A really well done episode, full of Futurama's trademark quirky humor, such as the speed buggy cameo, and heavy sci-fi concepts. This seasons off to a good start.

I thought this one was just okay... the Prof. had some good lines and it had some fun ship chases. But that was about it. The 2-d stuff seemed crappy to me.

A 3/5 overall.

Honestly, I expected better. The 2D segment was lame, and the episode felt rushed overall. Not a great start to the new season.

This reminded me of the last mid-season premiere, "Neutopia", in that it had a great gimmick that was unfortunately saved until the final 4 minutes of the episode, while the first 2 acts were just boring filler and pointless set-up. And I really disliked the street racing characters. Had the 2nd dimension been introduced earlier, they could've gotten really creative. Instead, the episode ended right when it finally got good.

Stunning animation and solid jokes throughout. The 2D dimension was pretty lame though; it honestly felt quite tacked on, especially since they didn't even seem to be in much of a problem because of how easily they left it.

The first two acts more than make up for it though.

Dug it. The 2D plot and the street racing plot came together in a strange way, but they mostly felt largely disconnected. Both plots were good though so I didn't care much

Great animation. So-so plot. Not nearly enough laughs.

It was fun to see Farnsworth taking on a different personality for a while. But the "verbal abuse" gag wasn't funny the first time, let alone the fifth or sixth. It dragged out way too long.

I enjoy great animation and plot development, but I tune into the show hoping to laugh a lot. This was pretty disappointing for a season premiere.

Well overall I thought it was a great episode. Lots of fun, and Professor-Heavy.

However, what was even funny about this 'verbal abuse' gag even in the first place? Let alone the many other times she said it. That's a contender for the crappest joke in Futurama ever.

Was she voiced by Lauren Tom btw?

Overall though, a fun episode. Despite it's flaws, I gave it a 5.

Really awful. The street racing characters were pathetic. The verbal abuse girl was pointless. The 2D stuff had potential, but wasn't very good. I'm happy that this is the last season, because the episodes are keep getting worse.

Not the greatest episode out there, but a pretty funny one so I feel lenient.

The A plot of this one is probably funnier to those familiar with a lot of street racing and roadie cliches. Also, the 2-D world seemed condensed for time as I felt there was more that could have been done with it.

Ending was a bit rushed, but the story was great and so were the jokes. It reminded me of that 4th dimensional space whale episode. If this episode had them explore the 2nd dimension a bit more or a better ending this would've been a 5!

This episode was OK by my standards, but I feel the next episode made up for it. The first act's comedy felt pretty meh, and they really beat that Fast and Furious' family troubles joke into the ground. On the nerdy side of things, the jokes about the Mobius (drag)Strip were entertaining (See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobius_strip) and the stuff about the multidimensional travel were great. I also enjoyed the reference to Flatland (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatland).
However, the 2-D section itself felt gimmicky and rushed.

6/10 for nerds
5/10 for everyone else

The 2D stuff had some potential, but that's about it. The street racing segment, along with its buildup and surroundings, was bad. Unspoken verbal abuse was horrid, a contender for the worst gag in the series actually.

Moments of past greatness, but overall too dumbed down. Futurama, stop trying to be braindead, this shouldn't be your domain.

Call me crazy, but I loved this episode. The animation was absolutely fantastic, and the story was well written and executed. When the beginning had the spinning 3D shot of the ship, I just knew it was going to be good.
I don't know. I just found this episode to be funny and clever, with an awesome sci-fi element. The 2D segment was one of their best yet, and I'd rank it at a level with Naturama.
Need I even mention the visuals? The entire episode was solid, without a single letdown. The opening racing scene, the rainbow star and accompanying planets, Speed Racer, Mobis race, 2D, 2D to 3D transition, the closing shot.

10/10 for me. Also, I already accept your dissidence and humbly disagree with your quarrel.

This episode was terrible. What happened to the characters on this show? They used to seem like zany people and now they're just cardboard cut outs that spew stupid jokes and take on whatever traits the plot needs. I miss the days when Futurama had clever jokes without the need to be obvious and lame. Oh well, we'll always have the classic episodes...

Another great opener! It's always interesting how they start with one great one and then one of the weaker of the season.

This was *definitely* the better of the two new episodes. I loved the 2-D section, which was fresh and interseting, and I always love when Futurama plays with dimensions, perspective, animation gags. Fantastic.

Great start to, let's hope, not the final season!

I actually enjoyed this one. Really nice visuals, an enjoyable enough story, and the crew actually made a delivery (and without Hermes, Zoidberg and Amy tagging along - hooray! It never made sense having those characters join on deliveries when they by all rights should have better things to be doing.). Overall a good episode. Nothing special, but enjoyable nonetheless.

The Professor's street racing team were bizarre characters though; the girl going on about her "father's verbal abuse" all the time just made no sense. I guess it was supposed to parody the backstories often shown in these movies with "street" characters, but it was still pretty bizarre.

I'm giving it a 4.

This is a great episode to start things off!!! Why are there haters on here? It's hard to believe there's a small penis joke about a writer. I assume TV is all this person has in their life so it makes it all way too important. Hopefully the reviewer is still young and will grow up a little and get a girlfriend someday -- or at least he'll find friends and get to go outside and play. Or at least I hope he figures out that TV is not real.

Dumb, boring, and lazy. Not necessarily in that order.

Since Comedy Central picked up Futurama our characters have degenerated into cardboard cutouts that take on whatever traits the plot needs (the professor becoming a fast and furious racer in this case).

The creators seem to have a short memory (or are running out of ideas) since they ripped off the 2D gag from "Beast with a Billion Backs".

Weird how this one is so split -- people love it -- some hate it. Maybe it's the adult theme with the girl who was verbally abused. If you're a kid, you're not going to know what that means. I wanted to watch each episode 3-4 times before leaving reviews this season, especially since so many trolls seem to be hovering the forums this season. Been watching Futurama since 1999 and sad to see it go but about time as the series has been going downhill!

A decent episode with some good one liners. The first and second acts were wonderful but the third was a bit dry. And even though I get the whole "verbally abusive father" thing, it was really annoying and did not add anything to the episode. An average episode at best.

FUCK YEAH!

One of Futurama's most exhilarating and adrenaline-pumping episodes thus far. You feel the need for speed! Absolutely loved the usage of "Highway Star" as Deep Purple are of my favorite bands of all time and this song especially fits the atmosphere.

Really creative 3rd act, the animation of the 2-D world felt interesting. Michael Rowe's best episode so far for sure, and a huge improvement over the bland Leadbelly episode.
