i don't know if i want fox to have it, i mean they already screwed it up once. with the crappy schedule they had it on, you never knew when they were going to air it. if they don't take care of it this time, they would just cancel it again. comedy central would treat it much better...cartoon network would be best though.

Oh Yeah!! The news just keeps getting better! this is a dream come true. Futurama is the best thing that has ever been on FOX and they were IDIOTS!!! to let it go. Family Guy is a pretty lame show that takes a joke and runs into the ground. When they are not doing that they steal scenes from movies because they can't come up with anything original. Futurama was always funny and original they didn't have to stoop to such low standards just to keep viewers interested. Bring on more Futurama!!

Fox Network (20th century Fox) Cancel Futurama because they are all a bunch of Simpsons fanboys who make money on crapy simpsons merchandises.

The Simpsons has gone on for 18 long years, it is old, is running out of ideas, recycling old plots ideas, the characters have changed from funny to a bunch of idiots and I have lost some interest in The Simpsons.

Futurama was fresh, new to watch, it is set in the 30th/31st century with new characters, plots and ideas.

The Simpsons ratings started to go down so they put Futurama on a crappy schedule. So The Simpson

I'm pretty sure Channel 10 (Free-to-air) will show the new Futurama episodes in Australia, as episodes have been rating well for them and if they could make a deal to show the episodes before they come out on DVD they would rate a lot better...

Comedy Central either owns or has strong links to "The Comedy Channel" (D513 on Cable) so they might end up there as well. Or possibly FOX8 might pick them up.

One of the guys I work with mentioned something about Futurama coming back so I had to check it out. I can't believe it's true! I hate to say it, but seeing the same episodes on Adult Swim over and over are starting to get old for me.

The writing on "Futurama" is top-shelf, incisive social commentary. The artwork and 3D animation is simply beautiful to watch. The show just rules!

FOX should have gotten rid of King of The Hill years ago. anyways just my opinion, but if FOX was smart, and they aren't, the would have never sold Futurama over to Comedy Central, even though it is one of my favorite channels on basic cable. Instead they should've planned to remove King of The Hill from the line up on Sunday night and replaced it with new Futurama episodes. But instead they keep King of The Hill and add another crappy show, "The Winner", to the line up. I've never seen it though and base my opinion only off of the commercials, which just seem lame (and I loved Rob Corddry when he was on the Daily Show, but not on his own). Sweet Zombie Jesus what the hell are they thinking over there at FOX.

good news about Futurama always cheers me up, no matter how miserable I already am. recently i started collecting the comic books so I kinda am completely back into Futurama right now to put it mildly. over and over again i'm reading them and, just like the DVD's, I can't get enough of them.

well anyhow.. sounds like we all just need to wait patiently to find out who gets to air the episodes.

ps. does anyone know which comics will be reissued in the upcoming Trade Paperback, "Futurama Conquers the Universe", scheduled to be released in october?

Re Fox airing the new episodes - they also CENSOR [for example {I know we hate Family Guy but...} the episode where Lois and Peter are stoned on the couch, and Lois says "He's knocking at the back door Brian, should I let him in?" - this was cut on Fox, but aired uncut on Adult Swim. Considering the comment in one of the interviews about the DVD releases being edgier we may have to buy the DVDs to see the new stuff uncut.

Yeah it sucking was one thing I was worried about, like I adore family guy but the newest ones blow next to the old episodes, but I think since everyone from the original cast and crew is comeing back it will be gold, like the simpsons, in my opinion, has been constantly good all these year so Im sure Futurama will be just as good possibly better than before I dont think Matt will let us down...Oh gosh I just cant wait...Ah something to look forward to...Life makes sence again

I love Futurama, and am excitedly awaiting the arrival of the new episodes. I own all of the DVDs, and I will buy the new ones as they are released to show my undying support for this wonderful, creative, beautiful work of art.

I only hope the relationship between Fry and Leela does not end in heartbreak, as did Edna and Seymour's. MG simply couldn't be that unfeeling of his fan base.

I agree with Ben, the episode "Jurassic Bark" has got to be the saddest episode EVER! Lets hope they bring Seymour back, the ending scene almost brings a tear to my eye EVERY time I watch it.

I remember reading through the lines of one of the various interviews, there will be at least one more episode involving Seymour. At this point, I doubt creating an online petition would be helpful. But hey, strong DVD sales coupled with an online petition can lead to more shows down the road. It worked once!

Futurama balances the dichotomy between sweet/sad and funny better than anything i've seen. It's brain candy. I tend to be a little more pessimistic about the new episodes than most of you, however. I hope i'm proved wrong.
