A Futurama Theme Park Ride?!!

Apparently this was a ride that was considered at some point. I'm not sure how far it got in planning but it sounds very sweet!!

The author of the article hopes to see it come to the light of day. But I'm sure its simply on the drawing board.

As to which theme park, it would probably end up in one of the Paramount theme parks since Viacom ownes Paramount and Viacom also owns Comedy Central

It's a proposed ride for Universal Orlando. They had a survey out about it a few months back.

That actually makes sense since there is a Simpsons ride at Universal Orlando. So I guess they would shell out the licensing monies to Fox.

And I guess that's probably why it would be shelved and the make a comeback at another park ... haha.

dont get me wrong i love futurama..thats why im here and i love rides...but i really dont see the fun in this ride or the comedy ....fry always turns around and says "and this is where something goes horribly wrong!!!" i dont know about all thout i would have to see it first and yes i know its just in the planning stages as of right now and still needs to be worked on...but right dont seem like much to me

The fourth entry is indeed a viable guess, as there was indeed a survey offered to guests that mentioned the series as a possible attraction.

Shame it didn't take Back to the Future's location, as it would have fit far better within the "World Expo" theme than The Simpsons.

Regardless, there's still an opportunity for it to transpire if and when the notion presents itself.

I'd like to think the ride would draw in a crowd, even if the series isn't quite as "universal" as The Simpsons, in an ironic twist of events.
