I think this episode is the worst of the new ones so far. The first two were the best im my opinion both with great and weird stories.

The problem with the last two episodes, and especially this one is that the it feels like theyre just taking whatever is up in the real world and making a story about it. Ipod, facebook, twitter, somethingsexual marriage, and what was the deal with amy and kiff fighting and breaking up that should never happen.

I just think the last two episodes been too serious and real life like.

PS: What up with Farnsworth admitting he is wrong at the end. That end was preaching so much morality and it sucks. Futurama should do that i dont think. Even tho i agree with the morality of the story. I dont have any memories of any of the old episodes preaching so hard.

I didn't hate it. I still have my concerns, but this was closer to the Futurama I remember.

I liked the episode, but the end was kinda weak. Probably b/c of time constraints. At least it was resolved properly by having Bender abandon Amy based on his usual impulses. As far as robot morality goes, the jacking-on episode was way better. I imagine the longer the show stays on the air, the more they will move away from the topical and get back in the groove of just being "Futurama."

I thought this episode was better than last week's, but still not Futurama. I think my problem, is the writers are talking about things that are happening today- not in the year 3010. What made Futurama so great was the fact that it took place in the future. So far, I haven't felt like it is "futuristic." I don't hate these episodes, but they are definitely not Futurama. Also, I am not seeing sight gags and there seems to be less "random" statements that make you piss your pants laughing.

It isnt Futuristic as people are saying, IT isnt the best but there are still some laugh out momments. But when I watched the old episode it was in the future and took me away from this world for 20 minutes, But now It's just like watching anything else on TV.

FWIW, After being disappointed with the season so far, I quite liked this episode - definitely a step closer to the old futurama with everything getting resolved properly at the end and some good laughs ("If you hate intolerance and being punched in the face by me, sign up!") rofl.

Lets hope it continues.

until know i'm very disappointed... i didn't watch the newest one but the first three. it's not the old futurama :-| i would say the first two episodes from the new season are the worst ever!

but there will be 26 altogether... so lets hope! :)

It is really silly to say that Futurama should not talk about today

The worst of the new ones so far - a ham-fisted attempt at addressing current day issues. The only laugh I had was Morbo's "I ALWAYS HATED JIM!"

I thought it was a pretty good episode until the end, they seemed to have just rushed the ending a tad too much. Stupid time constraints. :(:(

This EP was exactly the feel and style of old EPs and I loved it. The eyePhone EP was good as well. Both are in the feel and style of the old EPs, and tbh if I saw Prop Inf in another season previously it would be completely normal and I would think it was really good.

I thought this ep had some laughs, but tried too hard to be cleverly topical. It succeeded at the topical part.

So has anyone else noticed the lack of cartoon blips in the tv they crash into in the beginning? That's a little issue I have with the new Futuramas. I am not sure if I idealized the old episodes for 7 years making this season worse or they are still trying to get back into the groove or even the competition with Family Guy and South Park making these episodes a little more dirty that makes it seem less like old Futurama. I still love Futurama but I can't quite figure out what is missing.

yep, and i noticed too that there isnt even that ship flying around the city, like it use to be( if i remember right)

But about this episode, well it was quite good. I think that these new episodes should be little longer, they seems to end very suddenly and feels very shorts, althougt really they are as long as old episodes. Maybe i feel this way cos i just watched those movies, or that these episodes are so good that i dont even notice who time flies.

I think the problem is that they have to (re)learn how to write Futurama on the fly, sort of like season 1.

They're trying to cram their movie style plots into the 22 minutes of a Futurama episode, once they get comfortable writing again then the stories will have a natural progressive flow and won't feel as forced.

this one was about society's take on inter.... marriage. (I was going to say interracial, but I don't think that applies here.)
you need to realize that the characters sometimes act out of character for the purpose of the episode's topic.

Oh please. Those who have been whining "this episode was the worst this season" need to get a clue. Of the 4 episodes seen this season, this was by far the best; it felt more like the original run Futurama episodes. Stop trying to act like you're intellectual critics (you're not) and enjoy it for what it is; a funny, sarcastic, satirical cartoon.

Wow, i'm a hard core futurama fan, have been since the very first episode aired, needless to say, i was extremely excited about this new season, when i saw the first two episodes, i was more then disappointed but i figured that it's been of the air and it needs to get its groove back.

After watching all of the new episodes, i'm refusing to believe that this new season exists. One of the things that kept the old episodes interesting was watching what would happen between fry and leela, now there's no exitement, no tention or anything between them.

I knew that this season would be more "adult", but it doesn't mean that they have to make almost every joke sexual, it completely ruins the value of the show.

Watching Bender and Amy date was it for me, i officially believe that this show will never be the same. They haven't made a single delivery, which is what made the show what it is, seeing all the goofy planets, and all the goofy aliens, it was original and amazing.

Now they're trying to make episodes about youtube, and have everyone date. Where has all the originality gone? It's like watching south park and family guy all in one. I'm a die-hard fan of Futurama, and i am severely disappointed in this new season.

I don't have to be an intellectual critic, (or act like one) to know that this show has changed, and not for the better.

I am surprised that some people have had such a negative reaction to the new episodes. I'd give this episode a 7 out of 10, the eyePhone episode a 9 out of 10, Rebirth a 8 out of 10, and Ina-gadda-da-Leela a 7 out of 10.

I like the fact that they can be a little more adult and am surprised that anyone thinks they have been excessively sexual. Some people have been poorly socialized about sex by a repressed, screwed up America. Very sad!

I think these episodes have all been better than the movies and am glad they are back. Good news everyone!!

I Love the 4 new episodes!

I hope they incluide "Recap-O-Rama" as bonus in Season Six dvds...

