure-craptacular schlock. I really liked it in the end. I'm not sure if that really countas as "Science Fiction", so it might be straying a bit from the premise, but what the heck. It was fun and original. Favorite joke: Hyperactive finches. : )

Pretty good. I thought the first one was the best, with the best story and some great one liners. Yes, that's literally all I say when Zapp is involved.
The second one was the worst for me. I just didn't find it very funny or interesting.
The third one was the funniest by far. It seems to have grossed a lot of people out, but seeing Kif squished was hilarious to me. And overall, the narrator really helped carry this episode. It would have been way worse without him.

I liked this one very much. A little uneven as IMO the third act didn't live up to the first two, but that's a minor qualm. As I can't rate the episode 4.5, I may as well round that up to a 5.

Had the potential to suck very much, but it didn't. It was actually quite good.

Good enough way to finish up the season, but I don't get this new trend with finishing each half season with a non canonical three parter. Is it really necessary? Not really, but at least this one worked.

Great season, and this episode was no different. It was really funny, although, for me, the best of the season was the one with bender's kid.

I wish in the future they bring back the what if machine, and have something like "what if leela travelled to the past, instead of fry to the future", "what if mom died, and the professor inherited her company", "what if zoidberg was the company owner"

seriouslly, one of the only episodes this year that show a bit of the brilliance that uilt on SCIENCE/and or MATHS + COMEDY + SOCIAL ISSUES. This had half of the futurama equation and it worked! Other episodes have forgotten this simple equation have suffered, sorry caused us fans to suffer. Futurama was never meant for young children or early teens but young adults plus.

Am I the only one who loved this episode? Can't be surely. I loved the animation and the setup. The Morgan Freeman impersonation was spot on and it was well written and executed. I'm really loving these novelty episodes at the mid-season break and I'm glad it wasn't another Christmas episode. Imagine they did the infinitely secret crossover crisis next season. Future of Omricon... hahaha.... this was based on 1970's wildlife documentries. Funny as hell if you understood what the episode was based on. Bah! and people gave it lows scores, you're just not into pop culture references 'enough' to truely get futurama.

This episode really gave me a lot of nostalgia. It reminded me of myself when I was young and watching the Animal Documentary TV Series "Survival". The first segment was the best because of its focus on Fry & Leela once again and it was an obvious choice to put Zoidberg as the carnivore. I also loved seeing Lrrr [Brrr] and Ndnd as Bears and almost eating Fry, but he drops Fry and he mates with Leela.

The 2nd segment felt a little boring in places, but also had good jokes such as Fry's great-great-great-grandson and the Professor not realizing that was a rock. And I also liked Walt, Larry & Igner getting crushed by the rock in the end because of Mom & Farnsworth's irresponsibility!

The last segment was probably the most hilarious one in terms of comedy. Bender here is portrayed as the Beachmaster and doesn't let anyone touch his woman slaves. Quotes such as "I'm 40% ass! *seal noises* had me in stitches and I loved the fight between him and Kif trying to win Amy over!

This was a very enjoyable mockumentary episode; obviously not perfect, but it felt original and didn't feel like a cheap parody of a TV series I enjoyed so much during my childhood. One thing I only felt indifferent towards was that all of the segments were about mating so it felt a bit repetitive, but due to the nostalgia, I'll let it slide. A nice way to end the 2012 cour.

Naturama Segments Rated:
The Salmon - 8/10
The Pinta Island Tortoise - 6/10
The Elephant Seal - 7/10

Overall - 7/10
