Aaand they're back! first great episode of the season, they did a good job of having an original story with the creative spirit of the earlier seasons that didn't tread old material

Classic Futurama! Just a really, really funny episode. I really liked the friendship between Fry and Jrr. Although there were lots of silly gags with them, it was sweet!

This episode had a stoned Prof. kiss Bender.

Best episode ever!

An entertaining episode that was slightly light on jokes but had a good plot overall. The B-Plot with Bender convincing everyone that Fry was working hard was utterly fantastic.

Not the most memorable episode, but there's not much to complain about here!

I preferred the first half, which had some great jokes. The second half had some good stuff, but the episode had an odd fixation on scatological humor that I personally didn't enjoy as much. The Bender scenes were great though.

I noticed some odd technical stuff like how Earth could embargo television waves sent 1000 years ago and why the answering machine in Fry's apartment looked like 20th Century technology.

First great episode of this final run. Unlike last week's episodes, it had laughs, and Jrrr was a surprisingly enjoyable new character. Hell, this was probably the best use of the Omicronians since Season 3. E.T. parodies have been done to death, but there was enough of a fresh take on it here. I got soured on that "candy poop" joke, since it wasn't funny the first time (much less the 5th time), but they made up for it with plenty of other great jokes.

This is the greatest episode of 7B so far. Especially the part when The Professor is high. The turd part seemed unneeded. Still, hilarious jokes and references.

Actually the poop joke works because remember we were eating Omacronians in Problem with Poplers. So their bodies taste like fried prons and their crap tastes like candy. Dinner and desert.

Pretty good stuff! Loved the plot, and there were a few legitimate LOLs. We're 2 for 3 so far this young season.

The only problem I have is that I've been to Gary, Indiana. And hardly ever was my head torn off by a giant lizard.

An okay episode with some decent jokes and great animation. I found Bender's side-plot more enjoyable than Fry getting stranded on Omicron Persei 8, but overall the episode was solid enough.

Wonderful reverse story of 'ET'.
LRRR's son was a good new character. Fry eating his 'candy' was LMAO funny!
And the bicycles powered by Love was cute.
LRRR: "You're not loving hard enough, men!" Classic!

Great episode and finally some E.T. gags! Lots of funny jokes, and a clever premise. Some things seemed a little forced, like the invasion, and the turd joke was played out after the initial reveal.

All in all a solid episode.

Futurama finally did a pot episode! It's about time, as all of the viewers of this show are stoners who can't find the remote; b/c they smoked it!

A 5/5!

There were parts of this that were very funny, and the attention to detail in matching E.T. in some scenes was very nicely done. Bender's use of the answering machine was good, even if the presence of the answering machine itself didn't make any sense. The adults-only pancake house seemed like somewhere Fry and Leela would go on a date, and it's nice to see the writers showing them just having a normal relationship in the background of the show. However, I was very disappointed that after at least three past episodes with direct contact between Fry and Lrrr (Spanish Fry, Popplers, and Lrreconcilable Ndndifferences, plus ones with less direct contact) it was as if none of them had ever seen each other before. Since I am pretty sure that Jrrr WAS the talking poppler in the Popplers episode, it seems that something could have been done with that--be it as a major plot point or a minor joke. (If there was, it's hidden well.) Like one of the earlier reviewers, I was also bothered by the technology/physics issues--this would be less of a problem if those very issues had not been plot points in earlier episodes. Not like it's a bad episode, it just seemed like there were some missed opportunities.

LRRR is one of my fave side-line characters, along with Zapp and Calculon... This ep was fantastic!

This series still seems pretty fresh to me, whereas the Simpsons lately seems as 'fresh' as Fry's truckstop egg salad sandwich!

It's about time Futurama did a spoof of E.T. Even if many other shows and movies have done this, Futurama was tailor-made for it, so I'm glad the series didn't end without one. "Love harder, men!" There were moments that were cute without being at all sentimental and definitely not sappy.

Plenty of gags kept it going nicely, especially Hermes' fixation with weed and Bender's entire subplot. The glowing butts touching instead of glowing fingers was vintage Futurama.

You have to love the Creators for hanging on to Jrrr, that one Poppler that got away, & bringing him back after 12 years for another pass :) Sad to see Futurama ending. There'd still be much humor found in Jrrr, Cubert & Dwight interacting more. And Dr Z. - sweeping the "Line of the ep" award once more :) All in all great episode, instant classic!

What's wrong with you, Americans? This is good, fun episode? Eating poop and "weed" jokes, one even worse. Plot was also very, very weak. I have seen E.T., yes. All three last episodes was totally flat and boring. I was at hope this show ends with dignity.

I am one of very few Futurama fan from Finland and watched all episodes, at least twice.

Overall I bet Weinstein will look back on this episode with bit of morose.
It could have been less goofy and crass and more classic, oh well.
All the weed and poop jokes didn't land for some viewers.

I did enjoy the Bender subplot with Fry being MIA and him covering, and then giving into guilt after a week.

3/5.

Twisted tale complete with ET skulls and merit badges for planetary invasion. Nice to Lrrr being such a "devoted dad" as well. This parody of ET works on every level in that the jokes were hysterical, the sight gags wild and the sub-plot with Bender trying to cover up Fry's disappearance was great though he could have had access to better technology in which to simulate Fry's voice better. Five out of five on this one. Will Future incarnations of the F-show be able to top this? We will see..for sure.

I thought this episode was pretty bad from start to finish. It is too bad as Lrr works well as a secondary character but when episodes revolve around him and his species the episodes fall flat. A very poor take on ET. 2 out of 5 is generous on this one.
