This made me mad considering the series was amazing I expect the same quality. But it sucked, we never got to see fry and leela get married with real people. I wish for more episodes that dosent leave me up set. Comedy Central Do better!

I don't like how the fry-leela love story has engulfed the entire show. You're closing out the show. Take a little more time writing it.

Comedy Central did begin the ruin of this show by cutting out more and more of the best jokes.

Well, it definitely wasn't the best "series finale" episode out of the group, but it was still pretty decent. I really liked the ending this time around. It was really heartwarming to see how far Fry and Leela have came since episode 1. I would probably give this a 4, but it needs a better score than what it has right now.

They say all good things must come to an end, and as sad as it is, Futurama is no exception. As much as I would love to see it continued, this truly was the best possible ending the show could have. The jokes were sharp, the Sci-Fi concepts were brilliant, and the ending gave the series a great sense of closure without really ending it, but rather beginning it again. All in all, this is not just a terrific finale, but one of my favorite episodes as of now. This episode NEEDS to win an emmy or something! But all of my praise aside, this was a solid conclusion to a terrific series. Rest in Peace, Futurama.

Seriously? So they're just going to keep replaying the same scenario over and over again for all eternity, since the Professor won't know not to make the button? Sorry, average at best. The Devil's Hands was a much better finale. Of course, it depressed me that the "real" Leela lived her whole life alone anyway, even though The Late Phillip J Fry is one of my all time favorite episodes.

The final act was everything long-time fans wanted - Fry and Leela's marriage, their (sort of) future, and a sweet and touching send-off to the couple. It purposely left some loose ends, but a Futurama finale (yeah, there's been a few now haha) isn't complete without leaving fans speculating away.

But this wasn't quite a perfect finale. It ate up too much time getting to the time freeze, and the bit with Fry falling seemed like it went on forever. And I would like to have given the rest of the crew more of a final bow. Still, it hit most of the right notes where it counted most. "Overclockwise" was a good episode, but wouldn't have been a good finale. This feels more fitting. It's sweet and purposely open-ended, because hey, Futurama's been canceled enough times that no one knows what the future holds.

I'll miss this show dearly, but I also think this is a great place to end it for good. This latest season's had as many good episodes as bad episodes, and the last thing I want is for Futurama to become more bad than good. But you can bet damn well that I'll be rewatching the DVD's for years to come. Thanks for a wild 15 years.

NOTE: SPOILERS!

The biggest "surprise" in this episode was how it ended, and I admit that, at first, I was a little taken aback by it. But, the fact that Fry and Leela choose to go back in time didn't seem to me, at first, to be the "right" ending. At first, I thought that they should have said "no, we have a lifetime of memories, and we wish to live out our days with them" (only said more eloquently, obviously.)
But, then I realized that this ending was the perfect ending for the series, on so many levels. Fry and Leela can go back and hit the reset button, even though they already lived their lives (metaphoric for the entire series, perhaps, which rebooted with the movies that completely mucked with everything that came before them?). And, the fact that Fry and Leela choose to go back means that they're trading the memories of their happy lives for the chance to do it again, with friends. It doesn't mean that it never happened, and as a viewer we get to truly appreciate this, that they were able to spend their entire lives together but alone, and now they have a chance to go back and spend their entire lives together and with their friends, their Futurama family.
It concludes the relationship that has been developing between Fry and Leela since the first episode, and represents the finality to which it was so beautifully segued in the original series finale. It uses the very basis of the series, a form of time travel, to help accomplish this goal. It allows for viewers to have closure for the series while still allowing the Futurama universe to continue on without definitive finality. And it did so without the writers knowing, at the time, that this would be the series finale (they had a hunch, but still had to leave the door open just in case. And, as an aside, a much "lamer" ending would have been if the professor sent Fry back to 1999 and the entire series never happened. Perhaps it would've seemed "more perfect" that way to some, because that would be another way for it to come full circle, but that would've destroyed the emotional connection that fans and viewers had toward the series (in the same way that Dallas disappointed fans decades ago with the "Who shot J.R.....oh, it was all just a dream" plot)).
It is very hard to match the expectations that come with hype, and even moreso when the expectations are tied to the end of something that many people truly loved. I think that this episode met those expectations, not only upon initial viewing, but even moreso upon reflection of it. :-)

After a season filled with disappointment it was nice to have an episode that took advantage of the show's premise and was entertaining at the same time.

This wasn't perfect though, the instances of cartoon gore really annoyed me though and soured the episode a bit. The ending felt extremely abrupt. "Devil's Hands" felt more substantial and that ending felt more touching but this episode works too. They really should have made this episode an hour long or a two parter and dumped one of the garbage episodes like "2D Blacktop".

I would say A-.

I thought the humor was good, Fry and Leela finally getting married was great, and watching the few minutes where they grew old together was really touching.

On the down side, they drew out the "Fry is falling" bit a little too long, and I was left unsatisfied with their decision to go back to the year 3000. It would've been a better ending if they had decided they'd led good lives together, and told the professor they weren't going back.

