I can't believe some people don't have a car! Even if they did n't they should have cheesed it.
luffySep 3rd 2005, 21:19
that sounds like a good issue.
katrinaSep 3rd 2005, 21:36
I dont care. If the american ppl would care more about environment and less about attackin other countries that wouldnt have happened.

just watch crimes of the hot...
KyleSep 3rd 2005, 21:39
What happened to the Sept. comic? Is that already out or was it delayed until November now?
SnrubSep 3rd 2005, 23:17
The September comic is #21 - this is #22 we are on about. I expect #21 will still be out this month
EddySep 4th 2005, 02:19
#4 Katrina, is it just coincidence that you are named Katrina? Also, how can you blame a country for a natural disaster? I would donate from Australia but I dont know how.. whatever its worth John Howard (Aussie PM) gave 10 million or someting I tink.
RichardSep 4th 2005, 02:25
#4 Katrina...what the heck are you talking about, this was a hurricane...
LeoDudeSep 4th 2005, 03:50
Apparently people are so desperate to blame stuff on the United States and the government that they accuse it of causing natural disasters...
DrZizzleSep 4th 2005, 16:45
My dad and I have been trying to donate some money at the red cross website, but it is too busy right now from everyone giving donations. It atleast makes me feel better that thousands of people are donating to this, instead of not caring. I might try doing it over the phone, and seeing if the lines aren't clogged.
BenderSep 5th 2005, 01:53
We can blame them for the disaster but how can you explain the big disaster there doing in Irak?

In your face?
eddySep 5th 2005, 10:24
Bender, that didnt make any sense. Its funny how this post about donating to less fortunate has sparked all thsi controversy
ROSESep 5th 2005, 12:22
The hurricane was really devestating for america and all but we are a ll supporting the all and everthing, but just one question.....Where was americas support when we had cyclone Tracey????
BrianSep 5th 2005, 12:59
why do you delete my posts?
WargSep 5th 2005, 17:48
It's a 'semi-natural' disaster.
It's this bad because of the greenhouse effect. Let's hope that this terrible disaster changed a view minds about wasting energy (though I wouldn't bet on it, the guys in charge aren't the ones that were hit by the hurricane).
CujoSep 5th 2005, 21:28
I'm over in the UK and i think the vast majority underestimated the devist5ation that this could cause - It was on the news quite a bit but i dont think that anyone really expected it to be THIS bad.
harpetteSep 6th 2005, 05:37
Hmm those people need a hell of of lot of help, as well as the organizations who are tending to them, and here's my choice, for the moment:
See for yourself. That's the Baton Rouge Area Foundation (not new), and Baton Rouge is up the road from New Orleans, 70 miles or so NW. It is the capital of Louisiana and all of a sudden, was swamped with hundreds of thousands guests, we can easily imagine the mess it must be. Regardless of whether we think this disaster was deserved, it seems to me that we should, as decent human beings, part with some wealth. If all we do is bitch about it now, then we don't deserve the right to bitch later. Grow up, kiddo ! Incidentally, the poor in N.O. were really quite poor, as compared to other US cities.
harpetteSep 6th 2005, 06:36
Dude, the URL did not post ! Hmm Google it then. Well let's try a 2nd time: BRAF.org, at page25271.cfm
(bleh to the anti-spam mechanism)
EddySep 6th 2005, 08:27
ROSE! GOOD POINT!
wantFrywiththatSep 6th 2005, 16:46
If memory serves, Cyclone Tracey happened in 1974, right?
How is that a good point?
And Harpette, I agree, people need to stop placing blame. If every country "got what they deserved", then our planet would be run by cockroaches or some other animal because humans would be extinct.
TraceySep 6th 2005, 18:35
"then our planet would be run by cockroaches or some other animal because humans would be extinct. "

that will happen
tomisagothSep 6th 2005, 20:22
The Germans and Chinese are slowly taking over the world and when world war 3 starts (America v.s Germany) lets just hope America will be ready.
BenderSep 6th 2005, 21:30
That's the problem with American they more care about war than to their countrie

I prefer American, not America

cause Canada is in deep shit why? Cause United-States is under us. And Canada is a peacefull countrie
AliPSep 6th 2005, 22:25
World war 3 will not be started by germany they are to far behind on thecnloligy, since WW2 america has been spying on germany for these conserns about a new War starting so when anything suspicious happenns like a new hitler rising america secretly take's em out instatly, China however is another matter we need to nuke'm now before they attack us!
HmmSep 6th 2005, 23:16
This website has the lowest accumalative IQ in the known universe. Nothing wrong with the website, just the user have an assinine way of thinking.
BenderSep 6th 2005, 23:38
Why are you talking of War

