What is it about Futurama sites that attract the trolls, anyway? It's not as though we Futurama fans visit Simpsons or Family Guy sites and start posting "Simpsons Suck!" (or "Family Guy Sucks") drivel all over those sites. What's the deal here?

Futurama is a the greatest, it's the only show thats something differnent example the simpsons , family guy , american dad and king of the hill are al the same. there all family members .....but futruama is a package company and it shows how they all meet!

The same goes for any animated comedy (simpsons and Family Guy are good e.g.'s), they exploit their freedom from the laws of science.
You can make a *very* long list of non-credible things about Futurama, starting with the fact that society in the year 3000 is a facsimile of the 1990's. But that's what makes it funny, you'll enjoy the show more if you suspend your disbelief.

i'm damm stoked that they are makeing more episodes of the greatest catroon ever.. but it worries me to think that in doing so it will ruin its cult status and every man women and child will think they know everything about it and all that.. it has happend with Family Guy.. and the show is still great but the fact that everyone watches it makes it less interesting.. and I'm hopeing that the Hiatus won't have caused the writers to get "sloppy" and/or try to re-invent charactures... .. but who cares aye.. bring on the new season..

Aliens in this shows are the greatest ever, don,t change them.

There's good stuff and ther's bad stuff in Futurama, but the good stuff usualy overwhelms the bad.

If I'd have to complain about something(which I do) in Futurama, it would probably be the bad character development, which is affected by the sometimes stupid humor... but I NO WAY about the parody of world they live in.

There's something you don't have to belive, such as Zoidberg's credibility, and thing YOU SHOULD, such as human emotions, sometimes it screws those up too(see the Fry-Leela plot), but usualy there cool... and "realistic".

I rest my case. :)

Sure hell know what they might decide to do, if they'd like to be complete morons, they might air the old ones first for 2-4 months... then the new ones, so + 60-120 days. But I see no reason for them to do that. By 2007 we will probably get to see the '08 scheudule.ent here. Please stay on-topic.

New futurama news

The interview brought up an interesting point about piracy. Billy didn't come down to hard on it, but i would bet that futurama is definitely a show that got hit by file sharing in a pretty harsh way. Don't get me wrong, downloading something cause you missed the episode, or cause that is the ONLY episode you like is great and fine, but people who don't watch cable or don't buy dvd's and download the episodes are selling the rest of us short.
Shit, don't complain about money. You had the 1k to sink into that computer, you can handle 80 bucks for a couple dvd's to keep a great show on the air.

what station is futurama going to be on anyway. so i make sure i have it when it comes back on air. adult swim should get it because they are the ones who brought it back on t.v. and made people like it again its only fair.

Me being a big fan, my kids have grown up on futurama. They were younger then & didn't catch the adult humour. Now, they kind of get it but it's too late. Snoo Snoo... ..oh boy... By the time that the new ones come out, their age won't be as much of an issue. The adult humour is much more subtle than Family Guy which they do NOT watch.

Family Guy uses the sledgehammer approach to humour, Futurama the rapier. But I definitely wouldn't let under-14's watch Family Guy or Southpark...

Quick Stop Entertainment has a huge interview with Maurice LaMarche. The interview was done a few years ago, but they did a follow up section where Maurice talks about how excited he is for the return of Futurama and said they started doing voice recording in early August.

Regarding post #39, where I assume you are referring to me, let me say I wasn't trolling. The stuff that got deleted was someone using the handle I normally do and saying that, "I hated Futurama now." I was pissed, and I am sure you would be too. Now, I did step over my bounds accusing certain individuals, but I've gotten in some comment fights with those two before, and so, because I was angry someone tried to make me out to be a troll, I didn't think clearly and I accused them. Instead, it was probably just some asshole who never posts on here.

Again, I was not trying to start a flame war, I was just pissed that someone impersonated me and claimed I hated futurama, which led to people bashing me for something I didn't do. I am but a humble tv viewer, overwhelmed by the constant junk it has crammed down my throat ever since Futurama became cancelled(and where i live my tv doesn't get comedy central or cartoon network....just comedy network and teletoon...and i don't even get teletoon!)The executives at Fox are retards for cancelling Futurama anyways,i mean it's alot smarter than family guy or american dad and the Futurama crew doen't bleed a gag dry like family guy or amrican dad and the animation is better and voice acting,the writers them selves are geniuses.Also the fact that it's 1000 years in the future makes aliens,robots,spaceships all plauseable and the situations they're put in realistic(a mother hating baby,an alcoholic dog,a perverted fish,a gay alien and an evil monkey could exist in the future but not now seth).Now that the show is back Hazaa's are in order..HAZAAA!,because like posted above my comerades it gives us a reason to watch tv all over again.

Not much. Futurama is in production, the cast is reputedly ecstatic to be working together again, and we'll start seeing the new episodes at the end of 2007 or the beginning of 2008. That's about it, until Billy West gets drunk and spills the beans again or is allowed to disseminate more info.

Billy admitted to leaking news way prematurely after he had a little too much to drink one night. I'd assume that by "a little too much to drink" meant he was drunk, by his own admission.