Great finale. Idea for the comeback farnasworht creates a paradox by getting bored of the reruns and thinks "I have a feeling weve done this before.... infact several times... like were stuck in a loop.... wait ive got it... I can stop us from going into rerun mode and resset the universe... now Fry... Leela into the anti aging machine so I can get you back to normal... Fry says but what about you professor... he says Oh pish posh im an old mad scientist and that's just the way I like it!!! A good series finale, for an excellent show. As a few others mentioned, it would have been nice if it was a one hour episode. It could have provided time for closure for other great characters like Bender, Amy, Scruffy and maybe Hattie McDoogal :)I also kinda wished they had decided to stay in the frozen-in-time universe with their memories. But all in all, I say bravo. Maybe not as great as some episodes, my faves are"Devils Hands","The Late Great PJF" and "Parasites Lost" but it was still a good heart warming episode. Sad that its over, I have "walking on sunshine" being played on the bagpipes stuck in my head. We love you Futurama!!!

This episode flew by for me. I suspect somebody was using the time skip device while I was watching it.

I'm satisfied with the conclusion, though as others have mentioned, it would have been nice to see more of the other characters for their send off; episode time constraints probably prevented that though. Unfortunately, the Looney Tunes style comedy reared its head yet again with Fry appearing as a pile of ground beef on the sidewalk, but everything else was smooth sailing. Clever jokes and a touching story, all without being over the top, allow this series to sign off on a very positive note.

Good stuff, sad to see if go, but it was a great run. See you in syndication and home video, Futurama.

Solid ep, but it started great and slowed down as it went on. The start on the moon with the "death of leela" was funny. The best part to me was watching Zoidberg and the empty pockets gag over and over again. The falling fromthe building gag went on way too long and as sweet as the Fry Leela life in a frozen universe was, it was still too slow and forced to me. Overall though, the end is done well to mark the end of the series (and to give the writers a fun time trying to write a out of this paradox if the need ever arises).

It was a great way to end the series! I would've liked to have seen more air time from the rest of the crew especially Bender, but they had a lot over this season. It was great to see Fry and Leela grow old together. It was a beautiful montage. I also think its very touching to see how much they've grown. When we first met Fry, he cheered that all his family and friends were dead, and Leela had no real friends, now they give up their wonderful life together, to go back to their friends. Honestly I think it was brilliant that they decided to go back and CC started airing the first episode after. They went full circle! Thanks for the great 15 years!

It was okay, but not great. Would have been better if it was an hour long. "Into the wild green yonder" was a better series finale. The best moment was the many deaths of Fry. The worst was the (pretty much)lack of any other character other then Leela or Fry.

While this episode wasn't perfect, I think it still deserves a five for its creative concept and sweet ending. It was actually even better than TDHAIP. This end involved much more of the cast and had a fun premise.

Regarding the "time loop" people keep mentioning: I don't think that was the point of the ending. The "reset button" was a way for the show to go back to the status quo of Fry and Leela's semi-relationship in 3013. Even though logically there would be a time loop, I think the intention was that time would keep on going for Fry, Leela, Bender, etc. beyond the final episode. They will just not remember or experience what occurred during the episode.

In all, while I have enjoyed the show for 13 years, I think (and it feels like the cast/crew think) that its time to stop. Keeping a story going on and on makes it lose the original charm it once had (Simpsons, anyone). They've made some spectacular entertainment, and I think that's how they should end the series.

So that was it, the grand finale. I personally would have liked it better if Fry and Leela would not have traveled back in time. But yes, the creators had to leave a back door open. Although the series is now stuck in an eternal Timeloop, it was nice to see that Fry and Leela have become happily old together in the end, even if the future is less clear than ever.

On it's own, this may not be the best episode ever, but in my mind it was the perfect denouement to the series. Literally could not have been better.

First off, the amount of fan service in this episode is ridiculous. Now, that doesn't make a great episode, but reminding us what made the show great is a must for a good finale.

Second, that they managed to extract another episodes worth of jokes and plot twists from time travel is kind of amazing, given how well they've trod this ground in the past. Fry's watch "malfunction" was brilliant.

But the most important thing about this episode is that it wasn't about Fry's devotion to Leela. The closest they've come to this level of equality of emotion before was in "Fun on a Bun". But the "relationship" episodes have been almost exclusively about Fry (Time keeps on slipping, parasites lost, love and rocket, the sting, the devils hands are idle playthings, Bender's big score, the late Philip j. Fry, a farewell to arms). Ending it this way is perfect.

Clearly you can't make everyone happy, but all I can say is HOLY CRAP, THAT WAS A GOOD EPISODE! It had lots of blood and guts and heartfelt romance. And seriously, isn't that what relationships are really all about? To those who say that Fry's fall was too long, I say it was just long enough for him to get tired and allow the plot to move on. Also, the repetition was funny as hell (robot hell). But as Matt and David said way back at the start, all good science fiction stories have a bigger story that unfolds along the way, as was the case in all the best episodes. They may not have gone from the end back to the very start (which would have been the ultimate wrap-up), but as the credits ran, I laughed and had a sense of great satisfaction for sticking with it these past 13 years. To be honest, I even pissed off a horny girlfriend once and missed out on sex because I wanted to watch Futurama first. Meh... her loss.

