It was an alright episode. I was disappointed to see Leela discarding Nibblers feces though. We all know that dark matter is valuable as starship fuel.

My ranking of the season so far from 1st to last

1."The Late Philip J. Fry"
2."The Duh-Vinci Code"
3."Lethal Inspection"
4."That Darn Katz!"
5."Attack of the Killer App"
6."In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela" ... roposition Infinity"

It seems like the last 4 episodes have been way better than the first 4

@Steve: Nope, not anymore, they use whale oil "these days"! Haven't you seen the movies? :)
babyBenderAug 6th 2010, 23:57
The Whale oil is green & ecologic?

Futurama is better than The Simpsons/Family Guy/South Park or anything!

so....fry and leela arent together...damn
LrrrAug 7th 2010, 15:12
I thought it was a funny episode. I mean we are all a little spoiled after the late philip j fry. I also do not think that we should judge season 6 so fast. I thing it will be funnier when you can see the episodes in a row and not have to wait a bloody week. Also it is diffucult for the creators to safe the series after how the networks have treated them.

I will destroy you!!!!

Guess I'll go on the bandwagon and say that Katz was pretty good, but "The Late Philip J Fry" was the best new episode... so far.

It was good to hear Nibbler speaking again.
GabeAug 7th 2010, 21:55
It was alright. But that schmoozle/schmitzl/schwhatever talking is very annoying. Please no more.

Awful episode. Like a fan written script gone bad. Terribly bad. And Amy has a phd in applied physics? Goodbye!
devoAug 9th 2010, 02:12
but... but... weren't Fry and Leela together just one episode ago? Why aren't they addressing this? It's kinda a major plot point.
DannySmoothAug 9th 2010, 13:46
Episode was pretty good, the ending was weak. Why did the energy return to Earth? If anything, the excess engery should have flung the alien planet into a near-by star. Then with half of the alien machine gone, the wrong-way spinning would have been achieved.

Still, I enjoyed the show.

@devo
best way I've seen it explained:
"After they made robot copies of each other and fell in love with them, they decided they were confused and agreed to take things slow."

so chill.

I think Futurama haven+t lost the edge yet and it still has fresh ideas, people just expect too much. But I agree, you can't judge it before some time passes.

I hear ya Steve, that's the exact thing I was thinking when she was dumping the litter box into the magma pit... That is until she mentioned the corn... At that point I chuckled and all was forgiven. lol

Yeah, not a fan of this episode. My two favorites so far were "The Late Phillip J. Fry," and "Lethal Inspection." Anything with cats isn't funny. Hopefully they can get back on track with next week's episode. I still can't figure out what the first few episodes were all about... but, it's Futurama, nonetheless. This episode did have some funny moments, but it was those funny moments that barely made me hang on to the episode- the plot was retarded.
buhAug 10th 2010, 08:04
@Bowtiebuster: As was already pointed out, dark matter was rendered inert in Bender's Game. In Into The Wild Green Yonder, it was revealed that whale oil is the new common fuel.

So yeah, I liked the new episode.
"The horse says, doctorate denied." Probably one of my favourite jokes ever.

Absolutely loved this one. My PhD examination is next month so I can relate!

Probably my least favourite episode of the new season. I was not a big fan of the plot and, although there were some good moments, not a very well written episode. But it's still Futurama and I still enjoyed it.

I don't think Futurama has "lost it" with the new season. I think a number of the new ones have been great. There were better and worse episodes in the old seasons as well...

So happy Futurama is back. The new episodes are as good as the old if not better. Hope everyone agrees.

I got a little lost with the can-can dancing cats. The show hasn't lost it's edge, tho, and I will be tuning in on Thursday!

Some of the best jokes yet

I think it's a better episode if you've had cats, a lot of things were very true

Nibbler was great

Futurama is back. People need to remember that we are lucky to have the show back in the first place.

Although, I agree that some episodes have been of lesser quality.

Whenever I watch seasons 1-4, I still laugh at jokes I've heard 100 times.

Those old episodes grew on me just as these new ones will.

But, we need way more Hedonism Bot scenes. By far the most disturbingly-funny character yet.
JakeAug 16th 2010, 06:56
One of my favourites so far. Agree with #21, Dirk - is funny if you've had cats.
MalfariousAug 20th 2010, 16:40
The new season is amazing, especially #s 3, 7 and 10. This episode is the weakest since the first two, however, despite my being a cat lover. The can-can cats was the worst joke on Futurama maybe ever. I shuddered. Fortunately, the season on a whole is fabulous.

I liked this episode, but there's one thing I didn't get. On one of the professor's doors it says "Please leave before entering." I think that is a physics joke and although I have a background in physics, I don't get it, and haven't found any explanation for it. Can anyone explain this one?
