The Countdown Continues

Hope you're all getting excited about the impending Season 6 Premiere at 10pm, 24th June only on Comedy Central!

So here's a good way to countdown to the event. Starting today there are 76 earth days left until the big day meaning that you could, starting today, watch the series from beginning to end, an episode a day(with the 4 movies on the last 4 days). Worried that would make you too much of a nerdlinger? Nope, didn't think so!

We'll be doing the episode count down via our twitter page so why not join in!

Also, if you have any news or articles about the show tweet us email us or post on our Facebook page.
Well, I'm bored of this room and everyone in it! Bye!

The only problem wit this plan is that i can't just watch one episode. if i break out the DVD i'm watching every episode on that DVD! and then maybe the next disc in the season!!

Futurama is like Pringles, once you pop you can't stop. or like Lays, i bet you can't watch just one! :P

Brilliant! I'm planning on a party that evening with my most nerdy friends but a countdown seem very fitting.

I have every episode and all four movies on my ipod. I've been watching an episode every night, right before I go to sleep, curled up in bed, for years. And I do mean every single night. This show is my all time favourite cartoon. I've got an app on my ipod counting down the days! Can't wait!

I hope new episodes won't be as bad as last 3 Futurama movies. Keep my fingers crossed, and definitely counting days to June 24th.

In the USA there was a short season 4 and 5 but in the UK they were just shown as Season 4. DVD releases in the UK reflect this, I think they do in the US too.

Has any more info been released about the shows? Its like a media black out!

Re: "Illegal downloads" - isnt the entire lot on Itunes now? Not all downloads are illegal, maybe the info page should be altered to refect this as legit downloaders could be turned away on this out of date advice?

I'm very excited to see Futurama finally return! I'm concerned, however, that Comedy Central may try and edit out all of the Muhammad jokes this series is so well-known and loved for.

This can't be the 6th season of "Futurama." Originally, there were four PRODUCTION SEASONS. FOX had a habit of preempting the last episodes of Futurama from season 1 and carried them over to Season 2. Some episodes from season 2 were preempted and carried over to season 3 and so on for season 4. Fox had enough episodes preempted and In the can so they told the writers and staff the show was canceled. Fox later brought Futurama back for "Season 5," which was a large stockpile of season 3 and 4 episodes broadcast out of order until August 2003. This is how I remember it. The new season should really be "Production Season FIVE" if we disregard the 4 dvd movies.

If this dose not make it to CDN TV... I will not be responsible for any violent action I may or may not take. Putting some fears that season 6 may not be up to snuff I take solace that the writers read blogs and and fan sites to make sure the story has continuity. If they continue to do this I have no fear of bad episodes.

season 5, production wise is the four movies broken into 16 episodes ( each mo ie has four production numbers) for comedy central / future syndication.

when comedy central got the rights, they wanted new episodes. 16 were agreed upon. the crew wanted to do some longer arcs, and fox saw that has an opportunity to cash in, and thus 4 4 Episode stories were made and marketed as movies, just like they did with the three episode story on family guy that became known as the stewie movie, thus the so-called movies are season five, check the production numbers, and episodes 73-88 overall.