I am surprised that there were any people at all who did not give this episode a 5. A great season finale, a great series finale (hopefully not!) and easily a top 10 episode with many old school weird Futurama jokes and nice typical Futurama like moments.

The story may have left the crew's story hanging but this show was always centered about Fry and her love towards Leela so it's only natural that they focused on that.

Does anyone else feel like that time-travel episodes end up being the best usually? =)

A moving, poignant episode and one to leave off on as Futurama enters another "hiatus". I'm certain it will return in one variation or another. Groening, Cohen and company have repeatedly been tenacious and resourceful enough over the years (though fan support was a must) to reincarnate the F-show on two separate occasions. Anyway, regarding the last episode, there isn't really a "total" time loop involved. Fry, Leela and the Professor will just go back in time prior to the point in which Farnsworth conceived the time-button gizmo. In that event, Fry and Leela will still be in love just as they were this season. They will forget their lives growing old on the quiet earth but they are fated to live happy lives together and they will do so as new episodes or movies become a reality. Fan support will be there so everyone await the next phase of Futurama.

This was the perfect way to end the show. Amazing from start to finish and truly one of the best episodes of the second run, if not the whole width of Futurama's lives. They are ending it at the right time, while it is in another peak, which is far better than letting it drag on into dull mediocrity like most of its peers. I don't know where to begin with this review, since after all the hiccups this show has had, it feels a bit surreal to actually bring myself to believe it's really over.
I'm thankful for all the fun I've had watching this show, and this episode was a more than appropriate ending which kept the overall tone of the show without denying us some good fanservice.
Sure, it could go on from here, and there's been the usual rumors that this isn't the end yet, but for the first time I am completely satisfied with the "final" episode of Futurama. I know many have a huge nostalgia for the older seasons, and how could we not after this 15-year (and more or less 7 seasons) rollercoaster?
I grew up with this show and I might have come to expect more of it than it originally was, so I'm amazed that despite the rose-tinted glasses with which I see the older seasons the writers still managed to produce new, wonderful stuff that broke through all my skepticism. This is a good ending, it feels so perfectly conclusive and mature. Fry and Leela got a chance to grow up with us, and as their story had always been the fuel of the greater narrative it finally found a wonderful (open-ended) conclusion.
I don't think there's anything more I can ask of this show, and I'm not sure I would want more. This is it, it's good, it's beautiful, it's over.

I already knew it was the Professor flashing through the sky, but hey. Also clever ending: they got married but ... if it's ever to be resurrected for a 3rd time, they can just continue where they left off: young, unmarried and not remembering what happened.

I'd say '6 seasons and a movie', but that has already been done :)

I have hated the Fry and Leela love story from the very beginning and it only got worse during the second run of the series. It was a labored attempt at a love story that never felt genuine. It turned Fry into this sniveling, whining little wuss, and Leela never seemed to love Fry at all, coming off as completely indifferent to the whole concept... and yet, the writer's just kept thrusting it on the viewers.

It was actually not surprising to me that they ended the show on this note, but they didn't even do a good job with it. Completely boring and unfunny.

First half was full of great laughs. Second half felt a bit forced with the feels.

Great episode! The series had to end with a Fry and Leela story. Those who have complained about that just don't get it. It was a nice ending, but also allowed for another resurrection of the show (please, someone, anyone, please!).

Excelent episode.

Just one thing I miss in it: Nibbler. I thought the light they see that urns out to be the prof, would be nibbler or one of the nibblerians :(

The Fry 10sec-loop was fun and crazy, liked it. The moment pause universe life was sooo great.
Who cares about Fry and leela not getting married in front of the liviing non-paused crew, when they spend and have a whole paused-life for them in this episode? Not me.

I hope this is not the end, but just a "see you later". But I'm preapred for the worst. Thanks Futurama.

A fitting end to an epic television show. My only regret is I can only give it a "5". The last five minutes is what can capture the spirit and heart of what Fry and Leela have meant to us 'shippers. No regrets, I'm glad to have experienced the awesomeness that was "Futurama". Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I honestly thought that this was a really good episode, but I am super sad to see this show go. My favorite, and lest favorite part (at the same time) was when the professor hit the time button right and the end. I like it because it shows that there is always a chance of the show coming back (even though it is a pretty small chance). I hate that part though because its like the last scene of futurama you ever MIGHT see. Do any of you think the show will return? I know david kohen has said that it definitely wont return but what do you guys think?

I really enjoyed this episode!! It was so sweet seeing mutual love between Fry and Leela. If a movie or more episodes were to exist after this, I hope there will be more scenes with them together, or a nice "official" conclusion. Perhaps getting married for real?

It was a cop-out. I hated that the timeline was negated. I would have been fine if Fry & Leela grew old together & leave it at that. It would have been better if everyone else was somehow involved, but having the whole thing just not existed sucked. Come on!!

Amazing final episode. Had everything I could want from it, a futuristic plot, an extension of Fry and Leela's relationship, lots of dark humor, and a touching end. One of my favorites, R.I.P. Futurama.