I have enjoyed every episode so far this season. I think episode 1 was a good recap episode. The second one was my least favorite though I think because it felt a little rushed. Loved the Killer App one especially the zombie reference to iphone users. And this latest episode gets a 9/10 from me losing points only for Amy & Kif getting back together in the end. I think that was a rushed way to end things and they need to realize they have 26 episodes they can work with(and maybe more if these go well) so you can end the episode with some sort of cliff hanger which will pick up in another episode. Feels a bit like a simpsons episode where nothing continues into another episode but we will see where the rest of the season takes us. Still excited it's back! Feel amazing to have been part of the revival of futurama and family guy(please don't hate..lol...it was a good show when it was first brought back).

^No, Dirk, it was about the writers of Futurama trying to push a certain point of view, and as a result, some of us wish they hadn't. I'd rather they focus on the funny and the characters than trying so hard to be relevant. Screw that. This ep disappointed me. But so far, I'm not disappointed in the show overall, so I'll be back

it's so pathetic... whenever fans get what they want... they almost never are satisfied. years from now these eps will easily blend with the others. it's just that you people are watching new episodes after seeing the old ones 20 times each. there's no way it can live up to those levels.

this new season has been so great and the most upsetting part for me is hearing all the complaints. that's what's almost ruining it. boo hoo they are making fun of apple... boo hoo leela and fry aren't consistent (they never were) boo hoo amy is a slut, boo hoo it's too adult, boo hoo it moves to fast, boo hoo it moves too slow, boo hoo i know better than the people who made the show in the first place...

Why do people say this isn't as good as the old futurama. My god people this is what we have been trying to get back on the air for years. Not all the old series stories were good so it stands to reason that not all the new series will be great. So far we have had a good reboot of the series and it clearly showed that this was going to be aimed at audiences a little older than before.

The writers are still struggling with where the line in the sand is and what they can put over as funny. Ina Gadda I thought showed where the characters had come to quite nicely with Zap showing all the (lack of) charm and (no) wit that we have come to love. Just go back and check out his stories in previous episodes to see that that episode a good Zap episode.

This latest episode shows that the writers are still trying to come to grips with the new audience and trying to please averyone. There were some great jokes in there if you looked (Riker) and shows that the futurama is still the same Futurama we had before.

In the end I think it is great that Groening and Cohen got the show back on the air and they deserve a huge thankyou from all of the fanbase.

I am shocked that there are people who are fans of the original episodes that are saying these episodes are good. Shocked.

They are not good. By far the best was the first episode of the season, and since then it has more in common with Family Guy or Simpsons than it does with Futurama.

Hey don't get me wrong there are a few good jokes but ... bender and Amy hooking up? Come on. Get with the program comedy central, if you wanted a different show - why call it Futurama?

Weakest of the current season. Why was Bender making graffiti of himself all over the city? Why was he suddenly so interested in Amy? I kept waiting to see what his angle was, but there was no angle. They just had a story involving robots, so they picked the most convenient robot and dropped him in.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that didn't like this weeks episode. It was awkward at best. It started out strong with Bender vandalizing everything, but that went no where. The relationship between Bender and Amy just felt like they couldn't come up with anything, it made no sense and was retarded. I completely got what they were trying to say, they just said it in a profoundly stupid way.

Loved all the episodes so far. Times change... Futurama has a little.

I really enjoyed this episode! It's starting to feel a bit more like an episode show and less like a movie chopped up again. The first three seemed a bit "bite off more than they could chew," but this one pretty much fit nicely within the 23 minute time constraint.

I only felt gyped about the tornado bit, which I thought could have amounted to an entire episode itself, and went by too quickly.

All in all, I laughed many times, and really enjoyed it. Keep it up!! A few more Bender heavy episodes and we'll be back on track! Just stay away from Fry and Leela relationship themes, which have been played out, for awhile.

The first episode of the season felt like it was old Futurama. The ones that followed have seemed a little out of character and rushed.
The 2nd episode seemed abit lazy, i found the 3rd one better though (even though I hated the susan boyle- boyle. That just felt like a lazy joke that was thrown in: maybe i'm being abit picky).

But this episode (ep 4) felt abit wrong. (Not in the sense of anti robot marriage, in the sense of, Bender and Amy suddenly in love? and the ending rushed when Amy & Kiff get back together!)

They could have written the episode better with Bender and Amy only pretending to get together to support robo-sexual marriage, and Kiff getting upset and causing relationship difficulties not realising that it was just for the proposition. That would have made the episode make a bit more sense, and not result in lazy writing.

Is it just me or have the 7 years off the air resulted in poor writing. One would think they would have had ages to polish episoded plots. However this is just early days, and I hope they are just finding their feet again, and it can only get better. I just hope the writers think alittle more. They are genious' but right now, they aren't quite up to scratch.
Fingers crossed that the best is yet to come.

Ep.4 rating: 3 1/2 out of 5. Just because of the sligtly out of caracter and rushed ending. But I still love Futurama.

every episode of futurama is nothing less than perfect. sorry most of these dopes writing in here about not of enough of this kind of joke and too much of that kind of joke are the same dopes that didnt get the good jokes originally until the internet told them what to laugh at.

I've always thought the professor's self depricating humor was the best, and this episode had one of the best ones...."Back when I was full of piss and vinegar, and my bed wasn't..." hahaha. After the second viewing, though, it was still pretty weak overall. I just don't think the social commentary episodes are all that funny or original.

@Dirk - Actually, the cartoon snippets *don't* cost them any money as a vast majority of the clips are taken from cartoons in the public domain. The only clip I can recall that may have incurred royalties was the Tracey Ullman era Simpsons short.

I just could not get through this one.. I tried to watch it twice even! It was just dumb.

Some pretty funny jokes in this episode. Not too keen on the storyline though and ended a bit quickly. 3/5 Overall
