Interview With Writer Westbrook

Dr. Sarah Greenwald of Appalachian State University and simpsonsmath.com was able to land an interview with Futurama/Simpsons writer Jeff Westbrook, which she has now published a transcript of. As a Princeton and Harvard graduate with a PhD in computer science, Jeff is one of the science-heavy contributors to Futurama. In the interview he gives some new information on the alien languages, on the logical problems of the Farnsworth Parabox and on some background math jokes. He also explains how he ended up writing in Hollywood. Have a read.

Some nice info, but I wish he would have had something to say about the new Futurama movies. Oh well, maybe he's not involved yet.

That is kind of interesting I always thought they just sort of made stuff up to make it sound all scientific and stuff. Just another reason why they should bring back futurama.

Yes, Futurama's great! They take real science and give it a comical twist. They'll even go as far as to insert puns that only college professors can understand.
(I know of several. Puns and professors.)

Also, I'd like to add that I'm glad they cleared up that Alien Language 3 dilemma. It was driving me nuts!

On top of all of Jeff's other accomplishments, he ran the foredeck on Staghound.