American....
AliPSep 7th 2005, 04:16
Im not an american im from iceland and that other guy started the conv.
harpetteSep 7th 2005, 06:08
"Hmm", i agree with you, i am distressed by the stupidity i've been reading here. Futurama is a great cartoon made by really intelligen ... nsiderate/(etc) people, and i assumed that those who would bother to follow up to a dedicated web site be folks with some kinda something between the ears, such as a brain. Apparently we have a very mixed crowd which also includes juveniles, and bozos.
Kiddoes, let the grown-ups speak, keep quiet and pay attention.
Back to the topic, i heard today of a medical doctor whom i know here in Austin (Texas) who examined some of the refugees and who remarked that many of them apparently are not used to dealing with medical staff. Let's say it's "interesting".
Yes, in the US they just won't take care of their own people the way Europeans do with their social programs (i am french), but can you blame it on the destitute victims, most of whom were destitute beforehand ? For those who wish ill to the US, this disaster may end up having quite a few ramifications/consequences, i mean it ain't over yet, so there's little point in getting nasty about it, just play your part (kindly) and the rest will play itself out.
Best of luck to everyone, we may need it.
brianSep 7th 2005, 15:02
hehe, I did it again. I started a flamebait

wuwuwuuwuwuuwuuwuwwuuwuwuuw (runs away)
ScummbuddySep 7th 2005, 15:27
I can't believe that anyone would ever think that America will every go to war with Germany ever again. We're like best buds now.
------------

And, yeah for new Futurama Comics! I love getting new mini-episodes, but sometimes, I wonder why their plot lines are a bit, off. Like this one about Bender and being a fitness guru... come on, that's more like a Simpson's episode. Are they saving all their good space adventures for the proposed movies, or do they just have the same writers for the Simpson's comics as they do Futurama comics. And if so, I wonder if they have strict rules they can't go into, such as involving a romance with Fry and Leela, or bringing back the Brains, or any of the real storylines that have to do with the show, as if they are reserved for the show only. In that case, I think that only brings down the abilities of the Futurama Comics, although artists in that position should still be able to come up with something better than "OOoh! Let's make Bender a fitness Guru! That has everything to do with the 'Future'!" It's okay to make fun of things in our culture, like the millions of diets out there that ultimately hurt you, like Atkins, but I think I would perfer that for Simpsons, you know, so I don't watch/read it.
MexeSep 7th 2005, 16:40
I am american and we hate germans. my father always tells me how shitty germans are. I d go to war!
BrianSep 8th 2005, 03:26
Yeah I went an volutered for Hurricane relife. Also I would just want everyone to know that I am leaving on account of everyone feels its okay to pester me by stealing my name. You should have known it was coming.
One-TimeuserSep 8th 2005, 05:45
Just wanted to say in response to the "Americans don't take care of their people in the way Europeans"...while I know it wasn't flamebait the US actually does take care of the destitute...but primarily through action through citizens rather than governmental agencies. Now while government subsidized agencies doubtlessly distribute assets better, to say the US doesn't take care of its citizens is sort of silly with a lot of aid through private donations and volunteer work and such. Anyway, just my 2 cents as someone who oft disagrees with the actions of the US (permanent resident here) but still, stick to facts :-)
ChucklesSep 8th 2005, 21:43
PEOPLE!

Last time i checked this website was in the interest of Matt and Dave's excellent animation Futurama, but in responce to all previous posts

1)If you want someone to blame for the destruction of New Orleans, blame the French for founding the city in such a bloody stupid location in the first place

2) Because of the increse in Global warming, weather systems throughout the country are being screwed around, and that is how a hurrican can jump in magnitude during the time between Katrina's visit to Florida and Louisian

3) The less fortunate were the thousands of people in the Pasific who died in December, and while the rest of the world was donating like mad, Bush was keeping the purse strings held tight, at least now the money saved there will be on a good cause

