One question though: What does "Pogs" mean?

Pogs were popular about 10 years ago. They were cardboard circles with pictures on them. There was a whole game behind them, but most people just collected them. They were kind of like Beanie Babies- got really popular really fast, and are now worthless.

I already knew a lot of this stuff but it was still an interesting article. I think I speak for most Futurama fans when I say that I hope that Fox or Comedy Central orders a new season. I'd rather have it be Comedy Central since they seem to treat the series with more respect and are thus less likely to recancel it.

On a negative note I hope that if there is a 6th season it is made up of 22 minute episodes. The movies were nice (save for the second half of BWABB) but Futurama works better in the T.V. show format.

I agree with you FistfulOAwesome, I really beg and plead that Fox or Comedy Central will order the new season. I really think if they reair it, more people would watch it. I also like it better with the 22 minute shows. It is more spontaneous and random.

I want nothing more than for Futurama to return in full force. I love all 4 movies and I have every season of the show and I have them all copied to my computer in a nice big playlist that is on repeat and shuffle and I go to sleep to it everynight.

Fryrish if you want to do that there is a program called DVD Pean (for Windows) or Mac the Ripper (for a Mac) but they are a bit naff so maybe just download them (legitimately).

I would absolutely contribute, but each episode costs several hundred thousand dollars. So, it's not really viable.

I would really love it if futurama was brought back to tv with brand new episodes. My husband and kids are tired of reruns. I just bought the new movie . ( great by the way) while watching it my son sat watching and kept saying wow not a rerun. There are so many futurama fans who would love to help if need be. Just so there would be a couple of new seasons. Come on people we are waiting .

People of earth just need futurama. It is so epic, so great that it must be contiued. Nothing would make me happier than a new season of good old futurama. My futurama dvd-s (and comics also) are on their way from amazon. I'am willing to buy all the dvd's twice, even third times if someone promises that there will be a new season. Despite that no vendor sells them in my country. The VAT and the shipping cost is way over the limit, but i don't care. I need futurama. I love futurama. Futurama must be continued!

I have liked the last three movies, was disappointed with the first. They got better and better and once again it feels like futurama gets cancelled. Seasons 4 got cancelled, and movie four was the last. Still sales of the DVD can help.

I love Futurama!!! I got all four volumes, and all four movies!!! I got the movies for my cousin as well to help with the sales, I really hope Comedy Central would pick up the show for a new season. People should go to Comedy Central and write a letter to them for bringing Futurama back!!!

I rely on Futurama every day. I need to laugh and smile and that's what does it for me. I have viewed every episode at least 10 times each and the 4 new movies about 3 times each and that includes "Into the Wild Green Yonder". I relate best to the episode where Fry talks about how Star Trek made him feel like he had friends and to be honest thats how the cast of Futurama makes me feel, and I have lots of real life friends. I just would hate to see it end. My girlfriend is now a devout fan as well. She started off saying that it was a boring show, but Zoidberg has captured her humor glands! Personally I need Bender and the Professor in my life, like I need air and H2O. So please I beg of you, make another 20 SEASONS....or more..and if FOX or the Comedy Network won't buy another season then they can bite my shiney (lilly white) ass!

I just wish that Fox (or whomever actually does own the rights to Futurama), would just sell the rights to make more to an organization like SouthParkStudios or Seth McFarlane (Good chance that Matt and Trey would stream them too) and let them go forward with it. Futurama is truly fantastic. My favorite show by miles. Cancel that simpsons crap - swap it for futurama. Im a bigger fan that you because If you give me a quote from any episode from any character I can tell you what episode it came from. Of course this doesn't work online cause anyone could just google it... My mate and I debate who is the greater futurama fan. Very rarely do we throw each other a quote we don't know. Anyway, awesome show, more please.

Matt, if the ideas and will to keep going are there, PLEASE create more episodes of Futurama! Why not finance them yourself or with some investment partners, if a network can't buy them now? That way, you can show love to your innumerable fans who have shown your amazing work love for decades.

I was -and still am- a big fan of the series, and I really think those 4 original seasons of futurama are nothing but the best, to the day, tv animation has to offer -way better than the simpsons, family guy, american dad, south park, the animated clone wars ect. I was really looking forward for the feature lengths but, to be honest, I was disapointed. Big Score and The Beast are just ok, Game is bad and Green Yonder is again just ok. It seems I had high hopes, I think they ought to restart the series which were brilliant.

Futurama is THE best animated show ever, they have to make more episodes, we can't live off repeats forever! I don't care if it comes back as movies, episodes or even pogs.. as long as it does return.

I watch Futurama as my only real stress relief from graduate school. I used to stay up late at night suffering through other tv shows to watch it even though I had already seen all of the episodes before and even though it was comming on latter than I should have been up to watch. Its the only series that I buy from the store right away and as long as they keep making them I will buy them no question. Hubert Farnsworth is too sweet! "Oh my..."
