Quick note for spontaneous Futurama fans:

They will be doing a bunch of individual panels on Saturday, October 3rd, and a Futurama group panel on Sunday, October 4th, 1:45 PM - 3 PM.

David's panel on Saturday at 4 PM and the group panel on Sunday at 1:45 PM will feature a special treat: A 3-minute opening animatic of the first episode of the new season to premier in 2010.

I just came back from Supercon in Miami, here's the run-down from David X. Cohen (really awesome guy, btw):

(SPOILERS AHEAD)
-
-
-
-
-
- Fry and Professor Farnsworth try to "rebirth" and reconstruct the crew after their devastating return to Earth.
- Leela and Zap get trapped on an Eden-like planet (obviously, spoofing Adam and Eve).
- Bender and Amy get intimate.
- In a parody of The Davinci Code, the crew ends up on Space Rome. (Space Pope makes a quick appearance in this one.)

- Hyperchicken returns in episode 4 of the new season.

Been a long day-- if I remember anything else, I'll post it later.

So I am assuming that the episodes take place after the fourth film?

Jeremy: That is correct. They take place immediately after the last movie.

MORE SPOILERS

The wormhole that they go through at the end of the last movie leads them directly back to Earth. But when they get there, they crash, and everyone but Fry and the Professor are "killed." (Zapp is included in the crash.)

Another episode is said to show what happens to inventions such as Twitter and iPod. (In the future, it is implanted in your eye.)

The Nibbler shadow at the end of the fourth movie is an Easter Egg and has no significant meaning behind it.

There will be, however, a Nibbler-centric episode this upcoming season.

Well I could asking and asking, but I guess there really isnt any other info. The show is back and that's all I really care about with the original voices. Better news than anything else at this point.

Anybody got any dates for the new series?

Considering how huge Futurama's return is for fans, there really isn't very much news about it
LorbtorbOct 9th 2009, 08:40
Del: The new season is set to premier on June 10 2010.

Always been first for information on this website!! thankfully its back running how it was.

yea for most the people who haven't yet seen it you can watch it on that video tube website thingy.

Looks absolutely fabulous, and pretty much how i thought they'd start the new series after the movie ending.

Lets just hope this is its rebirth similar to what happened to that family man program!!

so no news on Nibler? Dangit I've been wondering about where he went after eating himself in Bender's Big Score.

Also what's this about a shadow in Wild Green Yonder?
ManicManNov 5th 2009, 17:44
After Bender's Big Score, Nibler reappears as a fairly major part in Bender's game. I can't remember seeing the shadow myself, which doesn't say much, but in the whole Nibler story, you REALLY need to watch Bender's game...
