In memory of Figueira Júnior
Sad news today. Figueira Júnior, the Brazilian voice actor who gave Philip J. Fry his voice in the Brazilian dub of Futurama, has passed away on June 27, 2026, following a cardiac arrest.

For many fans his voice was a part of their childhood. Beyond Fry, he is perhaps best remembered as the unforgettable Brazilian voice of Android 17 in Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super, bringing that calm confidence to the character, just as he brought humor and heart to Fry. Behind every iconic character is a voice that makes them unforgettable, and Figueira Júnior gave the Brazilian Futurama fans memories that will live on forever.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, colleagues, fans and the entire Brazilian dubbing community during this difficult time. Thank you for the memories, the emotion and the voice that will never be forgotten.
