Out of all the new episodes this was the best

Great episode had me busting up repeatedly. It was fun and inventive, and it was nice to have a Farnsworth/Fry heavy episode again!

My only concern is that the writing team is still thinking too big. The content of this episode could have EASILY filled an 88 minute DVD movie, and they shoved it into a 22 minute TV episode, so it felt really rushed. There was hardly time to catch a breath, and jokes weren't allowed to simmer, nor cute plot intricacies develop.

Still - great, great great. I can't tell you how exiting it is to have Futurama back on the air!!!!!!

by far the best episode this year....

they need to make new video games (only ps3 or xbox) & merchandise to get more fans behind the show.....so the show can stay on for more than 3 years....

Also in the future they should make more shows about what's it's like in the year 3000 rather than keep mentioning the stuff we have in the year 2010 like Iphone or Twitter.

It wasn't the funniest episode, but it was engaging and inventive. I agree that it seemed like more than just a 30-minute episode of an animated sit-com.

There have been more hits than misses so far this new season, and for that I'm grateful.

A brilliant episode, it seemed to concentrate more on the futuristic element of the show and was definitely up to the standard of the old seasons. Loved the bit where the weapon replaced Bender's arm. What happened to that arm btw, lol. Keep them coming!!! :-)

Much better episode this week. Is it just me, or are they making Fry sound different....almost whinny? I think they need to re-watch their own episodes in terms of Fry and Bender to get back to the way the characters used to sound and act. They are trying way to hard to make Fry look dumb, we know he is retarded, but it used to come across much smoother before. Maybe I am looking too much into, it just feels like something is off.

Fry sounds the same to me, in the 1st episode the professor definitely sounded slower

Really good episode, tailed off a bit towards the end but the first part was great

I liked it but im wondering when this delivery company is actually going to do another delivery.
ThewhaJul 17th 2010, 15:06
Great episode. Clever writing, jokes were on point and the Professor was a riot as usual.

More, more MOOOOORE!!!!!

Did not like it. (surprised?)
if futurama started off like this in terms if quality,, I can guarantee you you all wouldnt be raving about it now.
This episode was a random storyline with a few old characters tossed in to trick you into thinking it's futurama. Aweful. My last episode I think.
DarkglassesJul 18th 2010, 04:58
This episode felt more like it belonged as a storyline for one of the Futurama Comics...

I love it!
The best episode this year!

I want more episodes!
(Why only 12 episodes this season?)

FUTURAMA rules!!!

I think this was the best episode of this series so far. I expect the creators have chosen to put them in a specific order that will get the weaker ones out the way first, they're clever enough to know which ones aren't up to the old standards.

I haven't seen it yet (don't live in the US). For 4LegsGood's comment about the 88 minute movie, I did think that most or all of the movies would have been much better as 22 minute episodes. It sounds like they're getting back into a pattern of good episodes now... here's hoping.

I think it was the worst episode so far..
Fry isnt Fry anymore... he becomes more and more
like Homer J. S. since season 12..
I miss Fry very much and i dislike what they made out of him...
buhJul 19th 2010, 11:08
Definitely a great episode, though I agree that it could have easily been made a movie-length story. I wish it would've been in place of BWaBB which had maybe 10 minutes of actual story.
WhyS: You're wearing glasses that are not merely rose-tinted but covered in an opaque rose paint. I would totally see where you're coming from with the episodes that came before this, I wouldn't exactly agree but I would understand. As for this one, well I just watched the last disc of volume 2 and can't say I enjoyed any of those episodes as much as this one.

I think Futurama finally got back into the groove of the old episodes. This episode was great and reminded me of old episodes. It may have had a little bit too much plot for a half hour show but I am still happy with this one.

Great episode. Hermes' comment, "Didn't we used to be a delivery company?" was classic!

Sadly, not impressed, it was fast paced, good, had funny jokes, good, but the voices were off, the character's personas were off, and the story was old...I mean how long ago was the Divinci code? So far this season has been a real dissapointment, the stories have been weak, and the animation doubley so. Proposition infinity was the most solid, but lacked humour, this had humour, but lacked timing and finess, I wish they would slow down the writing /editing process, take a look over it and see where they're going wrong, before they ruin Futurama forever. I would love it if the final episode of the seires was a 'What if' machine episode as in what would have happened if we had flown into that black hole, that way, this terrible series could be forgiven, and they could build a stronger set of stories for a new season, if they get one after the rubbish that has come out now!!