4) During the last two world wars america was not ready first time wilson allowed hundreds of his own people to be killed and only mobilized after a telegrah was delivered suggesting Mexico should side Germany, the second time america did not join until several thousand service men were killed, even if there is a third (God Forbid) i doubt very much that america will be ready, and i also doubt that it will take place in Europe, as we are still trying to recover from the last two even after all this time
BenderSep 8th 2005, 23:30
Nobody are to blame so don't try to put the fault on the French. Wath is your problem with french
BrianSep 9th 2005, 00:42
the french eat too much cheese
HarpetteSep 9th 2005, 07:35
Stinky cheese rules ! The fouler the smell, the better it tastes, all French know that, but we can't explain why. American cheese knocks me to sleep, must be some allergy, i suspect it's way overprocessed to the point it's corrupt. Makes the folks fat too. it's crazy that we have to have good wholesome cheese shipped from overseas, when it could be made here just as well
HarpetteSep 9th 2005, 08:04
One-Timeuser: Yes in France you don't see people donate as much as you see in the US (that's just my perception, and i haven't been there in quite a while), as the French, with their heavy tax load, "have already given", as they say.
As to the facts, i already stated them. The poverty in N.O. is now for the world to see, it is the shame of such a wealthy nation, so, no, i don't think your "system" works all that well. The social programs in western Europe may come to a fail and shut down, who knows, but they have grown stronger ever since the mid 30s, if i'm not mistaken. i should think they are the envy of the world over (and here i swell with pride).
Oh, one more thing about social programs: they're a good setting to prevent violent crime. Priceless.
sdgSep 9th 2005, 10:00
Top story today, Bush luanches invasion on Katrina-stan.
scummbuddySep 9th 2005, 18:00
I'm just sorry to say that I would like a new futurama site. One with moderators who have nothing better to do than to babysit idiot forum posters and delete posts.

Okay, so I'm of course not mad at the creators of this site. They've done a phenmoenal job of creating such a great site that is extremely dedicated to one of the best TV shows ever, and then somehow it attracted 12 year olds.

What a sad community. No one can expect the (two?) people who run this site to constantly delete posts, but I would hate it if comments were forever disabled.

People, just grow up! And start talking futurama, and stop taking out your lack of futurama frustration on each other.

1. I hate the french we all do, with their stupid language and there eating habits. Now German is a language werth learning.
---------

2. Also there is a new Futurama site coming out called The Home of Futurama. At the moment its a mobile website with most of its pictures from the Futurama the game instruction manual (the book inside the Futurama the game case).
tomisagothSep 10th 2005, 18:06
Theres a New Zealand Futurama website called what Else? Futurama.
BrianSep 10th 2005, 19:40
and here my coming out

I AM GAY! (like most americans, french and germans I eat lil children too)
HarpetteSep 10th 2005, 19:41
AliP, re: your comment #42: "How's that going to help?"
when someone posts something as stupid as comment #22, or #24 (yours), or #31, or #45, then that someone might be told so, perchance it will help, and it's a shame that we even have to bother
HarpetteSep 10th 2005, 20:33
tomisagoth: about the French and their stupid eating habits, let me expound some french wisdom:
if you eat meat more than once a day, that's stupid
if you eat meat every day, that's stupid
if you eat meat for breakfast, that's obscene
Of course this is not meant to the Eskimos, or other people in physically stressful conditions
if you waste food, shame on you
Treat food with respect, and it'll respect you
Here in the US, surrounded by eating+defecating machines, many of those obese, wish you were here
BrianSep 11th 2005, 15:25
Okay Brian The Rip-Off.(OTher Brian) Just cause I said I was leaving does not mean I'm not gonna look at news and comment. I'm not posting is what I meant....but you forced me to the edge! I'm not a flamer! French and Germans are not all flamers. And I can't eat children...I am a child you freakin' idiot!

RandomObservationSep 12th 2005, 10:23
Hurricane Katrina is a really wierd name for a hurricane...
tomisagothSep 12th 2005, 18:56
Why should I what you say Harpette you vegetarian, its not like the french are any threat they could n't conquer a fly. Letaloan be the worlds super power.
humanhornSep 12th 2005, 18:56
Hurricanes begin with the letter A....Z as each season progresses. Then they give it a full name with the letter. So hurricane 'K', the 11th hurricane of the season, was arbitraily named, 'Katrina'.
LilTSep 13th 2005, 03:45

Olg nag here again. $1, $5 ? This is like throwing pennies at the beggar. Much more will be needed. i mean, how much do you spend on cigarettes, beer/booze, cookies, candies, ice-cream, soda pops, cake, music, comic strips, films, or dope ? C'mon ! However, i recommend one to do his homework to find out who to donate to. That's a lot of work searching and reading, it took me several days, i've got web browser windows opened all over the desktop, each full of tabs (mozilla, eh.). Personally, I thought the amount of votes to Futurama was very dissappointing. I thought way more people would vote Futurama after so many memories... and Seymore is on top of that list of memories! That was so sad! I would think many more people would vote and make it at least 75%. I would expect Futurama to get 90%. Who doesn't like the show? I voted, but I wonder how many votes they got. Couldn't be too much, since I think it is a weekly changed poll. Maybe Fox will notice the votes it got online in just a week in a poll- and after the movie start re-production of the series.
tomisagothSep 15th 2005, 17:20
I hate French too!

