Decent episode, the part where it copy the magical bean story annoyed me since i think they use way too much already existing story to parody them and slap some cheap sentence on it. i liked the end because it had authenticity and the unicorn was funny.

Finally a good episode. Not the best Futurama ever, still there's something that I can consider a story with a bit of meaning, adventure and the characters seems more what they used to be.

This episode was cute, I loved the Batman and Robin reference, the swing with Leela and Fry at the end. Finally a great episode.
This is the best episode in Season 7B, so far. I know that next week is going to be a tearjerker.

It started really lame, but a few of the later jokes were redeeming. I got a kick out of Bender riding down the stairs on the chair lift.

A very solid and fun episode that pushed the character envelope.

Leela still has some surprises up her sleeveless tanktop, and Fry was really sweet to 'Stand by his Woman' no matter what...

Loved the MOMSANTO reference, 1960's Batman 'Old Chum' bit, etc.

Good one liners, a solid story but not the flow I expect for 5 stars.

There were so many laughs to be had during this episode and I always love seeing Fry stand up for Leela and declare his undying love for her, both of which this episode had in abundance. Definitely a favorite of mine so far and one I can't wait to view again to catch everything I missed.

One of this season's finest episodes! I loved squid Leela and Fry's unconditional love for her.
Also again great Futurama timing with genetic beans, now that lab made edible genetic beef is in the media.

This was a great episode. They could have gone with the predictable route and had Fry be all grossed out by the squidification, but they actually kept him realistically in-character. There were a lot of small nice touches, like Bender complaining that they were supposed to be escaping and Leela stealing office supplies.

Still a touch too much stupidity but definitely one of the better episodes this season.

Oh and what's up with ripping off a recent movie that ripped off a classic story?

Decent and consistent pace, a number of well-crafted humorous lines in there; this one was much closer to what makes Futurama fun to watch for me, unlike many of the other flat episodes this season.

Some great lines in this episode:

"We didn't grow up together!" and what I thought was going to be the proposal to the promised Fry/Leela wedding.

Not the best, but definately not the worst episode. Started a bit sudden, with the cowboy stuff, then a decent continuation, and a rushed few seconds at the end.

Liked Bender on the stairway chair, Leela stealing office supplies, cameo of Adam and Burt (I do have the DVD 'Return to the Batcave'!!) and another cameo of ... erm... who are these characters? (checking the Infosphere - it's Finn & Jake???). Oh well, fun fun fun.

This episode was all the things I like about futurama - smart, funny and a bit creepy and kooky! The whole Fry as Jack part made me laugh out loud..."ahhh, so they're MAGIC beans, that explains it"...classic! I also liked the fact that the writers didn't push one way or the other regarding GMO, we're told genetic modification could potentially feed the starving and cure disease, but is also inherently very risky. The only thing disappointing about Leela and the Beanstalk was the ending, which seemed kinda lazy. I know they always have to wrap things up neatly by the end, but Squid-Leela was cool imo they shoulda kept her like that for 1 more episode.

Holy crap! I was all set to give this one around a 5 at the half way point, but that second half is probably the most I've laughed at Futurama this season, and that includes 7a. Pretty much everything hit when Fry and Bender reached the castle onwards, and I agree with others that Bender's "I keep telling you, we didn't grow up together!" was fucking brilliant.

The worst part of this episode was Leela's "this situation deteriorated fast" line. It was so obviously meant to be a gif/video reaction. It made me cringe.

Clever writing, good use of side characters, funny references and a touching story. This episode had it all. Easily the best of the season thus far and one that makes me all the more sad that the show is coming to an end. Let's hope it's not for good.

I honestly regret giving a "2" to "Assie Come Home", but I feel like here it's more deserved. Jack and the Beanstalk is one of the most parodied stories of all time, and unfortunately, Futurama fails to do anything truly clever with it. Instead we get a joke-free episode with a really half-assed message and a poor send-off to what will likely be Mom and her kids' final appearance on the show. I mean, Mom episodes have never been the best, but this was just extremely boring and ended in a bunch of lazy exposition.

At first, the Beanstalk parody didn't seem like it would work, but as it went on, it really did. I liked how Mom acted in this episode, showing that she's not all bad (although more slapping of Walt, Igner and Larry and much more swearing was needed). The jokes were alright in this one, but no laugh-out-loud ones. However, I did like the callback to Calculon 2.0 when Bender said that he knows what Fry was doing in the Bathtub, because he was there. As for the story, I like how it sort of explained how Leela's mom originally had no tentacles in season 2, then in season 4 she did. I also liked how the ending was pretty fast, but didn't seem to rush it.

And of course I'm always very happy to see Mom and her three sons.

Leela doesn't deserve to be singled out by herself. This episode never should've seen the light of day. This one seeing Leela turn into some kind of squid monster was a real low blow. Instead of an episode where she triumphs in a blaze of glory the writers put her in a situation where she is vulnerable so she can get choked, cpatured, expiremented on, and tortured while Fry and Bender run around free. What happened to Leela in this looks like something that would've happened to Luigi or The Princess from Super Mario Bros. Putting a tough female character in a predicament like this where she can get kidnapped thinking it would make a funny story. And Fry stood up for her? Is it possible she was _that_ helpless? Well, it's NOT funny. You hear about stuff like this happening to real girls in the news, and is that funny? It should've been another Bender and Hermes adventure. Leela deserves to be a hero, not a victim. This sort of thing should _never_ happen to her. It's fine when she's captured along with other characters.
