FUTURAMA: BENDER'S GAME

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Debuts The Most Futuristic Medieval Adventure Ever On Hi-Def Blu-ray

Touching Down On DVD And Blu-ray Disc November 4

Century City, CA - Head back to the future when 'Futurama: Bender's Game' premieres on DVD and, for the first time, Blu-ray Disc November 4 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Park your hover-car and saddle up your unicorn for the most fantastical "Futurama" yet: 'Futurama: Bender's Game'. With fuel prices skyrocketing, the Planet Express crew sets off on a dangerous mission to infiltrate the world's only dark-matter mine, source of all spaceship fuel. But deep beneath the surface, they discover a far stranger place...a medieval land of dragons and sorcery and intoxicated knights who look suspiciously like Bender.

Joining the cast are guest stars George Takei, the iconic Captain Sulu from the original "Star Trek" series, and comic impressionist Rich Little.

The third installment of four all-new feature-length adventures, the 'Futurama: Bender's Game' DVD and Blu-ray are packed with special features. Hosted by David X. Cohen, 'Dungeons & Dragons & Futurama' chronicles the influence of the classic role-playing fantasy game on the franchise. Other special features include outtakes, cast commentary, an anti-piracy message from Bender, an interactive Futurama Genetics Laboratory, a sneak peek at the next Futurama epic, and much more!

The 'Futurama: Bender's Game' DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S. / $37.98 Canada, and on Blu-ray for $39.98 U.S. / $49.98 Canada.

Here's hoping the Blu-Ray makes it to Europe, since I'm waiting to buy these films in HD rather than buy the DVD then double-dip down the line. I remember Cohen saying they would all be available in High Definition back before Bender's Big Score was released, so perhaps they'll release a HD boxset of all four movies?

Hey are you going to have another contest?

Quite likely around October. But that shouldn't stop you from preordering. You can always cancel your preorder in case you win ;)

Wow, the BD will include Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese subtitles. Didn't they fit on the regular DVD? Heheheh!
Can't wait for a box-set to appear here in Europe, to put next to my other 4 boxsets!

does anyone know if the bluray is region-free - so will it work on a pal ps3? otherwise i will just order the dvd, i have a region-free dvd player :-)

i would rather have the bluray though, for animation-movies the high-definition has really paid off. (ice age - wow!)

Do you really need a high def copy of futurama? Since the animation is so simple i cant see how it would look better in high def?

Still, people may be used to HD. I have HD tv and when you put the reg channel on it looks so different. I'd like to see the difference of Blu-Ray to DVD...but I don't own a Blu-Ray player.