If the movie is going to be about the flying Brainspawn then they might have the Brainslugs killing the Brainspawn at the end.
scruffyspaSep 17th 2005, 23:17
during a 2001 episode of futurama the creaters/producers volountarily cut a section that could have upset people at the 11/9 (im english and refuse to use american dates) attacks, they were under no preassure from fox to do so. to read posts about wars and greenhouse effec is insane. there is no lonk between a huricane and polloution and no one is to blame for the sissastor. the us government is blamed cos most the people affected were quite poor and uninsured. please show as much respects as the creaters of this fine show
skinnyjoeSep 18th 2005, 16:23
no i am not going to stay on the fuckin topic i love futurama
tomisagothSep 18th 2005, 19:58
I think the show was cancelled because Fox's slogan was The fun begins at 8, and Futurama was on at 7:30, this annoyed the producers so they made it "dirty" this made the ratings go down in some places and that's why it was cancelled

Hey!!! these people have spent their precious time putting together this website for you people. You should not critisise them because they have gotten off their ass's and done this site for you to give you futurama news and you just sit there and do notthing and expect them to find more post's. That is low!
BrianSep 21st 2005, 04:20
There are plenty of Futurama news or dealing with futurama news they ahve not posted! Like Ms. Segal in that ABC family movie. Or Billy West comentaries on Ren and Stempy DVDs. Or at least that Kim Possible is cancelled, becasue Bender does the voice of Drakken. Also Scummbudy, the reason it attracted this 12 year old is I know how to use google and I love futurama!
StarriahSep 21st 2005, 21:00
Yeah Brian! That is true. I wish there was more news about the movie or other news with the stars. We should also have some news on this season of the season. I heard it was its last, along with King of the Hill. I don't want the Simpsons to end unless if it would bring back Futurama. Futurama still needs its run!
StarriahSep 21st 2005, 23:35
Oh, also there is another poll on Adult Swim's website. It's a cool one- you should like it. It's Futurama related, but it wasn't like the one a week before that I think I posted on this topic.

Not to be annoying, but is the movie a definite? I just want to know. I'm excited, but I'll lose it if it will be released more than 2 1/2 years from now. I can't be a shipper that long...
BrianSep 22nd 2005, 00:23
Starriah unfortunantley it's not completly confirmed. But Fox and the show stars have talked a bit about Futurama movie. Also I have some on stars! Acording to www . movietome . com , Billy West will be in the new movie Wallace and Gromit :Curse of the were-rabbit. He will voice the were-rabbit. acording to movietome. Thanks for the information, Brian! I personally like TV Tome better, until they changed it to TV dot com. I do like some of the new features they put into TV dot com, but they make a huge deal with news, celebrities, and popular shows that are duds. It was personal when they made the rankings by viewings instead of ratings. Futurama would be the no 1# TV show! So, oh well...

Brian, what seasons of Futurama do you have on DVD? And the article from daily interlake doesn't appear on Internet Explorer (I'm a Firefox User, but I use internet explorer so then Futurama won't appear in my history). I have season 1 and season 4 and I'm hoping to get the Family Guy movie and Futurama Robot Mainiac Fun. I'll definitely buy the Futurama movie when it comes out if I'm still interested in it.

nickmanSep 25th 2005, 07:32
from IGN Filmforce's interview with Billy West...

IGNFF: And what about the rumors of new Futurama adventures on the horizon?

WEST: Well, they're more than rumors. I was talked to. The first bulletin that I got is that they were in talks with Fox because Fox was very, very happy with the way the DVDs were selling. (Executive Producer) David Cohen told me they were in talks with Fox and that things were looking great, and that their idea was to make a Futurama movie to DVD, and then maybe release a second one. Then I heard that it was decided to do that.

IGNFF: And you're ready and rarin' to go?

WEST: I'm ready and rarin' to go, because I love that show more than anything. I thought it was just far and away above anything I had ever done.
