Futurama is the best animated show to ever receive a corporate ax. Family guy is great, but the creators try to humor themselves more than the fans. Futurama is a perfect balance. I personally enjoy the hilarious audio commentaries with John DiMaggio on the season box sets. Show me a release date and I'll have the money ready!

Thanks for the compliments... yeah, it's really me. I don't know why some have had a hard time believing an actor actually posts on IMDB. I'm a fan of the medium as well as working in it, plus, I appreciate that anyone appreciates my work, and want to let them know I do. I'm just too damn lazy to put up my own website. Plus, it would then rather obligate me to post on a regular basis, and I really only want to post when I have something interesting to say.

Speaking of which, Bender's Big Score is in post, and I assume we'll be tweaking the jokes in ADR soon (as if they weren't brillant enough already). It's set for a 12/4/07 release. The other 3 DVDs are great, too. We just recorded the final one, "Into the Wild Green Yonder" (hey, if I'm not really me, then how would I know that? Just a passing shot to the naysayers as to the veracity of my identity) all this past week. A great script, touching, relevant, a bit awe-inspiring, and of course, full of huge laughs. And the cast was in the finest form, even yours truly, who gets to do a hilarious B-story with The Donbot and Clamps at their funniest and most menacing.

Take care, and thanks for helping revive our little show. That goes also to all of you reading this, which I assume you're doing because you're Futurama fans. We're back because of your actions, both through letters and DVD sales, which let the powers that be know that Futurama is loved and missed.

Alright!!! I love finding out every little detail. Every little tidbit. I can hardly wait for Dec. 4. It's great to hear from the actors themselves and how excited they are about the project(Thanks Maurice!!) Futurama Rocks!!

I just watched the Simpsons Movie -- it had quite a bit of 3D effects in it, just like ... yeah! I missed it for soooo long, those excellent effects! hmmmmmmm...! Only a few months to go!

I found an update of what happend at the panel. Sounds like a lot of fun, but there is no mention of a trailer being shown, which I was almost certain would have been shown. It should be said that there are some very spoilers about the plot(very very minor, I'm just not sure how sensative people here are to those types of things...)

This is VERY LIKELY a typo but there's an article at IGN about the Simpsons panel at Comic-Con and down near the bottom there's mention of 60 new episodes of Futurama being produced. I have to assume the place was noisy and whoever wrote the article misheard "sixteen" as "sixty."

The panel was quite fun, and yes, they did show a five-mintue trailer, though I'm not certain it was all footage from the new film; it opened with a lot of digs at a company named Twentieth-Century Box, and the idiot executives there who cancelled Planet Express' delivery episodes. On a similar note, most of the panel involved the voice actors reading a comic book they were distributing at the Con, which bridged the gab from Planet Express' cancellation, to them getting stuck in an endless time loop at the Carton Network, to the successful release on DVD of Scruffy's Hidden Camera videos. Funny stuff. The panel, with the whole voice acting crew, spent a lot of time discussing voiceover stuff, with lots of talk about the origins of various voices. But as for the details of the new DVDs/episodes, its four movies, broken down into 16 episodes, which will air along with the old episodes on Comedy Central starting 1/1/08. The epsidoes will be reedited, to give them a whole story arc, rather than just cutting the movies into four pieces, but nothing was mentioned about new content. Someone asked if the new episodes will be coming to DVD as well as the movies, and someone on the panel (Cohen, I think) said that Fox would surely be conducting a survey at Comic-Con to see how big of suckers the fans are. And the episodes are being prepared in widescreen and HD (though someone said their initial release wouldn't be in HD, which isn't surprising, as I don't think Comedy Central has an HD channel). When asked about the budgetary contraints of basic cable, it was revealed the soundtrack was made with a synthisizer, not a live orchestra. But while that's too bad, the move to cable means more nudity. When asked if the move to cable meant they could be edgier, someone asked, "Did you not see all the dick jokes in the trailer?"

I'm probably forgetting stuff, but I think you get the idea. They did give a release date for the first DVD, but I didn't write it down--thought it was in the comic book, but it just says Holiday 2007. The date was late November, if memory serves.
